Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Clinton County

This home was perfect for our family of four and our two small dogs. Lots of cute amenities in the house-coffee & creamer, snacks and even toothbrushes. Great fenced in yard in the front for the dogs. Very clean. We would definitely stay again.

Omgoodness! This place is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and everything described in the listing. Andy added so many welcoming touches from a personalized card to a bottle of champagne to help us celebrate our mini-moon. I’m absolutely in love with it! Looking forward to booking again in the future!

The place was really nice and fit everything we needed. We wanted a remote place to get away from day to day life and it was a perfect fit. We ran into some issues with water due to the cold freezing the pipes and they got someone out within a few hours to fix it the same night. Definitely was worth the price since the place was so nice. I would recommend to anyone looking for a remote peaceful stay in the woods.

Had a wonderful short stay at Melanie’s! Check-in and check-out was straightforward and Melanie was easy to communicate with. This little gem is an exceptional value for what you get- nothing fancy but very clean, well decorated, more space than you’d expect with the full basement and comfy futon, a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of amenities for the cost. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful and clean place to stay Becky is a great house and has a beautiful place

What an incredible place to stay! This is a big old house with lots of wonderful surprises--a kids' nook with great toys, books for kids and adults, a s'mores kit in the larder, interesting art, great outdoor space...everything you could possibly want. There's even a cabinet with a sign that says it has antique serving dishes from the 1800s, and guests should "feel free to use any of these items." I have never felt so strongly, staying in an Airbnb, that the hosts were clearly deeply kind and lovely people. The house obviously means a lot to them, and we felt right at home there.

The two houses were rented were both absolutely lovely. And the setting is to die for. Jersey Shore and Pine Creek are truly beautiful. I liked Thistle Dew Lodge best for its wonderful eccentricities but both homes were super.

What a quaint, little clean place in the middle of nowhere! We went to watch the meteor shower, where there was no light pollution and this was a perfect spot! Well warmed for our arrival, outside temperatures were frigid 15°. Each room has its own temperature adjustment unit, with clear instructions. I love the little signs that were all over the house. Kitchen was basic, but so glad there was at least salt and pepper there For our meal in the evening. Even a pizza pan for us! All around this is everything you’re looking for for us stay away in a cabin in the woods.

The house was easy to find, and directions were very clear and easy to get in. It was even nicer than we expected! Plenty of space for our group. I'd definitely recommend this location to others and would stay here again.
