Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Clarke County

We stayed at this house for my bachelorette party and had a blast! It is spacious and the area is beautiful and very private. You do have to go down some rough, bumpy gravel roads to get to it. The beds were comfortable and we were excited to find an extra twin bed in the attached apartment. It was perfect for a large group. One note I have is there was no TV in the main living room.

Bear Chase Cottage is just lovely. It is way more spacious than the pictures can show. We loved having a fireplace. It was cold the weekend we were there, and it was so nice to be warm by the fire. Very relaxing. Bedrooms are perfect size, and the beds are very comfortable. Very nice to have 2 bathrooms. The fenced yard is great. Our greyhounds enjoyed running around the yard. Hopefully we will get to stay again!

A+. Took the family out for a getaway with a few hikes planned in Shenandoah National park. The location of the house is perfect. Nestled right in the hills with an excellent view of the wilderness. Highly recommend.

Our group enjoyed our stay here! The house was the perfect size and a very cozy place for a nice small mountain town getaway. We loved being so close to Main Street and places to hike.

Home was beautifully decorated, very clean, it had all we needed for a few days stay, was as described in the listing. Lesley is a great host and extremely friendly.

This was not our first time staying here. Our host, Judy, is friendly, responsive, and just overall nice. We will be staying here again.

Cindy’s garage apartment was beautiful and well-stocked with all of the snacks and basics we could need. There’s even a dog washing station in the garage, and an electric car charger should you need. She provides a $25 gift certificate each night stayed to a local vineyard, brewery to restaurant, and there are many to choose from just a short 5-10 minute drive from the Airbnb! It was peak foliage when we went, and we had dinner at Magnolias at the Mill. We also checked out Bluemont Station Winery & Brewery, Bluemont Vineyard, Great Country Farms, Dirt Farm Brewing, and More Better (highly recommend!). All of these places were beautiful, dog-friendly and a short drive! If you are a light sleeper or want to sleep in, bring an eye mask as there is a large skylight right over the bed!

The place was charming, well stocked and very comfortable. The communication was great and we would definitely rent again.

Where to start? Kay was beyond proactive and friendly, helping me to find a restaurant nearby that had traditional pork / sauerkraut for New Years, even! The place was about the coziest I’ve stayed at, smelled amazing, and more snacks, thoughtful instructions, lovely little decorations and hospitable touches everywhere. The farm and mountain were perfect and walkable for exploring, and great towns and restaurants nearby. I’ll be back!

Wonderful little gem in the heart of Old Town Winchester! We would definitely stay on our next visit to Winchester.

Whether on the site or reiterated Ms Bonnie was so responsive and ‘friendly.’ With the weather turn, she even allowed/offered an earlier check-in as we traveled through the snow squall/winter advisory. As we’ve lived in Europe, her home sooo reminded us of French Country and loved the decor inside and out! Was a nice relaxing getaway and watching the snow. As well as coming back from our snow tubing adventure. The added welcome touch of fresh warm muffins and bottled water was much appreciated and yummy! Great site recommendations for local places but with the winter snow, we bought items from Aldi. We used the small oven for baked pizza and used the electric hot plate to make omelet breakfast. Definitely will come back and hope to stay during the the warmer months for the hikes and River tubing!
