Family-friendly vacation rentals in Clackmannanshire

I booked this property for my husband and his 3 friends for his 40th birthday. Wallace was extremely communicative at all times, and was very welcoming to the group on arrival. One of the guests arrived early and while Wallace explained the place would not be ready till check in, the guest was able to fish on the loch till later in the day, and thoroughly enjoyed himself! The property was as described, perfectly clean and the location was exactly what I was looking for when I booked. It was easy to find, and the walking guides and maps of the local area were very helpful too. Would book again!

Excellent accommodation and location, a real memorable trip. The restaurant is pretty much 'on-site' and was excellent. One negative - the hob. Seems like a small thing but when you are cooking for 8 and struggling to hold water at the boil it is frustrating. It was so weak. Since it is accommodation for 8, it really ought to be a more powerful hob. Frying bacon took *ages* ! Otherwise amazing, and highly recommended *****

We had an amazing week at Nether Glenny! The location is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views and endless opportunities for walking right from the cottage. Alison was extremely accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub after a day of exploring the beautiful local area. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with fantastic hospitality, this is the place to be. Highly recommended—we can’t wait to return!

We absolutely loved staying at Julie and Ians place. The scones and prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch and a fab way to start of our weekend! The location was just stunning and we enjoyed having a wee dip in the river at the end of the garden! Would highly recommend this place as it was perfect for making a nice meal and enjoying each others company. Thanks so much for hosting us!

We had an absolutely lovely time at Ali's place. Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Hot tub and garnden really make the place with stunning views. Easy access to Edinburgh by train and car and also the Fife coastal path. We loved it! would be very happy to return again one day. Ali was the perfect host.

Fantastic house, amazing views, lots of space and lovely to be on a farm. Great walk up largo law and lots to do to close by, only a short car journey to get to each location.

From initial contact, through arrival, stay and departure, everything was ideal. Libby's warm welcome, the cleanliness, comfort, facilities and general atmosphere were all quiteoutstanding.

Absolutely superb. A family Christmas enjoyed by all, including Finn the Whippet. Maggie could not have been more helpful, pleasant and supportive. The property includes a delightful garden, ample parking, lovely views (dawn can be special), local walks and shopping and easy access to Dunfermline (10 mins), Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh. In this difficult financial time, we enjoyed first class value for our money. Thank you Maggie.

Johnny was a great host! Helpful and responsive whenever we had questions and came to greet us/show us around the first evening. There were plenty of clean linens for bathing and kitchen use, the kitchen was well stocked to make whatever meals you might desire. Plenty of space for our party of 8, and beautiful views of the surrounding hills and countryside. We really enjoyed our stay!

Georgie was a wonderful host, and very kind and responsive when we got lost trying to find the space. It was cozy, and her garden was lovely. It got a little chilly outside the room since the only heat was a portable radiator, but other than that, it was a great getaway for our time in Scotland. Thanks Georgie for your hospitality!

We had a lovely comfortable stay at Sophie's. Her place was easy to find. All the rooms were well decorated and comfortable for a short stay. The kids room with the bunk beds was a delight. The kitchen had all the necessary items. Overall perfect cosy place for a small family.

The Ashtree Cottage was a special place for my family to stay for a week. It felt like we took a step back in time but with the luxury's of today. Maggie was a gracious host that was always available for any questions we had, recommendations of places to go, and very accommodating. The cottage is in a small town but central to so many places like St Andrews, Edinburgh, Perth, and more. If we ever come back to Scotland we will be staying here again.

An absolutely charming place! We stayed one night and were smitten from as soon as we checked in. The loveliest little touches in the interior, from the record player to the board games and books, and oh, what a beautiful garden and outdoor experience to behold! The apartment is really bright and spacious and tastefully decorated. The living area and kitchen are perfect. The apartment has everything you need including a washing machine and dryer. Audrey explained everything very clearly to us when we arrived to drop off our luggage (the owners facilitated an early drop off before 4pm). In terms of improvements, the water boiler is quite noisy so if someone used the bathroom late, it could wake other guests. We would have appreciated shampoo in the bathroom - some of our party flew with hand luggage only with a small liquids allowance. We enjoyed our stay and it was convenient for the EICC, a 10-15 minute walk. The welcome breakfast pack was a nice touch. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, including Napoli-themed Pizzeria 1926 with delicious pizzas!

A great getaway with loads to do close by for whatever mood you're in - great towns and cities like Calendar and Stirling less than half an hour away, equally beautiful countryside and multiple waterfalls, lochs and walks to choose from on the doorstep. Our toddler loved the on site swimming pool and the grown ups enjoyed the peaceful views from the hot tub too! Rosie was so friendly and accommodating.

Great holiday. The lodge is fabulous - clean and very well presented.

This was our first visit to Cameron House and we were not disappointed, the lodge was perfect for us and the resort had plenty of activities on offer (if you wanted to do them). We visited in August and there were various activities available for different age ranges. We had teenagers so they were interested in clay shooting, bubble football, private cinema, golf and although there was a cost for these it was not unreasonable. Plus there was the indoor pool, gym and range of fitness classes. Plus of course there is the great outdoors with fantastic scenery and Loch Lomond itself. The host was really helpful and answered all my questions really well. I would have no hesitation going back.

A location with an interesting history; just a few minutes walk (beside the river) from Dunblane’s centre but tranquil, comfortable and secluded. Perfect to visit the surrounding area but also an easy train journey to Stirling and Edinburgh for the sights.

Clean, well looked after and easy to find

Dainne’s place was one of my best experiences in the Scotland UK. It was my first time staying in a caravan home. Very nice and quiet place. I stayed for one night but wish to stay longer next time. Good price, clean and organized. The host was very responsive. Thank you!
