Delightful coastal retreat in Seahouses

SarahRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This four bedroomed house was in a brilliant location and very close to the beaches, pubs and town centre. The house was over three floors which helped with spacing out the two families. There was a double bedroom on the lower floor, a double with en-suite on the first floor and then a further two king bedrooms on the second floor. There is only one parking space but we found alternative parking for the second car on the cobbled street outside. The house has plenty of space and well equipped with crockery and utensils. The bedding and towels were all clean. The WiFi wasn’t great especially with no phone signal. All in all though a Lovely home in a great location.

The Bagie Shed

BryonyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a fabulous few days at The Baggie Shed. The accommodation was beautifully decorated; an eclectic mix of lamps, pictures and other bits and pieces to admire in every room. We were also lucky enough with the weather to see gorgeous sunrises over Holy Island each morning. Although located in a quiet setting we found plenty of things to do each day to keep everyone entertained. Heatherslaw Light Railway, Lavendar Tea Rooms, Berwick garden centre, the village green and play area in East Ord and a day at Bamburgh Castle. Would highly recommend a stay at The Baggie Shed. Thank you Sharron and Keith.

Lovely coastal 3 bedroom Scandinavian Lodge

NoelRating, 5 stars3 months ago
The lodge is well set behind Eastfield Hall amongst a collection of other lodges. There was ample space between us all and everything was clearly well looked after. It's a deeply quiet and peaceful spot, lovely to return to after a day out. There are gorgeous views from the drive down to the sea with Warkworth Castle in the distance. The living space is comfortable and well equipped. Bedroom and bathroom are also comfortable . We found the lights a little dim for reading, but made it work well enough. The folder with info and instructions was useful. I wonder if a guest book with recommendations from other visitors would also help. Great to be able to bring our dogs. I did have to keep an eye on them wandering into the neighbour's garden as the fence slats are wide enough apart for for curious dogs to slip through. We loved the evening skies, and watching the swifts circle above. It's a great place to stay and we hope to be back as it's a gorgeous area with lots to enjoy.

Kirkandrews House. Sleeps 13 Pets allowed

RichardRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What a beautiful place to stay. The house is very spacious and well equipped with an excellent kitchen and lots of space to relax. The games room is great for children and there are two lounges with TVs so no arguing about what to watch. The views are beautiful and the location very peaceful. We stayed a few weeks before Christmas and the house had two Christmas trees and lots of festive decorations which made it feel like home. The open fire and wood burner are ideal for cosy evenings and there was plenty of wood, although the central heating is very effective and we were all warm enough. The bedrooms are good sizes and the bathrooms offer a mixture of baths and showers. Unfortunately there was a power outage in the local area on the second day of our stay but there was enough hot water for all to have showers and we were out all day and evening at a wedding and Richard organised a generator to be delivered in case the power was still out on our return. Overall highly recommended :)

Ebenezer House

PaulRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
It was an absolute joy to stay at Ebenezer House. Three of us were there for a gathering to play board games and to enjoy good company. The house is beautiful and perfectly as described - very tastefully decorated and has a luxurious feel to the place. Everything was perfect for us - even when there was a slight issue with the heating/hot water, Alex was over within 10 minutes to see to the boiler and we were sorted. Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking to stay in a nice, quiet seaside town. The Queen's Head three doors down was a friendly welcoming pub and while we did table-dine, the Indian restaurant, Shaj, a few minutes the other way was friendly and tasty for a take-away. A great stay all round and a great find. Would 100% return. Thanks Alex & Olivia!

Tumbler Rocks Retreat - 150m from beach & hot tub.

AnneRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Tumbler Rocks was just as described. Just a short stroll across the dunes to the beach and an easy walk into Seahouses town. The house was very well equipped with everything you would need for an enjoyable stay. We stayed as a family of eight with two dogs and found it had ample space for all of us. Dogs enjoyed their early morning walks along the sandy beach and with the outside hose, paws were easily washed down! Plenty of eating places in the town and as a Coeliac found an excellent chip shop, Italian restaurant and Indian restaurant who could all provide gluten free choices for both sitting in and take away. Anthea was very approachable and helpful in answering any questions we had prior to and during our visit. Thank you for the use of your house for our family break.
