Thakur's cottage is perched in the breathtaking Nilgiris close to the Kateri dam, away from the hustle and bustle of the main city, with extremely scenic views! The place honestly, is even better than the pictures with the deck as a highlight for sunrise viewings, meditation and yoga. The ability to light up a bonfire and enjoy a calm, moonlit night is another joy of this place. And the icing on the cake were the wonderful caretakers who catered to our meals. The aloo parathas and semiyaan were sumptuous. The host, Rawal is also very responsive and supported throughout the trip. As an Airbnb regular, this place is one of the best we've been to so far and highly recommend!

Housekeeping was prompt and maintained high standards of cleanliness throughout our stay. My stay in Ooty was nothing short of magical. From the scenic beauty to the excellent hospitality, everything exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway in the hills. It was a nice place, rooms are clean. Especially the caretakers are really nice and gentle. Zubair responds very well during the stay. Expected few more kitchenware.

We had a fantastic stay at this farmstay with our cat and dog. The property is scenic and spacious, with a beautifully maintained garden and lush greenery. We especially loved spending time on the verandah with the BBQ, soaking in the peaceful surroundings. The on-site dogs were incredibly friendly and got along well with our pets. A personal highlight for me was the giant windmill right next door—it added a unique charm to the place, especially when paired with the breathtaking, star-filled night sky as seen from the terrace above. Inside, the stay was just as comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked. One thing to note: the TV isn't a smart TV, so if you plan on streaming Netflix or similar, it's worth bringing a laptop with an HDMI cable. Overall, a perfect escape for nature lovers, pet owners, and anyone looking for a relaxing retreat!
