Vacation rentals in Chickahominy River

It's a beautiful house in a nice neighborhood—peaceful and quiet. We used it as a family getaway for Thanksgiving, and it was perfect. The kitchen was big and well-equipped for the feast. It's as out of the way as you can get without being disconnected.

We have stayed at Evening Breeze Cottage several times over the last three years. Upon arrival, there was soft Christmas music playing, and the house was cozy and warm. It is always clean and fresh and Rhoda is easy to reach and always available for assistance. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else while visiting our relatives.

Very comfortable and loved the decor. Having two primary suites was super helpful for married adult children. The space was organized and well maintained. The host was responsive to questions and proactive about checking in with us. The house was a good place to celebrate a college graduation since it wasn’t too far away. Definitely need a car to get around the area as it isn’t a walkable neighborhood with amenities. Overall very well done.

The house was great! It had everything we needed to enjoy the long weekend. I would suggest packing water shoes for the little ones. We did not and left with a couple cuts but nothing serious.

This beautiful house on Lake Anna was the perfect place to have our retreat. The beautiful water, gigantic hot tub, outstanding game room, and other amenities were exactly what we were looking for! We definitely feel like we got our money's worth with the high level of care put into every inch of the place. Whether it was the massive amount of coffee pods, the extremely well stocked kitchen, or so many towels that we didn't have to worry about doing laundry, it felt like we were at an upscale resort! We look forward to hosting more retreats here!

Beautiful apartment! Very comfortable, the back yard was an extra bonus! Walkable peaceful neighborhood close to a lot of coffee shops, restaurants and shopping.

Had a wonderful stay within walking distance to Lake Anna. The house was amazing and perfectly suited for our guests. The home was clean and inviting from the moment we arrived. We would love to come again and stay for a future trip. Highly recommend.

This house has great outdoor amenities and a homey indoor feel! Great deck, dock fire pit area, as well as a patio. Check in process was smooth. House is on gravel road, if you aren’t sure if you’re in the right place, keep driving and follow the host’s instructions, and you’ll find it! We did experience issues with the water pressure which meant we couldn’t have two showers going at one time - host attributed this to water filtration system needing cleaned out, offered to tell us how to turn it off. We opted to leave the system on and stagger showers due to mineral load in the water. Host’s communication was very responsive when we had questions before and during the trip.
