Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Cherokee County

Reece’s home was the perfect place to relax after a long day of horse showing. We loved the spacious kitchen with tons of plates and cutlery. The living room was perfectly set up to enjoy tv and movies. If the weather was warmer, we would have loved to enjoy the fire pit and string lights out back. The house was warm and comfortable with large bedrooms and pristine bathrooms. We had room to spread out and especially loved the shower in the main bedroom en-suite. We cannot wait to stay here again!

This was the perfect place for our family to gather. The privacy, with plenty of room to spread out and convenient parking in the carport made our visit more enjoyable.

Great spot! We didn’t get to utilize the back yes fire pit or the screened porch since we were horse showing all day every day but they looked ideal! Great views and felt private even with neighbors to the side. Lots of room for vehicles and great use of space inside the house.

Donald’s home on is gorgeous, from the amazing views off the front porch to the ample deck and fire pit in the back patio to the big open kitchen, this place is 5 stars all the way! Super close to Main St which has plenty good food options and little shops, everything you need is a 5 min drive away. Highly recommend Donald’s home if you’re ever in Forest City/Ruthfordton. Definitely coming back! Thanks Donald!

The location was perfect for our outdoor activities. Private but close enough to everything. The wildlife and the picturesque setting was icing on the cake. I would highly recommend this beautiful place.

Overall, we had a lovely 4th of July vacation at Jeff's place. The local private lake beach access was a highlight (vs. Lake Lure public beach which was super crowded). There were maybe a dozen people there when we visited, and we enjoyed jumping off the dock & floating. The home itself was very comfortable, the AC was nice and cold and very welcome! Beds were comfortable, shower heads were nice, kitchen was very well stocked. The views were top notch, and we were treated to a couple of colorful sunsets over the mountains! A couple of nitpicks - the provided area map is not very good, missing a basic cookie sheet, nearly all door handles were exasperating / super annoying, the smaller couch seemed somewhat broken in the center, one of the bathrooms was leaking into the garage (we think?) and the host was pretty slow to respond to a couple of simple questions and never responded to my last one. Oh, and the ping pong table is missing a foot and is pretty unstable, use with caution!

Tyler was very responsive. We enjoyed this place very much. Our daughter and grandkids live in York so this was a perfect little getaway for them and for us. We very much enjoyed sitting by the fire outside on Saturday while the kids played in the yard, and on the dock. We were greeted by deer a few times which was amazing. Thank you Tyler we hope to be back.

We fell in love with the pictures, and then we fell in love with the place. Chris made us feel so welcome and at home. Beautiful home and surroundings, everything we needed, wonderful touches throughout the home. Really loved our stay. Thank you so much for everything, Chris ❤️❤️

I have dogs I love them ,just not when im staying out of town , house keeping could have been so much better with regards to the beautiful floors and great history of the home , it’s was spectacular.

Hague and Merry-Beth were very accommodating with my late booking. I needed a quiet overnight place very close to TEH. Their apartment was perfect. It was a cold dark rainy night when I got there, but the apartment was warm, quiet and peaceful. The coffee maker was programmable, so my morning cup was ready before I got out of bed. I was back at TEH at 7:45 this morning. It was the perfect rest stop.

What a lovely space! Beautifully designed. Friendly host. Comfy bed, amazing view, and sooooo quiet and peaceful. My nervous system felt totally reset after a couple days here. My kiddo loved the castle and the cats, dogs, chickens and horses. Wi-Fi was a bit spotty, but I had a hotspot with me for work. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Chris and Valerie’s place was a perfect stay with special attention to the Christmas holiday! Loved all the extra touches and location was great for a peaceful place to rest.

A heavenly, peaceful, perfect place to stay. My mom and I and our dog enjoyed it. Incredible beds for rest. Amazing shower. Beautifully decorated. Places for the dog to run. Peaceful and tranquil surroundings. A darling slice of NC. We will be back! I highly recommend this place!

This was an end of the summer getaway for my wife and I. We thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and activities of the are. We kayaked, did several hikes, found secluded areas that we could swim and picnic. Visited chimney rock. Had some nice meals at local places and took advantage of making ourselves some meals in the well-stocked kitchen. The cabin is very cute, spacious enough for a family of 4 or more, well decorated with the owner's own artwork of local scenery. We actually had fun and played a lot of ping pong. Nice table. We hope we can swing another trip to view the fall colors

Great place ,friendly host! Was able to work with a group of hurricane clean up crew on a short notice and changing requests multiple times!

We had a wonderful stay for thanksgiving week. Everything was clean and as described in the listing. We received clear instructions and check in was seamless. The cabin has beautiful open windows and we really enjoyed sitting by the fire pit at night. Unfortunately, the area is still being rebuilt after the hurricane but it worked out for us since we wanted to relax. It’s in close proximity to Ingles grocery (Starbucks inside), restaurants and great hiking. Overall a great stay!

We had a great time at Tena’s place. The house was full of all equipments to spend an amazing time with your family near the lake in NC. I highly recommend this place! Me and my family had an excellent time during the Thanksgiving thanks to Tena’s place… We would definitely come back!!!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. A secluded cabin in the wooded mountains is what we were looking for, and we were not disappointed.

We were looking for a quick weekend getaway over the holiday weekend that was private, clean, and pet friendly and the Woodsy Cabin was perfect. This was our first trip to Lake Lure and the views from the cabin were beautiful. The host was very responsive and accommodating to our questions and requests. He did warn us about the steep driveway but fortunately we have 4WD and didn't have any problems navigating to the cabin at the top of the mountain. We truly enjoyed our stay!

I love that they re-did this cabin so well. It is stylish but homey. And there is basically anything you can think of that you might need. Very cute and very close to downtown. We would definitely stay again!
