We enjoyed our stay at the house. It was located exactly I like you get connected with nature. Stephen was always responsive and communicative definitely will recommend to stay at the Stephens house for people who love nature.

Our family had a wonderful stay! Plenty of beds, and beautiful peaceful property. A short walk to the river each morning directly behind the house - nice sturdy swings hanging from the trees - a unique and welcoming coffee bar with lots of options. They’ve thought of everything- and our little Doxie was welcome too - very dog friendly!! The SparrowHawk floats were just right down the road and they came to pick us up for our float trip. Tahlequah was very close and we spent one afternoon in town visiting the local coffee shop, book store, and art gallery. Highly recommend!!

We loved our weekend escape! Every last detail taken care of here. There was an issue that Jen went above & beyond to fix and make sure we were taken care of 🩵🩵🩵 The location was like a little oasis. 🏝️ I enjoyed the ocean decor touches everywhere, & you can see the riverfront view sparkling in the sunlight all the way from the porch. My favorite part of the house is the master bathroom.. felt like being at a spa resort! So relaxing & a lovely time of healing & peace 💚

We had a fantastic stay at this lake house Airbnb for a wedding weekend! The unit was immaculate, with just the right blend of cozy comfort and understated luxury—a perfect lake house vibe. Despite arriving on a stormy night with the power briefly out, the hosts were incredibly quick to respond, arriving within 10 minutes to resolve everything. Their professionalism was impressive, making us feel well taken care of from the start. The hot tub was a huge bonus—clean, relaxing, and the perfect way to unwind at the end of each day. Highly recommend this spot for a peaceful, hassle-free getaway—don’t hesitate to book!

This place was perfect for a peaceful getaway! The view from the cabin of the river was amazing. It was easy to find & had everything we needed for our stay. Mitch was great to work with on our reservation.

Our three nights’ stay was just what we needed! The cabin was so cozy and I loved the decor…. rich with history. So many neat things to look at in the cabin! The hot tub was perfect! We spent a lot of time sitting by the fire pit watching the river, the fish jumping and the many birds! We saw several eagles! We will definitely be back!

We were in town for a Junior Bassmaster tournament and this house was less than 10 min from the Chicken Creek boat ramp- could not have found a better place to stay! Loved sitting out on the back deck enjoying the sunshine and lake view. Lori was very responsive with questions we had during our stay. We will definitely be staying here again if we find ourselves in Cookson again!

If you are reading the reviews and considering a stay at Mitch’s A-Frame on the river just go ahead and book it now! Repeat customer here and worth every penny. The cabin is bright and beautiful, you can shower and go to bed looking at the stars! The clean cozy 2 person hot tub had powerful jets and was perfect to chill in and watch the river otters play. A short walk thru the woods and you can climb down the cliff on a ladder to reach a great swimming and fishing spot. I think my favorite part of this stay was sitting on the deck with a fire, watching the water flow by in the moonlight. Just an amazing location and view. Thanks for having us again and we will be back soon!
