Family-friendly vacation rentals in Châteaubernard

Quiet location, in the countryside. Self check-in and self check-out. Clean and pleasant accommodation in a good location. We would have appreciated extra bath towels, one per person is fair, especially for two nights.

Louise and Mickael made us feel very welcome, plus a bottle of white wine and cool beers! Very nice! We had a pleasant week of vacation at Moulin Chaillou. We were able to enjoy the pool, which the kids loved (4 years and 1 year). All shops are nearby, the beach is 45 minutes away, as well as the aquarium, etc. If you need anything, do not hesitate, Louise and Mickael are there to meet your needs.

We had a great weekend with friends at Roz's. The house is very beautiful, clean, spacious. Everything is provided (bed linen, towels, etc.). Small touches were waiting for us, it's a plus that we really appreciated. The many activities available on site occupied us well, we did not leave the weekend house: pool, jacuzzi, billiards, ping pong, darts, etc. Small dedication to Bob who welcomed us very warmly!

We had a pleasant night in the trailer, the setting is peaceful and the host was very welcoming. Breakfast is very full. We do not regret our choice and would highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful stay. Our hosts Louise and Michael were a delight and we hope to see them again as friends. So helpful and responsive. The site is quiet and secluded but a few minutes walk to town and restaurants. It contains everything one needs and excellent wifi and multi - channel TV for UK as well as French television and netflix Amazon etc. All in all highly recommended.!

Beautiful week with family at the Manoir Souhait. The cottage absolutely matches the photos and description. Very nice pool and hot tub. Sunbed in numbers and spotless. Everything is neat, you feel very comfortable. The kids enjoyed foosball and ping pong. The village is very calm and pretty. Shops are 10 minutes away by car. The area is beautiful under the July sun. Family geocatching trails (Terra Aventura) in Cognac, Aulnay, La Touche de Périgny, St Jean d 'Angely - discovering old stones, beautiful Romanesque churches and rivers. Visit of wineries and vineyards (we particularly recommend the house Dhiersat in Rouillac). We recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a peaceful vacation, family rest. Highly recommended!

We had a great time with friends and kids. The accommodation is well equipped, quiet, perfect for 2 families. The pool with sauna and jacuzzi is the perfect place for adults and children. The presence of the playground made the children happy. We thank Daphne and Blaise for their welcome. We warmly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet week.

We had a pleasant stay in this large house! We were able to enjoy the pool and beautiful garden. We were 11 so 5 children, the house is ideal for families, full of nice little corners to read, play, relax... Carol has thought of everything! We lacked nothing. A really lovely comfortable gite. Amazing outdoor space including a safe pool with loads to entertain the kids. And lots nearby to do for young and old. We really enjoyed it with our two young ones.

Very pleasant family stay in this pretty house where we were greeted by Christelle in person, very available and attentive at all times. The cozy spirit of the living rooms, bedrooms and the garden make us feel right at home. The absolute calm of the hamlet and good bedding are finally ideal to ensure a perfectly relaxing stay! We are just back from the most relaxing two week holiday at Petit Chevallon. We were impressed before we'd even arrived due to William's exceptional communication, detailed travel instructions and prompt responses. The house itself is fabulous; the pictures do not do it justice. We travelled as two families with young children and it was perfect for us - so much space both inside and out. The children were spoilt with three large gardens and the lovely pool area while the adults enjoyed relaxing evenings sat under the vines of the pergola. The house is situated in a very rural area, perfect for bike rides to the local villages for croissants. There are some wonderful beaches to explore within an hours drive and William provided us with so many great recommendations - too many to squeeze into a two week holiday. What really made the holiday is that you feel like you are a guest at someone's home rather than an annonomous air b&b. Thank you William, we can't wait to return!

We had a great time in this residence which is located in the middle of vineyards and sunflowers. The setting is relaxing and quiet. The listing matches the photos. The hosts are attentive and super kind. Blue mega thumb for the pool that occupied the kids and adults well! Visit and tasting of a vineyard right next door, the oak estate, which make excellent pineau and cognac! Thank you for your welcome!

We really enjoyed our stay at Elodie`s gite. It is in a very peaceful area in a small village surrounded by vineyards so if you like peace and quite it is the right place (with a few jets flying over a few times:). The swimming pool is great even though we didn`t use it as much as we had hoped because the weather (and water) was ok for swimming but not warm enough for our 7y old son. A well-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed evenings on the terrace. Elodie was also kind to let us charge our electric car. The cottage is about 8-10 drive to Cognac and we made lots of trips to places about 30 min - 2 hrs drive away (Angouleme, Saintes, the beaches near Royan, Bordeaux...) I will only mention two downsides: - the stairs and the floor upstairs are very squaky so if you have kids that wake up easily this might not be for you:) - the double beds are not very comfortable for two "normal bodied" people. But all in all it is a nice place worth the money.

We had a really wonderful stay here. The Cottage had everything we needed and Mandie and Badger were super hosts. The location is perfect, far enough out of town to really experience peace and tranquility and close enough to everything that you may want to explore. The little touches offered such as fresh bread delivered to your door each morning and everything for your first evening meal on arrival were very welcome. We would love to return!

We loved staying here. The property is a ten minute drive from Saintes and all that is has to offer. We had a day at La Rochelle, a day at the beach in Royan and a lazy day or two in the beautiful garden. We would really love to come and stay here again!
