Sunset Retreat is a perfect place for family and friends to visit with plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces available for quiet time or group activities. We have, a playground area, cornhole boards, a firepit, kayak's, and a 2-person wide bottom canoe for your enjoyment. The Tiny Red Barn is a labor of love built by us for you on the Diascund Reservoir with water views, wooded trails and sunsets. We feel like we're on vacation every day of the year and look forward to sharing our 26 acres with you. Heavily wooded land with rolling trails, birds, deer, squirrels, turtles, chickens, mini donkeys and bees. Rubens place was perfect for our family who had come from 5 states for our son’s wedding 2 miles from the house. Plenty of room to spread out, even more beds than advertised, all bathrooms are spacious—so much better than the pictures. Ruben was very open and responsive and stopped by. Our granddaughter loved the trampoline and the swing set!

Cute, quaint AirBnB that had everything we possibly needed for our short weekend stay. it was nice to have some seclusion for ourselves and our dogs. It is next to a main road so you can hear cars driving during the day, but this was not a problem at night. Loved the direct access to the bike path!

Anna was an amazing host – so responsive, kind, and friendly throughout our stay. We absolutely loved staying at her place. It’s a beautiful historic home with a breathtaking view that made our experience even more special. We were a group of seven, and the house accommodated all of us comfortably. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, and everyone in the area was warm and welcoming. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would definitely come back again!

James was a very responsive and friendly host! The guest house was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were all comfortable as well. If you are going with a lot of guests, I would suggest that those who go to bed earlier or are light sleepers stay upstairs. From the bottom level, you can hear the walking going on upstairs. Other than that, it was perfect! Thank yo uso much, James!

Terry was amazing! She stayed in contact with me from booking until departure and was responsive, helpful, and genuinely eager to host. She made sure there will little details that made the stay a homey getaway including fresh cut fruit and breakfast items ready for us to eat, popcorn for a movie night, and extra toiletries for the bathroom if necessary. Overall she was delightful to talk to and her home was very welcoming. Her pups were sweet and gentile creatures that added to the overall weekend when we got to meet them. I would absolutely recommend this stay for anyone wanting a cozy, quiet getaway in this part of Virginia, and I hope to be back some day too! Thanks so much for everything, Terry!
