Hotel vacation rentals in Chakrata

I have been to a lot of Airbnbs & this was easily one of the most unusual ones. Reading the reviews I got to know there is some history associated with the place. Apparently,someone from a royal Nepal family relocated here way back in 1931 & spent the rest of his years at this place until his death in 1993. Our room didn't capture much of this history though,except for a booklet written in 1942. However,the dining room was full of stuff from the 20th century. We found a well maintained visitor book there. The place has been having visitors since over 60 years! Located in a village in Katapathar & about 400 m from Yamuna river,the property is an interesting relic of the past. It's great for someone looking to spend time away from the city. Though both of us felt that TV/free wi-fi can be provided. The caretakers were great & the food was fabulous. We had a good time at the place.

Anand and the whole Team are just loveable. The Food was perfect for us, the prices absolutely reasonable. Existing in the mountains with all the Birds and the natural pools is what we searched. Anand is such a promoting Yoga Teacher who got good advises and Recomandations for almost everything. Hopefully we will see eachother again one time

I absolutely loved the stay at Rishikesh Valley. A beautiful lush garden, close to an amazing waterfall, delicious food, attentive staff, great yoga classes and meditation. Long story short; everything I needed after an intense yoga teacher training. If you are visiting Rishikesh and want to be away from all the hustle and bustle and still be close at the same time; this little paradise is the place to be.

Firstly, Dev went above and beyond with service and was an excellent host. We felt very taken care of. This was great place, especially because I like it to be more rustic and earthy. It was away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but because it is close to the waterfall there are many tourists and motorbikes making their way past the hotel. A really nice swimming area that is somewhat private. Nice zen vibes on the property.

Easily Accessible by car and bike both. Situated in a very peaceful surrounding with a wonderful view from the room. Checkin was really smooth and the housekeeping and owner is very friendly and helpful. Chef offers daily new special menu and the food is tasty plus you can get food ordered from the menu as well. It's easy on the pockets. Room is exactly the same as posted on the portal and the cleanliness is top notch. Directions to reach the place is exactly mentioned and can be followed very easily. Wifi is available with good strength plus the cellular connectivity is good. Housekeeping even helped us with moving our luggage to cab as it's a bit of climb. Running hot water and electricity is never a challenge. A perfect 5/5 for this place and looking forward for future visits.

Our stay at Dopaar by the Brook was wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene setting and warm hospitality. The location is a perfect blend of tranquility and natural beauty, ideal for families, friends, or solo travelers escaping city life. The room was clean and spacious, with wooden ceilings and walls adding charm. The cozy atmosphere, beautiful dining spaces, and delicious food made our stay delightful. The brook added a soothing soundtrack, and the outdoor seating areas were perfect for relaxing. Special thanks to our host Nikhil, who was incredibly responsive. He promptly arranged an affordable vehicle for us from Dehradun to Chakrata. Kudos to Niresh for picking us up, showing us around, and sharing fascinating stories about the places we visited. I highly recommend this hidden gem for a peaceful and safe retreat. A request to all tourists: Please be responsible and do not litter with plastic waste. Respect nature and the local community.

It was a good experience staying at The Hosteller. The staff was responsive and took good care of me. The food at the on-site cafe was also good, with plenty of options. While I stayed in a private room, I would say it’s an ideal place to stay if you’re coming with a group, like college friends.

It's an amazing place, very well done interiors with a private garden and beautiful view of the mountains from the room and garden. The place has a well maintained huge garden with colourful flowers. our pet Rudra had a great time playing around. The food was good. Pankaj was a communicative host, who took care of all our needs and made sure we had a pleasant stay. The surroundings are beautiful to take a walk into the forest and enjoy the nature. I recommend the place.

Great location, away from the noise of the city. Strategically located for a quick trip to Dehradun city and midway to Mussoorie. The caretaker Gaurav was very helpful. The owners' pets which were in the property at the time of my stay were a delight. Would recommend this place to someone who wants to get away from this city, loves nature, wants to wake up to an amazing sunrise and sunset. In the evenings the room gets direct sunlight which is perfect for winters.
