Cabin vacation rentals in Chaitén

Wow! What an incredible location and hosts that did their best to make our stay magical. We felt very much like we were surrounded by the wilds of Patagonia, with breathtaking views and a grand sense of remoteness. We visited in the off-season, so the lodge was not open and the weather was mighty unpredictable, but we arrived to a fire already burning in the wood stove. Patagonia in the off-season has its own set of challenges, and the team at Yelcho helped us rebook cancelled ferries, and adapt to spotty internet in the area as the storms rolled through. It was always cozy and beautiful to come home to this place.

The cabin looks newly renovated, and is very clean and simple. Had everything we needed. We needed to use the wood heater, and had to contact Carlos for direction on where to find wood and an axe. Otherwise everything was great. Good location for PumalinSur park and a short drive to Chaiten. There is a mini mercado and a pizzeria just a minute’s walk away. There is some road noise that is much less at night. Earplugs worked well. We very much appreciated how clean and tidy the cabin was. Thanks

Good in terms of price/quality. Even though it was a pretty basic cabin, everything was spotless and in good condition to go by. The host was responsive on time and was very willing

I spent 8 days in the cabin and truly enjoyed it. The location is absolutely stunning: hidden away and protected from wind and weather in a small canyon but with a wide view of the sea. 10’ walk to the beach. All necessary amenities incl. hot water, gas stove, electrical heating. It’s beautiful if you like your solitude and enjoy long walks along the beach and through lush hills. Mini market about 3’ walk. Everything else >30’ walk. I came without vehicle of my own and was always lucky to either catch public transport (little, remember it’s a tiny village) or catch a ride with a neighbor. No phone signal with Entel. Hence: this is the perfect place to unwind. I would come again any day. If you’re looking for the rumble, restaurants etc, however I’d recommend you to look in the larger towns of the island (Dalcahue, Quemchi). They’re not as picturesque as Quicaví in my opinion though :P

Whoever likes nature is the perfect place. The whole wooden cabin, wood smell inside it, the water is heard at night, which is very relaxing. Very comfortable beds for a restful rest and when they arrived they were warm with the stove lit

Camila was very kind, answered every time something was asked, the place was very nice and they were very considerate as they waited for us with the combustion lit. The atmosphere is very nice, rustic, you notice concern.

We booked last minute/same day. Yuri was quick to reply. Cabin was very clean and well equiped. Breakfast was delicious. Would recommend!

It was just amazing The apartment was easy to find, has everything in it and even more than expected. The host was lovely and very communicative and helped in any request. The whole experience was lovely! Very recommend

The cabin has everything to spend a few comfortable days in the mountain range, it is about 10 minutes from Futaleufu and on the way there is a beautiful river to spend the afternoon. The shower worked perfectly and everything was very clean. Fabiana attended us and was very kind to her little boy, I would stay in the place again if we had to come back

Yohanna’s place was a lovely place to spend a night, we tried to extend but it was unfortunately booked. Very peaceful and a good base to relax, definitely recommend

Pablo is an amazing host, and the place is just outstanding. It is a remote spot that requires detailed planning to visit, and Pablo, Consuelo and Angel were super responsive and clear, which made everything super easy. We felt at home right away and we had the time of our lives there. I cannot recommend the place highly enough.

We enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and a good location for Pumalin Park.

The house is beautiful and in the most serene location. It is equipped with a well stocked kitchen and welcoming decor.
