Cedar Lake fishing vacation rentals

Our return trip to Robert’s place in Big Rapids! He and Sabrina have been so consistently attentive and kind as hosts- checking in often, solving issues in person rather than over the phone, and even going out of their way to search for a lost (now found!) earring after we left! Their hands-on approach and helpful personalities are what made planning this year’s trip such a breeze- choosing the location was an easy decision! Looking forward to next time already 🤗

The cabin exceeded our expectations! Amy's instructions were spot-on, and we didn’t need to contact her during our stay since everything was clearly explained in the property guidebook. Even though the cabin is remote, it was easy to find thanks to Amy's directions. The place is super cozy, very clean, and stocked with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. There were plenty of extra bathroom supplies, more than enough firewood, and the kitchen was well-equipped with spices, oil, and extra bottled water. We went as a family, and all of us were able to disconnect from our routines and reconnect with each other—no distractions at all. And believe me, getting two kids (ages 7 and 10) to go several days without their tablets isn’t easy! But here, they didn’t even ask for them. We absolutely loved our stay! We visited in winter, but now we’re excited to experience it in the summer too. Hopefully, we’ll get the chance to come back!

If you are looking for a luxury hotel feel, this is not the place. but if you are looking for a quiet, serene, and cozy getaway, this IS the spot! The lake is absolutely gorgeous. The community is clean, friendly, and quiet. The cabin has a quaint and cozy 70's vibe. We loved using the kayaks!! It was an easy trip across the lake. Due to the season, there were not a ton of things to do around. But we went hiking at beautiful Deerfield Nature Park and checked out some delicious eateries during our stay. It was the peaceful trip we were hoping for. During the summer months, our kids would love the little beach, paddle boats, and pier access to shallow water. So nice!

This is my 2nd stay and the house is immaculate and the host are very accommodating. Planning to make this a yearly stay.

We enjoyed our weekend stay. The place looks even better in person with beautiful views and a very peaceful atmosphere. They went above and beyond on the amenities. We enjoyed the kayaks, the views, the little antiques throughout the home. The home is not located near any major restaurants/franchises. We enjoyed some local restaurants and sightseeing. We highly recommend this home! Ideal for a peaceful or romantic getaway.

What a great place for getting away! The house is first-class with brand new upgrades inside. And the grounds are landscaped beyond belief. The home even comes with a private dock for gazing at the pair of swans as they glide by. It's a little mini-mansion of a gem.

This stay lives up to all of the other positive reviews! Pam and her husband were super responsive! The home was beautiful with great views of the lake. They’ve thought of literally everything even down to all of the light switches being labeled. The space was clean and beds comfortable! The lake is just far enough from nearby towns to be private and quiet, yet close enough that you can go to places like Grand Rapids or Rockford for a nice meal, or Greenville to shop at Marshall’s! At one point, we got locked out and Pam called us and got us back in the house immediately. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip and when we got back from dinner one night, Pam had left us a gift basket with all sorts of goodies to celebrate our special occasion! I cannot recommend this host and stay enough!!

Out in what I would consider the country, far away from the commotion of the bigger cities to relax, rewind and stargaze but close enough if you need to grab goods or want to do some exploring. No need to worry about bringing anything for the kitchen besides food to cook and maybe spices if you have certain ones you use, fully stocked with anything you could need to cook inside, bbq or even bake(from what I could tell) Heat works great although the bedroom near the bathroom was colder but not an issue since we didn’t need two bedrooms, heated fan in bathroom was a MAJOR plus. Boyfriend was able to catch some bass and pike off the pier, unfortunately didn’t get to take the little trolling boat out but I’m sure we would have had a blast catching more fish. Witnessed a Bald Eagle over the lake from the living room! Highlight of the stay was getting to experience the Auroras and SAR with our naked eyes!!

So sad we had to leave! We had a perfect weekend at Josh’s place. Super cute house, very clean and modern. We absolutely loved it. They thought of everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The linens were so fresh and clean. The deck was great, the lake water was warm and out past the dock provided a great place to swim, use the paddle boards or just float around. Josh was so nice to deal with as well and provided great information about the place. Thank you for a super fun weekend 💜.

Great house. We had plenty of space for 8 people. The house is very clean and comfortable. A bunch of the women in my family were in town for a baby shower and we decided to make a weekend of it. Everyone enjoyed staying and hanging out. The fire pit was nice and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The lake and backyard are beautiful.

A great little place right at the water's edge with many updates!

We had our annual Christmas weekend at this home and made many wonderful memories! Loved the games for the kiddos and the 2 coffee pots for the adults! It was a great set up for our group of 16 😊 and decorated nicely for Christmas 🎄

Lovely apartment on beautiful Crystal Lake, and Bonnie is wonderful! All our needs were more than met. The apartment was well supplied, very clean and modern and comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here!

The Toasted Toad was a perfect cabin to spend Christmas with family at. Coming from out of state it was a relief to spend the holidays with family in a quiet and peaceful cabin, with 8 inches of snow to boot! My first white Christmas couldn't have been better as Robert and Jill provide a clean and cozy atmosphere. The game room was a ton of fun along with streaming services, it kept Christmas very entertaining. The jacuzzi was warm and relaxing and the kitchen was perfect to cook Christmas breakfast and dinner. The house was spotless and both Robert and Jill reached out to make sure we were able to check in and out without a problem. My only wish is that I could see the property in the summer when the dam is fixed, as the Toasted Toad was such a wonderful winter get away I bet it can only be better in the summer! Thanks again for the wonderful memories!

Truly an unbelievable stay. Stephanie went so far above and beyond. The house was beautifully decorated for our stay right before Christmas, and she even left a gift for my husband's birthday that we were celebrating. The house itself is absolutely stunning. Everything is fully stocked, incredibly clean, and very comfortable. The master bedroom and bathroom are beautiful! I highly recommend this stay to anyone wanting to enjoy downtown Grand Rapids. You will not regret it!

Our family of five and 1 medium size dog stayed in Cecily's home for 4 nights over the Christmas holidays. It is a beautiful setting and quite serene with the lake view. Kitchen and bathrooms were pristine. I had a few questions during our stay and Cecily always answered in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this home for future guests.

This was our second time staying at Jennifer's place. We absolutely love it! It is perfect for our family of 4. A short walk down the driveway and you are at a park, beach, and fishing dock. The beach is great! The water is clear and no seaweed. My son and I caught small blue gills at the fishing dock, and my daughter loves the park. Also, be sure to check out The Depot (10 min walk) for ice cream and pizza! Well be back!
