Vacation rentals in Carnesville

I would like to start with Leonard himself, though we did not meet him in person he was very kind, helpful and punctual on answering any questions we had. Checking in was easy and flawless, any information we needed was provided. Leonard’s place was way above what we expected! The pictures on the site do not do it justice. Everything we needed was available in the apartment, it was extremely clean and well maintained. The views of the surrounding area were beautiful from the living and master bedrooms! The price was outstanding also, for what you get for your stay. I will definitely recommend Leonard’s place to anyone that is looking at staying in Helen, Ga.

This visit was great for me and my family. The host provided clear instructions and was very responsive. The host provided instructions on how to use certain things in the cabin and how to enter and exit properly, there was no confusion at all. I would most definitely visit again hopefully next year :) and would totally recommend this airbnb to anyone!

We had a fantastic weekend at this cabin, it was very nice, clean, quiet, cozy, it’s a great location, walkable to Main Street, restaurants, shopping and funs. Bonnie is very responsive, helpful and accommodated us with an early check in. We had fun in the snow!

The house is in a good central location to get btw Anderson and Clemson, with a GREAT lake view and walkable area. Very cozy, well maintained, and clean. Great for four people staying over a week and the amenities allowed us to make our own meals each day. The grocery store (and others) are just 5 min. drive away, and I-85 exit 2 min. away. Very much recommended 🧡

We enjoyed ourselves. The cottage is cute and is as described in the listing. Just a heads up for anyone else interested, the place is down a narrow dirt road that must've been washed out from the hurricane cuz it's a little rough. It's not hard to drive down, but there is a spot about 50 feet long where the center of the road is high, and if you have a small car, your undercarriage will definitely scrape. We came in a rented minivan tho and it made it down the road just fine. My only two issues was 1) They didn't clean the leaves off of the the front and back back porch. They were covered in a ton of leaves and they had def been there for a while since the trees didn't have any leaves on them. They didn't have a broom in the house, so I bought one and swept it for them. 2) There were 6 of us staying there for a week and they only had one towel for each of us. It would have been nice to have 2 per person since they have a washer machine, but no laundry detergent was provided.

We absolutely LOVED our stay in Helen. Melanie was such a great host, the airB&B was the cleanest we have ever stayed at & SO festive! She was so responsive with anything we needed, very accommodating and asked what we would like the thermostat to be set to, it was also so sweet to be greeted with water and mints upon arrival, you can truly tell she loves to host and it makes her happy doing it. Great location, close to town to do shopping, very walkable, so much space inside. The hot tub was amazing at night watching it snow and we loved walking back inside to enjoy the fireplace after. The bed was so comfortable and was some of the best nights sleep we had in a bit. We were visiting for a long weekend to celebrate our marriage as we didn’t get to take a honeymoon due to Covid and this was the perfect place to take a small getaway. We will definitely be back in the summer! Thanks again Melanie!

It was very clean and confident for my bridesmaids and I to stay the night before the wedding. The Christmas decor was a special touch for the Christmas wedding.

We had a lovely stay here, there are a lot of state parks close by and the town of Dahlonega is really nice. We really enjoyed Jethros coffee in the town. We ventured out to Apple orchards and other nearby towns such as Helen and Gainesville. We went to Dawsonville for a Christmas parade which our 3 year old loved. The home itself is very cozy and well kept. Sitting on the patio with a coffee is very relaxing. Only criticisms would be that the bed upstairs is really creaky and feels unsteady. There were neighborhood dogs barking and howling for long periods of time that does kind of disrupt the peace but that’s not the fault of the host at all. Overall 5 stars and would definitely recommend.

Our family loved this place. Super clean and comfortable. Walkable to downtown where all the excitement is. Maybe a 10min walk or 2min drive. Planning another trip to Helen and hopefully staying in the same place next time.

We enjoyed our stay in Helen. The property was easy to access and close to everything. The home was as depicted in the listing, and Dale checked to see if we needed anything. It was in a private, gated community and very quiet.
