Vacation rentals with a kayak in Carleton County

Always a pleasure to stay here. This was year 3 for our annual snowmobile/ice fishing trip.

We stayed at Marian’s place for two weeks as we were volunteering in the area. For a long stay we required a place like home that had all the amenities for large meals. She had everything! You can bake, bbq, blend. Was great to feel at home, and enough room for everyone. We had rain but enjoyed reading on the covered porch out front and nice big deck out back to sit in sun. Would recommend for a long stay.

Kelley was pleasure to deal with, and very responsive. The property was as described, very scenic and comfortable with everything we needed. We were there to celebrate a family birthday and there was plenty of room for 10 of us. Thank you for sharing your lovely property.

We had a great stay very close to the snowmobile trails and to town. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

Tina was a great host. Very responsive to questions. The cabin was beautiful and perfect for our group. We had a great time! I would definitely look to book with Tina again.

The property is absolutely gorgeous! James kept me informed, gave easy-to-find directions and was very friendly! The house is immaculate! We needed help with the generator at one point, so we called the woman on the contact list and she was there to help in less than 20 mins. Very peaceful and lovely surroundings! :)

Beautiful cottage , river, view, fire pit, bbq, hot tub etc… if you need some real Canadian experience this is the place !!

We had a wonderful week. Had everything we needed for the week. Jerry’s store was a little jewel 😂 even had glitter glue for my granddaughter to make a birthday present for her dad with pine cones she picked up in the yard. Swimming off the dock was great and time spent on the deck with all of the seating was wonderful. I especially found the call of the loons on the lake at night so serene. While I did miss my king bed the beds were very comfortable. Would definitely return to this place.

Deborah was very responsive to our needs. Shes the kind of person that you make friends with and ask for game night. The cabin has been one of our best vacations. So peaceful and beautiful. We will be going back. My husband is from Presque Isle and we came to visit his mom. It was 10 minutes from town and her apartment. Deborah had some great suggestions. Make sure you eat at Shannons on Academy street. Deborah told us about it and it didn’t disappoint We loved our stay!

Totally peaceful cabin in the deep woods! Loved the wood stoves for heat! Next time we will bring lots of food and stay the week!

The neighbors house is for sale, but the lady there when we stayed had a beautiful yard with all sorts of creatures. Bluebirds, squirrels, etc. The lake was close and it was a pretty quiet and peaceful place. I was having a bad personal time and want to come back when things are going better and I can appreciate it fully. Lots of lake toys and activities for all ages. Would recommend and want to return myself!

This is such a great place to stay! My family of five (mom, dad, 3 sons aged 14, 12, 8) were so happy and comfortable here. The lake was great to swim in when the weather was nice, and the DVD player/collection and card games kept us entertained when it rained. The AC unit was greatly appreciated on our first day, which was a scorcher. Catharine is so friendly and easy to communicate with. I would absolutely recommend staying here, and we hope to be back some day.

our second stay at this serene cottage and couldn't ask for a better staycation! Responsive and helpful host and easy to navigate instructions. Everything you could need for a peaceful and fun lake front property. perfect outdoor seating areas, deck, kayaks and SUP board, BBQ and so much more! Thank you Shannon for the perfect get away! We had intended on a weekend of ice fishing, but the weather and ice conditions did not cooperate. We found plenty to do in the very spacious home. We loved the comfortable furniture and giant cribbage board.

A peaceful retreat right on the lake. Beautiful surrounds and a comfortable cottage with all the amenities. Well appointed and cutely decorated.

The host was super responsive which is very appreciated.

Paradise on the Lake was just that….Paradise. From Kayaking to swimming, Paradise on the lake was exactly what our two families needed. A great place to unwind before back to school. The beds were comfortable and the cottage was very cozy.

I wanted a private lakefront Maine cottage for our vacation and that is exactly what I got. It’s like stepping into a movie set, one of those great lakeside cabins that have been in the family for years and years. I half expected to see Steve Carell to come around the corner. The house was spotlessly clean, the beds comfy with great linens and tons of pillows, and the shower was hot with great pressure. It’s decorated with family heirlooms and antiques and it just welcomes you like an old friend. There are a lot of good family memories in this place and we were happy that we got a chance to add our own. This place is a jewel. Thanks Ashley for being such a great host and sharing your family home with us. Cudos to Evin as well for being there if we needed anything! I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. My husband and I travel a lot and have stayed in many vacation rentals. This is our favorite.

Great place for our family to get together. Close to the water with everything we needed. Lots of games and puzzles for rainy days. We really enjoyed our stay.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay while attending my cousin's wedding in Oakfield. It felt very "homey" and just as described!

Beautiful private lake house, true freedom!! Dog off leash running free, daughter roasting marshmallows with the wife by the fire, and me fishing away!! Great place little hot at night only suggestion is 4 wheel drive SUV going up trail to cabin but we got it done with an 04 Camry. Joseph was a great host and very helpful with flash cards and phone calls to make sure we settled in okay. Would definitely recommend for anybody looking for a peaceful get away.

Jeremy was the best host ever!! This is a beautiful area to visit. I can’t even begin to describe the serenity and peacefulness at this beautiful cabin! The lake is crystal clear and the stars are so vibrant ! This is definite place to come back to. We were there in the fall and the colors were just beautiful!! The weather was perfect!! Next time we come back to Maine we will be staying longer! You won’t regret staying with Jeremy and his wife are truly great people!
