Had a really lovely stay, it was so quiet and peaceful. There was an issue with the shower drain but Donald responded immediately and had it fixed within a few hours. Really recommend this place and the owner was so accommodating and helpful. We hope to be back again

Eight of us stayed at Sally’s place and what an incredible time we had. The house is even more amazing than the photos and is in the perfect location to explore the Lakes and surrounding areas. Everything from booking to check in and check out was so professional and we definitely are coming back again hopefully for a longer stay.

We cannot fault this place. Very luxurious and very clean. We had a brilliant time here for my 40th. Elizabeth (the host) went above and beyond for us by driving almost 3hrs to bring us a cot for our baby girl. We were so grateful. Communication was excellent and any questions we had were answered promptly. The property, surrounding grounds and area are all brilliant! The hot tub was superb! We will definitely be back.

Margarets place is lovely and perfect for a winter get away. It was all decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. Local recommendations and lists of taxis etc in a handy book. If you are staying and want a taxi do remember to pre-book (we failed at this).

This was our second stay at Ocean View and I hope not our last. The place is peaceful and beautiful and the home is exactly that - a home. Really clean, well equipped, spacious, warm and well positioned to get lovely views of the sea. We love it here. Thank you for the opportunity to visit this idyllic spot again.

Had a lovely 2 night stay in the cottage. Lovely view of the sea from the kitchen. The cottage is small but didn't feel cramped at all and had all we needed. 10 minute walk to the beach which the dogs loved and had a lovely meal at the Manor Inn in the village.

What an amazing find. We wanted somewhere private yet close to villages and towns. We also take our two doggos and the back garden is really secure which really helps. The property was spotless and some really thoughtful touches. We saw 100’s of pheasants, red squirrels, red kites and deers while we sat in the garden. Also the night sky was amazing there was zero light pollution so spent one night staring gazing with a toy of the local whisky. 🥃. Spotted the Northern lights also which just added to the magical feel of the cottage. If this is on your shortlist then book. We couldn’t fault in any way.

A great cottage in a lovely location. Beautiful river views just around the corner. Everything as described. Utensils for cooking and eating, rooms clean and warm. Easy access to great locations in the Lake District. Host responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend and planning our next visit already.
