Vacation rentals in Cape Jervis

This is equally a review about Cheryl as well as her house. She is one of the kindest humans I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. This house is perfect for a Kangaroo island experience, faultless. But what I want to highlight is how my holiday was saved by Cheryl & she went above and beyond. We didn’t book a car on the ferry on time & I reached out to Cheryl who rang around & tried to get a hire car. They were unavailable, she kindly agreed to rent me her own car & met me at the ferry to make everything seamless. Be warned kangaroo island is a tricky place to drive! On our way to dinner down an isolated dark road a kangaroo jumps out into the road. We try to swerve and the car flips over ! Miraculously we are unscathed. The car however is on its side. I was in total shock, I called Cheryl who was only concerned with our safety. She rescued us took care of the car, dropped us home mad sure we were safe and arranged transport for the rest of the trip. I can’t say anymore ! Excepts thanks !

Thanks so much for our stay. The house was perfect for our family getaway. Very well equip and all amenities as described plus the little touches that mean a lot, like fresh farm eggs in the fridge on arrival. Our favourite part was the deck for sunsets and beautiful view overlooking the ocean. Highly recommend. Thanks again!

Great place nice and close to a beautiful beach! Maybe a bit far to walk for little kids but about a 2 min car ride if needed. Otherwise an easy less than 10 min walk. Had everything we needed and appreciated the flexible check in!

We had a wonderful stay at Harriet's place, it was so thoughtfully designed and decorated. The location is a little off the beaten track which made for a private stay and loads of bird life and natural surrounds. Highly recommend booking this place, someone said a hidden gem and I agree!

Blackpoint is a beautiful spot and Russell's place is the perfect place to stay. Fabulous beach shack to be able to enjoy the surrounds. Everything is thought of with the added touch of board games for the kids and kayaks for the big kids. We recommend staying at Russell's and look forward to staying again in the future.

Russel’s place was the perfect place to relax after a long drive! It’s located in a quiet, private area and parking was so easy and convenient (right in front of the entrance to the rear of the house). It had the facilities that I needed during my stay. I really appreciated how clean the house was, the instructions via video/QR code is genius and helpful to those that may need to see things visually, and this is personal preference, but the bed was so comfy! Russel was so responsive and I would love to stay longer next time!

Perfect location, less that 5 mins walk in either direction to Horseshoe Bay and The Strand cafes/groceries/pub. We stayed with a 4 year old - back yard is enclosed, and the house is lovely and comfortable. Separate toilet outside is handy (especially if staying with more than three ppl). Laundry with an easy-to-use washing machine. Kitchen had everything we need. Beds super comfortable. Whole stay was great! Melissa was a great host - we know the area well so didn’t need recommendations, but we had one minor issue when we blew a fuse, and Mel popped around herself to sort out. Super helpful and responsive. Would absolutely stay again.

Lovely Airbnb in a really good location. Large private garden to sit in on an evening. Comfy bed and plenty of hot water which is always a plus. Great TV to watch when you can’t be bothered to go out.
