Places to stay in Camp Wood

Truly is a piece of paradise!!! Great place! Has a lot of sitting places to gather and hang out. The pool and hot tub is perfect under the stars. Feels like you are all alone in the hills / woods but at the same time you have neighbors so not so isolated. Great location…close to leaky and garner state park and Frio river is down the street. We are definitely coming back. My only suggestion is a handicap ramp for the main cabin - for those with elderly parents like mine. Other than that it’s an awesome place and highly recommend. Thank you Sheri for sharing your piece of paradise with us!!!

Me and my friends had an amazing time staying here, it has an amazing common area to hang out and everything was so clean! Also not that far of a drive to garner state park!

The pictures do not describe the place, the beautiful cabin is on a valley secluded by hills, if you are looking for privacy and tranquility this is the place! The wrap around porch has the most beautiful views of Texas hill country. Pamela is an amazing host, thank you so much for your hospitality and can't wait ti come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lynn's place. It is a cozy cabin, surrounded by natural beauty and just a short walk to an unpopulated piece of the Sabinal River. I hope we'll be back!

We could not have asked for a better place to gather for our family's Thanksgiving! The kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner. Our family had plenty of space within the house to spread out, but we spent most of our time outside. The surroundings are gorgeous - we took walks down to the river, sat by the fire and fished in the morning. Cynthia was very nice and answered all of our questions. They provide fire wood for purchase, which is nice as it's one last thing to haul in. On our last day, we enjoyed the pickle ball/basketball court. They have everything you need - basketballs, paddles, balls, etc. We can't wait to come back!

We left our home after Hurricane Beryl and no electricity Kelli was very helpful in letting us check in early. We almost didn’t make the trip and she was already asking us about changing dates. Highly recommend staying here or other places Kelli has

Great location, just perfect for a family of 4. Close to Garner Park where we spent our time at. Our kids loved the swing and seeing the hummingbirds from the porch. Kitchen had all the essentials, beds were clean. The people working at the store were very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Amy’s place was perfect for our family Thanksgiving. There were 11 of us and we had all the space we needed. There were weather was lovely and we were able to spend time at the river. The kitchen was thoughtfully equipped. Our family is definitely considering spending next Thanksgiving there!
