Villa 'Los Balcones' - Top Villa in Priego.

SandraRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We had a very pleasant stay in this villa. The host, Paco, was very helpful and attentive and really helped to make our time at the villa enjoyable- having gifted us delicious churros one morning which were arguably the best we tried anywhere in Spain. The villa itself has no faults. The house is beautiful and designed in a charming traditional Spanish style. The rooms and beds were very clean and comfortable, the bathrooms had consistently warm running water and were clean also and the kitchen was stocked with every appliance necessary The view from the pool area of the house is very beautiful also and the pool / garden area would be a great place to relax and enjoy in warm weather Overall, this villa has no faults and was an amazing stay for our big family of 9 people. We thank Paco and his son Francisco for accommodating us in their gorgeous villa. Sandra

Large house with pool in La Victoria, Cordoba

NoeliaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We went to spend the weekend with some friends and both the service and the house were a 10. From the reservation until we left, they were attentive to everything we needed at any time, helping us solve any problems. We went in November but we haven't ruled out returning in summer to enjoy the patio and pool more. It is an ideal home to be with friends or family. The rooms are quite separate from each other and allow for privacy. In addition, the “common areas” that include several terraces, patio, living room, dining room and a large kitchen are quite spacious to enjoy in large groups.

CASA CRUZ. Country house

EdelyneRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We had a great time at Dave and Al's! They are adorable and made sure our stay went smoothly. The house is great: comfortable beds, cool during the day and possible to put on heating at night (we were with a baby and at the end of October it can be cool at night). We spent a lot of time outdoors: at the bottom of a staircase is the place with the dining table by the pool and not far from the hot tub. Great. In short, we'll be back with pleasure!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, despite the weather! The facilities met all our needs on good weather days and bad. Jim was always on-hand and very responsive to our questions or to resolve issues. Great location, never tired of looking at the views from the pool deck!

Antequera Castle House

PascaleRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a great time in Antequera. We chose this city because it is very well located in the heart of Andalusia and allowed us to crisscross and discover the must-see cities like Granada, Málaga, Cordoba and Seville. Antequera is quite typical, we were able to discover the traditional processions of Holy Week in peace, away from the ultra tourist sites crowded with visitors. Antonio José's place is lovely. Special mention to its very pleasant sunny terrace that offers breathtaking views of the landscape! We were not able to enjoy the pool because the season did not allow it but no doubt that in summer it must be providential. The apartment is well equipped and conveniently located. We will be happy to come back as soon as we have the opportunity.

Your guide to Cabra

All About Cabra

Cabra is a small rural town in central Andalusia in southern Spain, midway between the larger cities of Córdoba and Málaga. People have lived here since the Stone Age, and Cabra has been under the rule of the Romans, Visigoths, and Moors, leaving an array of historical sites and castles. Learn more about the area’s history and culture at the Cabra Municipal Archaeological Museum, which is full of artifacts dating from the Paleolithic to the late modern period.

The town serves as a gateway to the nearby Parque Natural de las Sierras Subbéticas, one of Spain’s most impressive national parks, where water has been carving limestone canyons for hundreds of thousands of years. The park’s mountains and valleys are home to golden eagles, wild goats, and hedgehogs in a richly biodiverse landscape of native plants and mosses — you might even spy rare orchids growing from cracks in the rocks. You will find ample opportunities for hiking and wildlife spotting here. In Cabra, visit one of the local cafes and restaurants to try Andalusian culinary specialties like goat’s-cheese salad, stuffed pork rolls, and ham and egg soup.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Cabra

Summers in Cabra are hot and dry, and tend to be very busy with summer travelers. This is a good time to come to enjoy outdoor activities and explore all that Andalusia has to offer. Spring and fall usually have mild weather and are slightly quieter. Winter is the slowest season. On the third Saturday in June, the small mountain town of Alfarnate, around 1.5 hours south of Cabra, celebrates its annual bounty of cherries with stalls, speeches, folk music, traditional dancing, and of course fruit as part of Día de la Cereza.

Top things to do in Cabra

Parque Natural de las Sierras Subbéticas

The UNESCO-protected Parque Natural de las Sierras Subbéticas is a stunning national park full of rugged landscapes. Its more than 78,000 acres are excellent for hiking and wildlife viewing, with more than 70 species of nesting and migratory birds as well as wild boars, mountain goats, and mouflons (horned sheep). There are various trails leading to the top of the mountain of Tiñosa, from where you can enjoy sweeping views of the region.

Cabra Castle

Built as an Arab fortress prior to the ninth century, Cabra Castle has had a long and turbulent history. The turreted complex sits above the west of the town, framed by high walls and rows of palm trees and featuring a courtyard overlooking the peaks of the Sierra Subbéticas UNESCO Global Geopark. The castle has changed hands many times and now serves as a school.
