Cottage vacation rentals in Butterfield Lake

Our families had a great time at the Berm House. Large, private yard. Swimming and fishing off the dock, bonfires, sunrise over the lake. Caught 6 or 7 largemouth bass. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of cookware. Life jackets were available and used. We drove to Rock Island camp up the road ($5 day fee for adults), and made the swim over to Rock Island for cliff jumping. You need to be a strong swimmer but the 9yo and 10yo kids made it with 1 adult. The pillows and beds are comfy but very soft, if you're used to a firmer pillow I'd suggest bringing one with you. Overall great experience, we'd love to come back again.

We can't say enough about our stay at Matt's beautiful cottage. Everything was exactly as advertised and looked exactly like the photos. The arrival instructions were very clear and we appreciated the communication leading up to our stay with the house rules PDF being sent by email. We enjoyed a very memorable weekend in the middle of prime autumn colours. This location is absolutely STUNNING!!!!! The sunsets are breathtaking and the property is perfect for watching the sun set over the lake. Mornings were also magnificent with mist and fall colours blending together beautifully. If you had small children, they would be in the lake from dawn to dusk at this fabulous property. We would definitely visit again; it was one of the best airbnb properties we have ever rented. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A fantastic cottage in a beautiful, private location. The place has everything you need. It also offers a chance to get away and unwind — with plenty of space for friends and family to join. Westport is just down the road and worth a visit, especially the brewery. Yvonne is also a conscientious and responsive host, so you’ll be in good hands. Great host, great stay!

For the third summer in a row, our stay at the cottage did not disappoint! As expected, Barbara and her team were wonderful hosts, the house was clean and well maintained. Check in was a breeze and of course after coming back for a third year, we certainly did feel right at home. With two adolescent/teenaged kids with busy summer schedules, a week of peaceful quiet, family game night every night and beautiful sunsets is exactly what we all need to recharge!

Our group stay at was amazing! The place was very clean, had all necessary utensils and more in the kitchen, and the place looked amazing. Sean was very proactive with making sure our stay was perfect, going to the lengths of getting a snow plow and sander over so that all of our vehicles could make it to the driveway. Furthermore, the cottage had an amazing view and sunrise, where you can see the sunrise either sitting in the warmth of the basement or by the fire & hot tub. The group went over to Mont Ste Marie for a ski-ing day and had an amazing weekend!

Janet is very attentive to details and her camp has everything you could need! The beautiful screened in porch was amazing to keep us out of the rain but could still enjoy the view! The camp was spotless and we had an amazing stay, thank you Janet! Would recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy a getaway from home!

This is our third time staying here and it never disappoints. The house is always pristine, well stocked with kitchen and bathrooms. The location is beautiful and peaceful. We look forward to our next stay here!

My personal best Airbnb experience hands down!! The home owners thought of everything, and you have everything you need except for your own personal belongings and sustenance. This is how Airbnb’s used to be back in the day but Ryan and his family’s home have taken it to the next level! Modern, clean, clutter free. They’ve thought of literally everything. Worth every penny. Don’t hesitate. If you’re staying up in the 1000 islands, stay here. No brainer in my book! Thanks, Ryan and fam for a wonderful last minute weekday getaway.

This house is as beautiful as it looks in photos and the view is even more spectacular. This is a wonderful place if you want peace, quiet and lots of stars. The lake is fantastic for kayaking (we brought our own so we didn’t have to worry about renting) or for laying on the dock and reading. The owners were also quick with their responses whenever we had questions ahead of the trip.

We just loved Hanna’s place! The cottage was exactly as pictured. The kids loved the standup paddle boards and the grandkids loved swimming in the crystal clear water off the dock - yes - in September! We even caught a fair sized bass - right off the dock. We spent a lot of time kayaking the lovely and serene lake. Thanks Hanna for the great experience and the very thoughtful touches everywhere. You have thought of everything 😀. The screened in porch was magical and we enjoyed eating there. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay this past weekend! The house was clean, kid friendly, and our dog also loved the environment. We had a fire every morning and evening, attempted to fish down at the docks, grilled, traveled out to Kingston as well as Gananoque. The house is a little off the map, which is what we were looking for, but definitely had to take the distance into consideration when it came to planning our adventures with the kids. Overall incredibly pleased with our stay!

Spectacular panoramic view of Lake Ontario! Within 10 minutes to Kingston Downtown. Well kept and well stocked kitchen. Would highly recommend. Devon was a fantastic host, very responsive and accommodating.

I stayed at this beautiful cottage with my mom and dog so we could do some hiking in the Frontenac area. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The cottage was exactly what we needed, clean, comfortable and homey. The property was spectacular! Beautiful view of the lake, plenty for space for the dog to run around and explore and a firepit to roast marshmallows and relax under the stars. Overall this was a great place to stay and I will definitely be returning in the future.

We rented this place over the long weekend and just loved it. Robert was a very response host. Everything was perfect. Very spacious place with everything you could possibly need. Very close to town, grocery store and sight seeing. Would definitely recommend and will be going back.

We loved our stay in Buck Bay. The weather was great and we enjoyed the dock and kayaks that were provided. We will be back!

This was our second stay with Hermann and Tracy and the cottage is as close to perfect as you can get. Excellent. Highly highly recommended. We love it.
