A beautiful home in the perfect location for the Southern Kakamega Forest. The family introduced us to a suitable and knowledgeable guide who tailored our walk in the forest to the needs and level of the family.

Ruth’s place embodies a well knit community where adults and kids coexist with no clash of interests. Close neighbors yet everyone minds their business. The house caretaker was welcoming and helpful. This is a place I would not hesitate to lodge in again

The place is very nice and cozy in an area that is quiet and surrounded by trees. The kitchen had the basic equipment needed to cook a good meal. The living room has been tastefully designed and quite comfortable. Kelvin, the caretaker was always at hand to ensure I was well taken care of. I now have a place where I can stay whenever I come back to Kakamega and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice quiet place.

The house is exactly as it is on the photos and can indeed host bigger groups. The host should however work on minor repairs like door locks. Some were broken so sm doors cudnt be locked. Wifi would be a great addition to this amazing place as well. Overal, awesome place.

I stayed for a week in one of Ruth's listings - it was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for a longer stay. It is in a very safe compound, and Ruth was a perfect host - responsive, helpful, and friendly. I would highly recommend Ruth and her accommodations to anyone coming to the area!

Our family had such a peaceful stay at Geoffrey's place. The setting was incredibly tranquil, perfect to unwind and for the kids. The house was very special, spotless, well equipped and so peaceful. The garden was also very beautiful with plenty of space and a lovely lovely gazebo. We can't wait to come back. Thank you Geoffrey!

We (2 adults and 2 young children) had a lovely time here.The host was very responsive, accommodative, kind and helpful. The home has everything you need, feels cosy, is very clean and is in a nice, safe location. We would definitely return
