Abdallah gave us a very warm welcome, gave great tips and helped us with arrival and onward travel. The apartment is large, has a great balcony with a view of the Nile. Various restaurants nearby (in Zamalek), nightlife. Would book the apartment again.

Lucky studio with breakfast

AjmalRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Everything worked out fine. The including breakfast was perfectly on time (one can choose the exact time between 8 or 9 and 11 o’clock) and absolutely great (fresh bread, cheese, jam, egg, salad, fruits, tea or juice, butter, falafel, Pommes frites and so on). I have to emphasise, that the communication with the hotel was very good. We had to change our plans and that was no problem. Without any hesitation we could do the changes in our booking - thanks again!!

Luxury apartment in Cairo City Center

SelmaRating, 5 stars18 months ago
I had a great stay in Moustafa's flat, which is ideally located within walking distance of downtown Cairo. The neighbourhood is lively and safe, and you'll find all you need in the area. It's also close to subway stations, so you can easily travel along the lines. The flat itself is big and equipped with all the necessities, be it in the kitchen or bathrooms. The rooms are comfortable and all of them have air conditioning, which is a must in Cairo. Moustafa is a very agreeable host, and in Cairo Halla was easy to reach and readily available to help me with any issues I encountered during my stay. All in all, I warmly recommend this place if you need accommodation in Downtown!

One bedroom with Roof Top View

RichaRating, 5 stars25 months ago
I booked the place for its location and it completely delivered on that. It is right in front of the pyramids and I was able to see them from my room as well as the rooftop. The light show was clearly visible from the rooftop and I immensely enjoyed the stay. They helped with a luggage issue I had with the airlines and were helpful in arranging food according to preference.

A perfect spot to stay in Cairo. The neighborhood is central, quiet but lively. Perfect for going out to dinner in the evening, it's easy to walk around. The apartment is cozy, well decorated. And above all, Martine's welcome is at its best: we received lots of good tips for visits, restaurants etc. I will happily return if I come back to Cairo!

Radiant Room No. 2 in Bayt Yakan Historic Cairo

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Bayt Yakan is a very special place to visit. If you want to be immersed in the heart of lively, intense, beautiful Cairo neighbourhood - book a room here. At the same time its recessed position off the street and courtyard make it a respite to the busy street life. There was plenty of hot water and the rooms were immaculately clean. Breakfast was provided on the roof terrace each morning and was delicious. Everything I asked about was responded to promptly by the wonderful co-hosts Sara and Alaa. I marvelled at the beautiful, caring renovation by the owners Ola and Alaa, was thrilled about the solar-powered elevator, and impressed by their ethos to bring in people from the local schools and area for workshops and exhibitions. I will recommend this place to my friends and colleagues, and will stay here again as 10 days in Cairo was not enough time.

Thanks Mr. Nasser for providing such a beautiful, comfortable room and balcony for my first trip in Cairo. Glad to say that this is my first time to book room in Airbnb and my experience is very nice because the apartment is clean and tidy. Other tourists living here are also very friendly to me and help me get adapted to Cairo. Cats are cute and they like staying together with people, which makes me feel warm. I will choose to live here again if I come to Cairo in future!

Private Double Room in downtown

SusanRating, 5 stars39 months ago
We stayed here for almost 3 weeks. I am from Alaska. I flew to Istanbul turkey first and stayed there a month. Both in hotels, and Airbnb's. They were all terrible compared to this place. I chose this place because it is in downtown Cairo, where I needed to be, and because the photos looked like a clean place. We liked it so much we kept renewing our stay. I have never been to Cairo, or Egypt, I don't speak Arabic, there is no way I could have known about this place or Ahmed the person managing the place. So for the bad review that said good reviews are from his friends, they are incorrect. They have private rooms here, if you want. I think they have shared rooms too. They have a private bathroom in each room. The bathroom is modern with several useful accessories. The bathroom is clean, with only a tiny bit of black mold. Everywhere else we stayed has LOTS of black mold! I had nowhere to put my toothbrush or body scrubber in the other places because I don't want them to touch the black mold. These were the first comfortable beds we have slept in on our 2 months of travel so far! All the other mattresses were so old they feel like you are sleeping directly on the springs. The room had its own balcony, with a table and 2 chairs, an air conditioner that actually works, and a small refrigerator. The price of the room was affordable for someone on a budget. It was fun to talk to Ahmed and a few of the guests, when I had time. Bring your own towels, but they provide the salt, pepper, tea, sugar, other basic kitchen items, clean water for foreigners, and a place to cook if you wish. They have at least one cat, so not for cat allergic people. Also, 11 stairs before the elevator, so no wheelchair users either. My partner says you feel like you are with your family, a really good place, good customer service. Next time I need a room in downtown Cairo, I will defiantly stay here again!
