My husband and I needed a getaway on Thanksgiving break to kick back and relax in peace. Maureen's property exceeded our expectations. The place was clean and cozy. We appreciated the silly quote decor and enjoyed the enclosed hot tub surrounded by snowfall. Most of all, Maureen was very communicative with us and prompt with responses. Thank you so much for having us, Maureen!

The house and property were absolutely beautiful. We had so much fun hiking the area, going in the canoe on the lake and using the hot tub. The house was very clean and the host was very fast to respond to messages. The kitchen was very well stocked with necessities. Loved the attention the detail in the decor. They do have well water so you may have to plan accordingly if you are not used to drinking well water. Also the host does request your email after booking and sends a 7 page, detailed contract that requires signing within 48 hours in order to keep your booking. I’m assuming they must have had some very bad experiences with guests previously and with such a nice property I can see why they would want to keep it nice. Overall very nice cabin for a nice relaxing weekend!

Hidden creek hideaway was perfect! Landon was on the ball with information regarding the area and cabin. Will definitely be booking with Landon again!

Joshua’s place was very spacious, yet cozy. It was the perfect weekend getaway for a couple of friends!

Brooke has a wonderful place, just as described. I havent been back in that area for 10 years and wanted my 2 children to experience some of what the area has to offer in an effort for them to want to go back. With the adventures we took them on, Brooke's place was the icing on the cake. The house was amazing and had everything we needed plus some. Highly recommend and as our kids told us we will be going back. There was an abundant of wild life to view & hear at the house and surrounding areas. Thank you Brooke for everything!!!!

extremely enjoyable stay. the space indoors & outdoors felt very privet adorable space with a hot tub to complete the perfection. only advisory I was impulsive and didn't read about the access road which is quite rough and probably doable in the summer in a standard two-wheel drive car if driven carefully. but in the snow you probably wouldn't make it in a standard car. likely for us out truck had no issues being 4x4

Once again Phil’s place exceeded expectations. We’ve stayed here every year for at least five years and he continues to be one of the best hosts with one of the best spots in my air bnb experience. Would recommend highly if you’re looking to stay in the Cook Forest area. Looking forward to booking again next year

Great stay for my family of five! My husband, our two littles, and our pup wanted a last minute weekend getaway and Richard made everything so easy! From flexible check in, to prompt communication, he was great to work with. The place was quiet, felt so homey, and had EVERYTHING you could want. Richard even set up a pack and play for our daughter so we didn’t have to bring one. Close to a lot of trails but nothing directly walkable from the house, and most attractions and stores were closed off season, but would be great to come back to in the spring or summer.

This is the second stay here with a buddy to get away! It’s very unique how it sits close to the creek and there’s plenty of privacy. I’m planning on bringing my 3 boys sometime soon too!

The cabin was on the river and had a very nice yard that sloped right down to the water. It was November and we did fish a little but were unlucky. I would definitely rent this in the summer just to play in the water. There was fire wood and a great fire pit. The deck and furniture were excellent. The cabin was spotless and had amenities that I did not expect--dish soap, kitchen towels, washer, dryer. etc. The only possible negative comment is that the sitting area was combined with the kitchen so the TVs were located in the bedrooms. This would have been fine had it been more than my husband and I. We usually travel with family and never turn on a TV. The host, Erwin, communicated well and made sure we could contact him at any time with any questions. I would rent again from him with confidence.

Amazing log cabin in the woods! This cabin has all the charm of a rustic cabin with modern amenities. The location is perfect and has everything an outdoor lover could ask for! We had a great time and look forward to coming back soon for another stay! Thank you to our host, the cabin was awesome!

We had a wonderful time staying here at this pristine cabin in the quiet woods. The inside was so homey and very clean. The hiking available close by was a nice surprise and very scenic. We would absolutely stay here again as the host was quick to respond and the cabin was lovely.

Pamela was a wonderful host! Instructions were clear and able to get in contact easily. First entering into the cabin, it was spotlessly clean and the pictures on the listing doesn’t serve it enough justice. It’s more spacious than we expected. It is the perfect place to have some time and peace back. The place has everything ready, with a nice note from Pamela, a binder of recommendations, snacks, all the possible cooking utensils with the essentials (oil, salt, pepper). The bathroom was extremely clean so that’s an area where anyone wouldn’t need to worry about. We went in the winter time and the fireplace was the center piece with the electric heater to stay warm. Pamela even had extra blankets in case we needed it. It was a pro for us that there was no wifi and barely enough cellular service to go on the internet and stay attached on our phones. I would highly recommend this place and would most definitely return as the perfect getaway!

This cabin in the woods was incredibly peaceful and serene and the cabin had everything you could want. The home felt well used and comfortable and there was enough space for everyone to feel cozy. The firepit was so much fun and the surroundings were beautiful. It was a bit difficult to get up the driveway in the snow but other than that it was perfect.

I had the pleasure of meeting Becca’s co-host, Joan. I arrived early and she told me to go on in! We sat a chatted for a bit and it was like talking to some folks you hadn’t seen in a while, what a pleasure. Great people, great place, and great stay! I hope I find myself in the area again to enjoy the peace and quiet!

This place was great. Large space with enough room for everyone. Beautiful log cabin feel in a secluded area. Host was able to accommodate early check in as we reached out a few weeks in advance. Would book again!

Stayed at Elk Pines over the weekend. Place was close to Elk viewing and restaurants. Home was very spacious and nicely remodeled. One suggestion would be to insulate the floor. With temps dropping the heater won't keep up in the family area. Overall a nice place and Elk actually did creep up one evening.

Beautiful cabin in an incredible location. Highly recommend. Was a perfect weekend getaway spot.
