Vacation rentals in Brava, Costa Rica

This is a very nice, secure, spacious, family home in a local Costa Rican town. All the locals are extremely friendly, and the surrounding nature was breathtaking. We woke up every morning to see a beautiful white horse in the backyard, hummingbirds galore, and there was even a sloth family that lived in the trees above the playground down the street. Andrea is a fabulous host, who really cares about your stay, and checks in daily. We did a pineapple tour, visited the butterfly gardens, relaxed in thermal springs, and of course saw the volcano Arenal. There is so much to do nearby. We would rebook this place in a heartbeat! Highly recommend.

We stayed with our two sons (ages 6 and 8) for two nights at Alberto’s place, and it was truly outstanding. The accommodation is fantastic—every detail has been thoughtfully considered, making it a place that feels both welcoming and unique. The view from the terrace is simply breathtaking, stretching far across the landscape, and you’re surrounded by nature in the best possible way. The entire property, including the pool and outdoor spaces, is beautifully designed with great care and love. It’s a wonderful estate that offers peace, comfort, and inspiration. The surrounding area also provides plenty of opportunities for memorable experiences and adventures, especially with kids. You can fully rely on Alberto’s recommendations—they were spot-on and helped us make the most of our stay. We also really appreciated the chance to meet Alberto in person and talk with him about his inspiring project. It added a personal and meaningful touch to our visit. We can highly recommend this place!!!

We stayed a couple of nights with our 2 daughters of 4&6. We were very happy with this spacious place which had all the things we hoped (pool, kitchen, separate bedrooms etc.). Very quiet and beautiful surroundings with sightings of hummingbirds and deer in the garden. Only drawback was that it rained (not the hosts fault 😂) which made the pool a little cold to our taste and the “dark decor” of the house which necessitated a lot of lighting before it felt light and open. Nice and comfy beds etc. which is always appreciated. The local restaurant at the corner is worth a visit and shops are a 5 min. Drive away 🤙🏼

This bungalow is just a stone throws away from the mainroad in Tortuguero, making it easy to walk to the beach (not a swimmable beach, but a nature paradise). It is super easy to walk to the turtle sanctuary into the local guides who can take you out to kayak night walks, etc. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby. Our host who took us out for our morning canoe tour greeted us at the docks and showed us right to the apartment where we met both of our hosts for the house. If you are a light sleeper, there are a lot of wild bird, roosters, and animals outside. Which is the attraction of this location! I would recommend bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The house had all of the amenities we would need, plus it had air conditioning, which is helpful when it gets really hot and humid in the Caribbean climate. I would recommend this host and location to anybody visiting the area and looking to be close to everything.

We stayed as a family of 4 travelling from the UK. Treated with kindness and respect throughout our stay. The house had everything we needed, comfortable, clean and incredibly welcoming hosts. Would not hesitate to recommend for an active family or couples.

Allan's home was a perfect place for us to stay while in Tortuguero. He was a very responsive host and the location was great. Nothing is far in Tortuguero. Clean and comfortable with a fully shaded patio which was SO welcomed during the heat of the day. Would book again for any future trip.

It was an excellent stay, Miguel was super friendly, he helped us with everything. I definitely recommend the place, which is ideal for couples, I hope to return!

This is a very comfortable accommodation in a pretty neighborhood of Venecia and close to several sites of interest that we did not have time to discover being on site <48 hours. Similarly we did not have time to enjoy the nice exterior. perfectly matches the photos. The beds and the sofa and armchairs are very comfortable. Modern and well equipped kitchen. In short, a modern and comfortable accommodation, decorated with taste where it will be good to linger more than we have been able to do.

Nice furnishings and unique set up with kitchen and bathrooms separate from the dome but just literally step outside the dome door. The breakfast was fabulous and was in a traditional banana leaf with rice, bacon, eggs. This is as close to camping as I like to get. The windows are plastic so it's not entirely clear to see out but it's still unique. There are two domes on the property and next door is another house rental. It's along a gravel road with other residences and pretty quiet. Community cat a friendly guest who shows up just as the food is delivered. Use Waze to find it.
