Alpilles Estate near St Remy - up to 11 bedrooms

JaneRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We were a party of two families and stayed for one week in April. The house is tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean and the kitchen well equipped, with ensuite facilities in every bedroom. The grounds and garden were private and well maintained. Our housekeeper was very helpful. It is within walking distance of Mouries but along a busy road so a car is essential if you have young children and babies but also to visit the local markets and the Roman ruins in St Remy and Arles. Mount Ventoux is a day trip away for keen cyclists. Our host was always available to answer questions.

Villa Sunset

This villa is incredible beautiful, in a peaceful and quiet perch overlooking the Luberon valley. The village is a 2 minute uphill walk to a great boulangerie, restaurants and a small supermarket. There is a small parking lot close to the villa, where you can park. I recommend a compact car for getting access to it. The photos look just like the villa. It was hot while we were there so we really enjoyed the pool and the privacy of the spot. Nice linens and good beds. I highly recommend.

This place is so spectacular, i find it hard to put into words. Stunning. The grounds of the house were beautiful, the views of the valley were breathtaking. And then theres the house.... much bigger and more impressive than even the epic photos- we were blown away. This property is really something special. Im so happy i got to celebrate my 40th there among family. Our ages ranged from 10 months - 75 years and i'm not sure who had the better time!

Presqu'île Villa

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Adrien's . The house is just like the pictures–if not even more beautiful. The view of the city and far off calanques is quite unbeatable. We weren't certain about the neighbourhood when arriving, but we quickly found that Endoûme was a gem–great nearby restaurants, quick access to the nearby beaches and very easy to get around the city (rental bikes, scooters). I would most definitely stay in this area again instead of downtown/old port. Adrien and Marielle were extremely helpful and responsive (our wifi cut off, but they quickly remediated to the situation). If I am ever back in Marseille and this is available, this will 100% be our go-to spot.

Domaine de Canaille

This beautiful property lived up to and even exceeded the photos. The breathtaking views from the terrace, hot tub, and pool really can't be captured by photo. Beyond the pristine property with a great location, the real magic was the staff and the responsiveness of the host. I brought 25 guests in for my 40th birthday and Marie was incredibly organized and prepared to offer suggestions for cocktail catering, onsite chef services, yoga instructors, sailing options, live music, local drivers, etc. I highly recommend using the sailing services to explore the area by water and the car services she recommends to visit nearby wineries, but the town is walkable from the house...if you ever want to leave this stunning place!

La Bergerie d'Aix en Provence

KennethRating, 5 stars24 months ago
We have just completed a seven night stay at La Bergerie d'Aix en Provence. A great experience with room for some upside improvements as well. Our contact during the stay was Raphaelle - who was great throughout. We actually arrived early and she was welcoming and accommodating. She showed us the whole house and provided contact details and remained in regular contact with us on a What's App thread. Definitely a highlight of the stay - professional and friendly and very responsive even when she was off duty. The house is actually two houses - the main one and a more modern guest house. All was clean and well maintained throughout. A variety of bedrooms of different standards and sizes and all were available to our relatively small group. Another highlight was the pool - it is large, clean, well heated and with a fully opertional cover - all of which worked smoothly. Plenty of outdoor dining options, two grills, a ping pong table and all in full working order. We used the main kitchen throughout with two dishwashers and plenty of matching and modern flatware and pans etc. We cooked dinner several times. There would be no space problem accommodating a large family group. The house and grounds were comfortable and spacious. It's clear that this is a continuing project for the owners. A lot more potential exists as the property, exterior walkways, pool area and further guest houses / games room are developed. We also found the french speaking cleaner / maid to be lovely. She showed up more times than we expected and managed towel rotation and cleaning throughout the week. We are tidy and used the dishwashers extensively etc and she complimented that and us really well - despite the language barrier. Location is good. A one mile walk to Saint Cannat which has markets, bakery, butcher and others stores and an outdoor market. We had fun sourcing food daily with the friendly local community. What could be improved ? Our collective main feedback is that the main kitchen gas oven and range do not match the quality or reliability of the rest of the house. Very hard to light / set and operate. There is a newer electric oven in the guest house but that is some distance away. If you plan to cook, that's the main watch item. We had few issues in the week. Gas replacement on BBQ grill and a tripped AC system. All was dealt with smoothly and quickly and without fuss. We appreciated that. Thank you to the owners, Raphaelle and the whole crew for a great week in the quiet countryside of Provence.
