Vacation rentals in Boca del Drago

The marina is quiet and well maintained, and nicely located in the mangroves on Isla Bastimentos across from Red Frog Beach. The boat was comfortable for us (two single women) and the use of the resort was a real bonus, although the sea was very rough so no swimming permitted.

Our stay at Rodney's guest house was perfect to visit Bocas and explore everything it and the archipelago had to offer. The location is perfect - right by the water with quick water taxi access to everywhere we wanted to visit. The convenience of getting around made our trip so much more enjoyable. Rodney is truly a rare breed of host - attentive, responsive, and genuinely interested in ensuring we had a wonderful stay. His communication was excellent from booking through checkout. He provided clear instructions and was always available to answer questions or offer local recommendations. The guest house itself was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided. We can't recommend Rodney's place highly enough and would definitely stay here again on our next visit. Thank you for making our trip so special!

We had a wonderful stay at Red Frog Island Beach Resort, where Brett's house is located. The house is great, with a wonderful pool and grounds, large bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas, and a nice kitchen. Brett was communicative, often responding within minutes of my emails. He was also accommodating when questions or challenges arose. The resort is also great! The villas are spaced very far apart within a large forested area. My kids loved seeing sloths, monkeys, and red frogs. The Beach Club restaurant has a diverse menu and reasonable prices, and is well located next to a nice swimming pool and hot tub. Just past the pool is a great beach for walking along, wading in, and even doing some body boarding. The resort has an adequately stocked store, as well as a spa. Unless you enjoy walking and have time and energy for it, I recommend renting a golf cart during your stay. Having a golf cart made it much easier to get around.

This was my second stay there, and it was just as great as the 1st visit - Great location - Highly recommend !! Walking distance to the main street which has plenty restaurants shops, and places to get a water taxi to visit the other close islands and the Floating Bar. We will be back again !!

Gorgeous and private setting with all the necessary amenities. Morgan, the local host, was very responsive and so helpful on all logistical questions related to transport. The location is central for Bastimentos and water taxis to Bocas town were easy enough to arrange. It was nice to be in walking distance to restaurant at Eclypse de Mar right down the steps while still feeling totally isolated and private in beautiful jungle setting. Excellent stay!

Really fun place to stay. Was bigger than we expected and kids loved the lookout bedroom. Walter was super helpful with taxi numbers and advise on good places to visit. There is a nice small beach that was good to chill on just a 5-10 min walk and taxis to further afield were easy to arange via whatsa msg.

Heather was a wonderful host as was Laurie who arranged everything. We enjoyed our jungle beach experience! My favorite was the large outdoor jungle shower!

Cecilia and her husband are wonderful hosts; very friendly and responsive. The apartment is located in a beautiful location where jungle and beach intersect. It is very peaceful. Beautiful sunrises. There are a few very good restaurants within walking distance and Bocas town is a very short drive or long walk ( I did walk it once). A couple things I really appreciated that I wish more Airbnbs did were the non-toxic stainless steal cookware and a yoga mat that were provided. If I return to Bocas I will look for this listing’s availability.

The casita that Vanessa and Jack built is a dreamy place and way more beautiful than I imagined. I will never forget the feeling of sleeping with the sound of the waves in the background. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer to enjoy it! Their place was full of “toys” we could use for free during our stay like kayaks and easy access to a private beach right next to the house. Jack was so nice to pick us up at a nearby location and drop us off when we got off. You will never regret visiting the casita, just make sure to buy some groceries before you check into the house!
