Awesome place to stay. Wendy & Wayne have created a peaceful, relaxing, private cottage at Cape Foulwind. The views are magical and there are multiple spaces to sit and enjoy the stunning garden and views out to sea. Loved hearing the waves crashing around below. The cottage is well appointed, spacious and extremely clean and tidy. Wendy has thought of everything you might need to make your stay enjoyable and the generous breakfast was appreciated. We had a lovely sunset walk to the Cape Foulwind lighthouse and the next day explored the seal colony at Tauranga Bay. The cottage is in a great location to explore the local area. Lovely to meet Wendy, wish we could have stayed longer. We’ll be back. Rachel & Chris

A perfect overnight stop on our travels. We settled in and enjoyed the stunning view (after negotiating the steep driveway!). Quite a large and comfortable place; well-equipped. Very responsive caretakers quickly solved a small issue with the water flow. This place has a luxurious feel and we were glad we had the opportunity to stay there.

The cottage was bigger than we expected, 2 lovely big bedrooms and a spacious lounge, dining room, kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked and there was a washing machine. There was a big selection of DVDs. Also private parking. We had a great walk to see the fur seals. We could only stay one night but would definitely recommend a longer stay.

Jude’s property is in a very beautiful location overlooking the ocean. It’s warm, comfortable, tastefully furnished and private. She provides a simple and tasty breakfast and we were fortunate enough to have a generous bowl of her lovely, sweet homegrown strawberries to enjoy as a snack and with our breakfast. We highly recommend a stay.

One of our favourite Airbnb stays! The setting is stunning. We were lucky to have perfect weather for our 3 night stay which made the deck and views a real treat. The sunsets are beautiful too. One of the most comfy beds I have slept in and we both slept so well. Loads of room and everything we needed. Angie and Bryan were lovely hosts. They gave us privacy but also invited us up for a wine and we had a great chat. Highly recommend this wee slice of paradise.

Paul was very responsive. We stopped in this town on our way to Queenstown. Spacious room. We had already cooked at the previous apartment so our meals were easy to fix and had a microwave, toaster, plates, cutting board, and utensils. Highly recommend.

Robert’s place was absolutely beautiful! We loved our 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. You just can’t get enough of the views. The house is very big and had lots of room for our family of 4. Having 2 separate lounge areas was a luxury. The kitchen is well stocked to make your own meals and the little things like oil, salt & pepper, coffee and tea is a nice touch. It an easy 20min drive from Punakaiki and walking along Motukiekie beach (5mins away) at low tide was fantastic and recommended by Robert. We would love to stay here again if we are ever back in the neighbourhood.

We had a great stay here for 2 nights before taking the TranzAlpine Train. The house is super comfortable for two couples and is a ten minute stroll to a big supermarket. Unfortunately the weather was miserable and we were very grateful for the wood fire.

Well the pictures instantly appealed- but it’s much larger in real life. The accessibility for me of being able to check in at 9pm was very helpful and as I had a lot of gear with me having the door at the front was very useful for loading and unloading. The details in the memrobilia were very interesting and yet a classic collection that was visually appealing A very classy apartment. Also much warmer and quieter that I had expected.

Stunning Hokitika Holiday House

Beautiful house, very spacious and comfortable with plenty of bedrooms. New build and very clean with modern facilities. We had fun with some of the games too. Felt right at home here. Fridge and pantry items provided were also a nice touch. This place is a little out of Hokitika itself but still a convenient 5 minute drive into town. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing somewhere to stay especially for a family trip to Hokitika.
