Cabin vacation rentals in Big Piney River

It was a beautiful and peaceful stay. Cozy small cabin that allowed us to just unwind and unplug from the outside world for a while

I thought this place was OK for the price. It has very much potential but unfortunately looks like it hasn’t been kept up with very well. I would still recommend it absolutely beautiful location and close to everything we wanted to see. Had a musty smell which yes it’s by the lake but it hits you right in the face when you walk in. i’ve stayed in many lake homes never had that smell. flies all over the window ledge. Looks quite different from the photos. Think with some hardcore cleaning this place would be fantastic. Hot tub was wonderful. Unclear instructions on the gate closing at a certain time having you drive through a different way and had to call for the check in code because i didn’t receive that in my email like the instructions said i would. Quick helpful response from the rental company though. If more effort was put into the cleaning process i would have given it a higher rating. enjoyed my stay anyway im okay with some grit and grime for a short stay some people aren’t.

We recently stayed at this cabin and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The cabin was cozy, charming, and had everything we needed. The decor was thoughtfully done, blending rustic charm with modern touches that made it very comfortable. We also appreciated the outside fenced in area for the dogs. It was also close enough to hiking trails and outdoor activities near Ha Ha Tonka State Park. Inside, the cabin was very clean and well-stocked, with everything from extra blankets to kitchen essentials. The towel warmer was much appreciated. The hosts were also wonderful – very responsive and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. If you’re looking for a place to truly relax and experience a rustic cabin vibe with modern comfort, this is it! Highly recommend!

Great owners and lovely cabin. It was clean as a pin and they thought of everything that we would need during our stay. They were very responsive and helpful. We even got a visit from their cat that was sweet and snuggly!

We had a large group and the place was perfect for what we needed! Look forward to visiting again next time we are in Steelville to float!

this was a wonderful family vaca spot. we wanted to unplug with the kids and spend a lot of one on one time. we definitely did that! lots of walking the property but we also found beautiful hiking spots close by as well. we did the escape room in steelville (10 out of 10 recommend) and we went to meramac caverns. we ate at Friscos in Cuba and it was delicious!! the vibe there was also amazing! we went to peaceful bend winery and purchased two bottles of wine and some yummy cookies! i wish we had time to have lunch there! Master donuts was a nice morning treat for the kids one morning as well. if you travel to the area the only things I wish I would have known are 1. nothing is open on Sundays and 2. off season many places close up. we definitely want to come back to 4 Js one spring!!

The cabin was clean and nicely decorated and had everything we needed, except a second dining chair. If you are going to spend any time in the cabin you'd better love the one you're with, as it is even smaller than it looks in the pictures. The lower bunk can't really accommodate more than one person comfortably. The location is wonderful.

This is my new favorite spot! the cabin is so beautiful with all the amenities you could use to be comfortable, it was better than being home.. The bubble bath with the view was amazing they even have a heater installed above so you stay warm in and out of the water!! The land it sits on is breath taking we saw a pair of bald eagles flying every day right at the edge of the cliff and it's a spectacular view. deer come right up to the cabin as well so if you enjoy the outdoors and peace this is the place for you. it's very private and there are two towns within 20 minutes and no expensive tourist prices just cute tiny towns. The bigger Rolla is less than an hour for more city like entertainment but I prefer the short drive down to the river where you can swim in the springs. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The host was so kind and quick responses for any questions we had. This is the ozark experience and I'm so thankful for my time here. can't wait to come back!!

Follow all the instructions to get there to a T and youll be just fine. The cabin itself was secluded and wonderful. Exactly what we needed.

Quiet, secluded and peaceful. The pond is so pretty! The cabin was amazing, sparkling clean, very well stocked, and super easy to find. The bed was so cute and quite comfy, complete with extra pillows! The water pressure in the shower will knock your socks off!! There are even 2 bbqs, both gas and charcoal. I can't say enough about the peacefulness. Sitting in the rocking chairs on the expansive deck, listening to the crickets, birds, frogs and squirrels was beyond relaxing! The beautiful fall colors were in abundance in late October with so many different types of trees on the property. James was an amazing host. He responded within seconds if I had a question. He was super accommodating too! There is plenty to do within a few miles of the cabin. Montauk State Park is just a short drive with amazing fishing and hiking, and the towns of Salem and Licking are very close (Salem even has a Walmart). The options for restaurants for any meal are abundant in both towns.

Wonderful location tucked in the woods. Peaceful and quiet to go back to after a long day.

Enjoyed this Cabin from Thanksgiving! I was beautiful and Emily did such an amazing job decorating for Christmas. We felt right at home and loved the atmosphere. We got to watch the first snow of the season come in. Our boys loved it and it made such a memorable holiday. We definitely would love to come back durning the summer season but the winter is absolutely beautiful as well. Emily had a lot of essential to help your stay go a lot smoother and that’s truly appreciated! This cabin had everything we needed to make sure we were comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality and everything was great!

I couldn't be more grateful for this place and Sue, I was here for the last 2 months of my pregnancy waiting for my husband to graduate from FLW. I was extremely comfortable here, anything i needed or had concerns about Sue made sure i was taken care of,Blue jay farms will forever have a place in my heart.

It was an amazing place for my family, We love every single moment. The place is so peaceful. My kids loved the animals. I highly recommend to have a peaceful moment with the family. Thank you so much Thomas for hosting us.

This was our second stay at Jacob’s place and we again enjoyed our selves very much! Everything was great; above and beyond!

Just returned from an amazing weekend at The Boathouse. As soon as we got out of the car, we were taken back by the amazing view of the river below and beautiful foliage. We were surrounded by tall trees. The house is so quaint with all the necessities to prepare a meal. The two bedrooms, each with a full size bed, are roomy. There is plenty of space for a couple air mattresses in the living room area. The bathroom appears small in the picture yet roomier than we thought. There is a functioning gas fireplace in the living room which we did not use. Our favorite spot on the property was the fire pit with four comfortable chairs. Although we brought firewood, there was plenty available by the owner. Expect to see hawks, eagles and other wild life. We had an amazing dinner at the Wildwood Lodge with entertainment following by the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. We will be back!

We came for my son’s army graduation and we couldn’t be more happy with the place that we picked to stay! Shelly made us feel right at home, even invited us to her house for my grandchildren and my daughter to play! When we got snowed in, she made sure she brought us food! She’s an absolutely amazing person and if we ever come back, we’re definitely staying with her!!!! our state was absolutely perfect because of her!!! The kindness she showed my family was absolutely unbelievable!!!

Host was super nice and went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay!10/10 recommend we will be back this year
