Historic Downtown Allman Brothers Loft

Great location - bars, restaurants, music venues, Capricorn, Redding, and Tubman museums all within a few blocks. Easy short drives to H&H and the Big House. You have to pay to park on the street or in a parking garage but it's only $6 per 24 hours. It's on the 3rd floor but there are two elevators both of which are very quick to arrive if not waiting on you. We were concerned about the noise from the bar below but with a bluetooth speaker and a white noise app we totally drowned it out and there was no need for earplugs. FYI the coffeemaker is a Keurig knockoff we came prepared with grounds and filters so bring pods instead. It was clean - we would stay there again.

I had a great stay for the weekend. The space was cozy, clean, and pet-friendly, which was a huge plus. Check-in was seamless, and the location was easy to find. The bed was comfortable, and having a fan in the bedroom was a nice touch. As mentioned in other reviews, you can hear footsteps from the main house above, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me, especially given the great price. Overall, I felt safe and comfortable and would stay again.

Relaxing, Stylish and Walkable Downtown Macon Stay

Great spot! Beautiful surroundings - the church is right outside the front door and it’s incredible. All the happenings are about 3 blocks which was perfect for us since we wanted to be just far enough away to miss the noise. Everything was so clean and updated. The only thing I wish we’d known was that the bathrooms are not connected to the bedrooms but are down the main hallway beside each other. The hosts were so friendly and proactive to check on our arrival and departure. We will be back!

Pauls home is absolutely beautiful. The size of the bedrooms was wonderful, too. The bed linens were so soft and yummy, and the towels were thick, thirsty, and soft. Since we are on an extended (6 weeks away from home) excursion we had a lot of suitcases and would have LOVED some racks so everything wasn’t on the floor, but we made it work! LOL! The single suite (without the fireplace) would be perfection if it had a nice chair and a side table with a lamp, for reading. Or maybe a desk and chair with a little lamp. Both would be very useful. But if you’re just in and out for a weekend, it’s perfect. It’s beautiful. I would totally stay there again… and if I’m by myself (next time) I’d love to stay in the single apartment next door! Thank you, Paul, for everything! The tornado-esque storm that blew through the night before we left was fantastic! I felt so safe in that house and if I’d needed to duck & cover, my bathroom, (under the stairs) would have been the perfect place! For sure!

Did we just step into a time machine and go back to the 70's? That's what it felt like staying here! The house, the neighborhood, the decor, and the only thing that made you realize you were still in the current times was the TV. Don't get me wrong, the house and furniture are updated, but with retro stuff. We really enjoyed listening to the records they have there, and a great collection to boot! We didn't realize that the clear glass cups that were in the cupboard were coffee cups, so we messaged the host and they replied almost immediately and delivered some very early the next morning. Everything was perfect, and we would definitely stay here again!

I recently stayed here in Macon for a couple of weeks and I was really lucky to find this AirBNB. It was spacious, pretty, clean, and had every amenity that I could’ve asked for. The kitchen was really nice, the living room was comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean. I also really liked how the gravel driveway was hidden and tucked away. I found myself going to Amerson River Park on the weekends and other little spots around town. The hosts were very quick to respond if I ever needed anything and were great with recommendations and suggestions. I can’t recommend this AirBNB enough to people staying in the Macon area and was very happy with my stay.

This is a great place for what I needed at the time I came here. I have been here for 5 months. We had a great time meeting his mother (cleaning person) as well as his s children when he had to come over in an emergency when the power went out. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants a great quiet place to stay.

This was just what we needed. A 2 night stay with that southern charm. Quiet. Close to downtown. Walkable. Larger than expected unit. Easy parking. Great amenities. Enjoyed dinner at Yollah restaurant….just a Short walk and had outdoor seating. Delicious lobster bisque and fish taco. Walkable to downtown. Beautiful homes on the way. Hosts were responsive as needed. We would stay here again!

This was our second stay at this Airbnb, and it was just as great as we remembered. The space was the perfect size for me and my husband—very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. It was clear that the hosts paid considerable attention to detail in readying the guest suite, right down to the sharpness of the knives and the kitchen, laundry area and bathroom amenities. They were responsive to questions and requests. The dining table and chairs are high (bar-style). Climate control was very good. The sitting room is spacious. A very good place to stay.

Beautiful historic home! Very peaceful with convenient parking. Home had everything we needed and then some. Love all the antique furniture and decor. Everything was clean and as pictured. Comfy bed and plenty of linens. Amanda was very responsive and helpful as well.

The place was very Cosy old architecture. It is a house divided so you will hear other people but that is the nature for the older style buidlings. It did have everything I needed for my 2 night stay. For being 6'2" the shower was a little small but the entire bathroom was large. The kitchen was pretty with all the necessities. The bed was big and comfy. The hosts notified me of an item that was damaged before my arrival so I didn't have to worry about that and it was very welcome proactive information. They also communicated extremely well and were more than accommodating for my flight delays and checkout which I really really appreciated. 100% recommend to stay!

This place was the perfect accommodation for me and my family of 3. Tricia communicated well and in a timely manner before, during, and even after our stay. She went above and beyond to make sure we had what we need. She was nice enough to purchase a pack and play for our baby to sleep in. Anything that was not available to us, Tricia let us know so that we could get it (for example, pots and silverware for cooking). Check in and Check out were both a smooth process. We would not mind staying here again in the future! We enjoyed it!

Such a beautiful area and home. Water pressure was great. Bed was comfy. Loved that old time feeling , brought back memories of visiting grand parents. Walked to The Brick restaurant. Fluffiest pizza dough EVER!! Hopefully get to come back and spend more than one night.

While it was not the lap of luxury some people might assume they deserve, I am not those bougie people. It was peace and love, and not bad at all. I am a fairly upper middle class, military veteran woman who felt right at home. Had it not been for an appointment I thought we could not change at home, we would have stayed an entire month. I love a place where it is peaceful, I can cook my own food, although not far from amenities and restaurants; and there was no need for a laundromat. We ended up extending for 2 more nights after our 2 week reservation; and we might be returning soon. We went there to look for our first home together, as newlyweds over a certain age. Despite my anxiety from many things in life, I really did feel at home there. Before my first time in Macon, I would have never guessed that from all I had heard in my much younger years in Texas, I would actually enjoy and be so comfortable staying there. It really was an A+ stay.
