The "Hühnerhaus"

The hen house is located in the middle of the beautiful Permagarten, below a former monastery, on the Katzenhof in Bachhaupten. Gabi and Guido live their dream of independence here and want to expand the farm sustainably and suitable for grandchildren. For example, the walls and ceiling of the hen house were made from the over 200-year-old plank boards of the main house. The "gray water" is used in the garden and the "separating toilet" works without drinking water flushing. We’ve just returned from a perfect stay in apartment smile. The location is fantastic, just a short walking distance from shops, restaurants, train & bus stations with Lake Constance literally across the road. The apartment is a credit to Petra being one of the cleanest, well equipped places we’ve rented anywhere. Everything inside is of the highest quality. Petra’s support & attention to detail was fantastic throughout - especially the instructions for check in - amazing!!!!! To summarise - faultless.

There were three of us in the sufficiently large apartment. The apartment is pretty and conveniently furnished; furniture incl. Beds are very comfortable. Allensbach is a good starting point for trips to Constance (about 10 minutes by train), Salem (Affenberg) and of course to the island of Mainau. We didn't lack anything. We can highly recommend the apartment.

We stayed in Christoph and Minou's apartment for the second time. We simply enjoy the fact that you can easily reach everything from the apartment in Überlingen's old town. Nevertheless, it is totally quiet in the apartment. We like Überlingen and the area around Lake Constance very much. We also discovered a lot of new things during this stay.

The apartment is in a very quiet location in a beautiful house. The apartment offers a lot of space, a very harmonious decor and a mega well equipped kitchen. We felt immediately comfortable with our two boys (5&8 years). The communication was very prompt and accommodating. We stayed in the apartment for a week in the fall, where the heating was in operation. The oil taste was a bit in the apartment, but only in the hallway. In the bathroom, it smelled very strict, but it has a window, so you could also ventilate again and again. Thanks for the wonderful week at the lake!

Alfons and his wife are super friendly and generous hosts. The apartment was as described, super clean and in a great location, very close to the beach and the bus stop, from where you can quickly get to Überlingen/Meersburg/Constance, etc. We would love to come back :-)

Christine and Otto were very sweet and we felt right at home. Christine met my daughter and I outside the apartment and showed us everything directly. She showed recommendations for the region and let us know that she should always be easily accessible. The apartment was well equipped from technology to cleaning items such as vacuum cleaners and washer-dryer - both very important if you arrive with a child;) The living room has magnificent morning light and I was looking forward to the morning coffee every day. The location was quite far away from our day trip destinations but this was rather our "difficulty"; there are also a lot of great opportunities right in the area. We still have many open wishes in the region and will definitely stay with Christine and Otta again to make the bucket list a little shorter (: I highly recommend this stay! -Paul family
