Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Bergisches Land

Everything was great, especially chilling by the fireplace.

Jos is the friendliest Host I have ever met. He was so kind, that we felt right at home from the start.

This is our third time staying in the property as a group. As always, communicating with the host was very easy and she was always available. Everything worked wonderfully and we had a great stay. We will be back for sure.

Our weekend in Hallschlag was very nice. In the house is everything you need and the fireplace makes it particularly cozy.

Very well equipped holiday home. We didn't miss anything. Good starting point for excursions and hikes. Perfect for big families and groups. We particularly enjoyed the fireplace and the panoramic window.

We had a wonderful stay with the whole family at this vacation home! Location was just perfect. The house itself was very clean and well equipped. We especially appreciated the cozy decor and the fully equipped kitchen, which allowed us to prepare some meals ourselves. Even though the stairs would have been a challenge for my mother, we found an optimal solution. Bettina was extremely friendly and helpful and the check-in process was straightforward, and we felt immediately welcome. An absolute highlight was the beautiful view, where we could relax in the evening by the fire pit. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this vacation home! Quaint half-timbered house in the Bergisches Land, located right on the edge of the forest. Features + quiet and private location + Friendly hosts + pet-friendly accommodation (we were there with our big dog) + atmospheric accommodation + good amenities including Netflix and YouTube on the smart TV + on request, we were even kindly given the opportunity to charge our electric car (type 2 plug) at the in-house wallbox; charging card required, best from Vattenfall We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back! We booked the apartment "Hilde" for 3. Everything is available in terms of equipment. Katrin and Rainer have always been there for us. We had a small problem, but it was also eliminated directly. Great apartment, quietly located. GREAT !

Very good base for all kinds of walks. Apartment in small village where there are no shops and restaurants. All nearby in Münstermaifeld, where we also went out for a delicious meal. We didn't actually need Thomas; only spoken at reception and departure, welcoming. Apartment was completely good for the 2 of us, did not use the extra room. Basic is provided. Just missing some more mood lighting: at the sofa a reading lamp(u)?!

A delightful little cottage with everything you need. Sabine and Andreas were very friendly and helpful hosts. The cottage is equipped with a lot of love for detail, everything you need is there. Highly recommend for two people with dog.

We stayed at the cabin for 2 nights and enjoyed it extremely much! The cabin is very cozy and if it rains and you sit in the warm hot tub yourself, you never want to get out😊! The bathroom is extremely high quality furnishings and we would have liked to have stayed longer. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin, surrounded by trees and hearing birdsong. Everything was clean and comfortable and was spacious enough for two people. Stephan was really friendly and gave us some nice local recommendations. One downside was the steep ladder-stairs to get to the bedroom; we knew about that in advance but the wooden bar at the top was not great . If you’re tall, it’s not so comfortable. We did some nice walks in the area, and enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the sun

We had three wonderful days in the cozy cottage and highly recommend our stay! Thomas was very friendly and accommodating and gave us many valuable tips on shops and attractions nearby. A highlight was the wood-burning fireplace, which created a great atmosphere on cold evenings. The location is also perfect – numerous shops and bakeries are nearby, and there are beautiful forests and hiking trails that invite exploration. I felt right at home in the cabin. It's perfect for a relaxing getaway. You have everything you need. If you need anything or have questions, Sonja and Mirco are always available and helpful. The surroundings are great for an extensive walk with a dog and the Holzbach Gorge is definitely worth a visit. Marla and I had a lovely time and look forward to visiting the little cabin again in the summer.

Very nice area for walking,. Nice company of the cats. Well enclosed garden for our dog. Friendly host. Everything was present in the cottage. In short, we had a great vacation!

The exchange with Eva via Airbnb chat went smoothly before and during the stay. She always gave timely answers when questions arose. If you love it simple and robust, this is the place to be. The wonderful wood-burning stove always gave me wonderful warmth during the 5 relatively cold days of the stay (Feb/March). The property has everything you need for everyday household chores. I especially enjoyed the silence of nature, the proximity to the animals and the extensive forests. Thank you for getting to know this magical place.
