The Hummingbird Beach House, Bequia

CynthiaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This place totally matched my dream house for a Bequia vaction (this was my second trip to Bequia, so I "get" the island's quiet, low-key charms.) A few steps from a quiet beach; private, beautifully landscaped grounds, yet in the middle of a friendly local community that kept a quiet and supportive watch over me. An easy half-hour walk into the bustle and vibe of town, yet a century away in ambience, recalling the classic vacation living of a bygone year. The house is an absolute classic, beautifully furnished with tasteful furniture (gorgeous antique beds!), easy care surfaces, and a sweeping veranda for eating and lounging...and yes, the hummingbirds are for real. This is not a house for those who demand high-tech facilities. No microwave or dishwasher; simple, functional double beds, adequate but not state-of-the-art internet. But for those who treasure "real" island life, the intentional simplicity is a plus, not a minus. Can't wait to go back!

Ohana House | 1 Bedroom Beachview Apartment w/Pool

ManuellaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My husband , my 8 year old daughter and myself just had an amazing week at Ohana house. So worth what you pay for. It is stunning , well decorated with everything you need . The special attentions from the complimentary ride from the ferry, to the basic food in the fridge were so appreciated. We happen to stay while no one was there that week but there is only 3 units and there is plenty of privacy. The location was the best, still walkable to the beaches , and the board walks to town are so cool, plus it’s so fun to take an open taxi cab home . We just loved about everything on the island except the food at the store , well you have to want to be creative, it’s pricey and very mediocre, however there is a lot of restaurants to try. Finally the locals are absolutely wonderful, never felt unsafe or not welcome anywhere. We want to come back with friends for sure. Thank you Alexa for your assistance and for running such a special air b and b . This place is a 10 … Manuella P

Sandrati Villa – A Modern Luxury Escape in Bequia

OritseweyinmiRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Sandrati villa, was home away from home. The host was very accommodating by allowing us to check in at an earlier time. We were welcomed by the housekeeper who was very lovely and helpful. The view from the top floor was stunning and the apartment itself was beautiful and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with all the amenities needed in a modern kitchen. The apartment manager was also nice and helped us with all we needed. Overall, our time here was peaceful and very relaxing, we will definitely be visiting again.

Spring Beach Villa

MarkRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The villa was as described and just perfect for what we wanted. The hosts facilitated a last minute early check-in due to flight changes and were responsive to messages prior to our arrival. Taxi rides to the town are very reasonable at 25ECD each way. There's some great walks from the property and the Firefly estate is only a 2 minute walk for drinks and food if you don't fancy cooking. The property is in a quiet peaceful location yet only a short 5 minute taxi ride away to the town and nearby beaches. We enjoyed our stay, would recommend to others and would stay again!

Grenadines: Stay at sea for a Unique Experience

ThomasinaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Finding as unique an AirBnb as Christine’s meant I had high expectations of my stay and they were surpassed. Era was a home from home without the work. Christine & Roux were truly wonderful hosts who were very easy to be with. I needed rest and I was able to get that. They kept me well fed and watered and their local knowledge and sharing of stories has made it a truly memorable experience. Visiting beautiful spots with them, spending time in the sea and exploring Bequia has made for a completely unique first experience of the Caribbean. I would love to come back and spend another adventure with them.

Crescent Beach House - Pool Suite

ThomasRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Outstanding views and beautiful location!!! It was so quiet and remote which was exactly what we were looking for. Pretty much everything we needed was available in terms of a comfortable stay. The swimming pool located basically in the middle of the living space was spectacular! Morning coffee watching the sea turtles in the cove was such a delight. We rented a car from Deborah at Affordable Jeep which made our island stay excellent- plus I'm not sure how well we would have managed in the torrential rain storm without Deborah's service the night we arrived. Only negative, which isn't a reflection on the place but rather something to understand, there is no escape from hot muggy weather except to the air conditioned bedroom. We had 5 days of pretty warm and humid weather, which was fine, but the living spaces and kitchen are definitely "al fresco". We loved it, but be warned if the private outdoors (and all that comes with that) is not your thing. I'd love to come back!!
A serene pool area is surrounded by lush greenery and natural stone walls. Sunlight reflects off the water's surface, and the outdoor space features wooden beams and open doors leading into the main living area, creating a seamless flow between indoors and outdoors.

Ermina's Villa/2 Bedroom

KezzishaRating, 5 stars85 months ago
This was literally the best place I have ever stayed at. It was much more than I expected much bigger also. The beds were comfortable and the view at night time was breathtaking. The kitchen was well furnished which was amazing. The bathroom (something I look at before saying anywhere) was just too cute. Each room was bigger than it looked form the pictures and at night time it was cool and relaxing. I already recommended this place to my friends and I am thinking of another vacation already so that I can stay at Lee's home.If your looking for something up to date with style and modern with a fantastic view this is the place for you. A quick tip.. Lee's response back to your questions or concerns while staying are incredibly fast.

A Place In The Sun, Apt 1

EthelRating, 5 stars1 month ago
There are the most beautiful views and nice breeze on the terrace. We walked everywhere, takes 5 min down to the best beach on the island; 10 min to come back up since it's a little climb up to the hill :) The walk to the town and port was about 40 min along the beach, but it's such a beautiful walk, it doesn't even feel that long. Anyway, our favorite area ended up being Lower Bay Beach within 5 min walk from the apartment, with little bars and restaurants; and the most beautiful water and views. So overall great location, and secluded for privacy. The only minus was no AC, but due to the constant breeze it was ok. Would definitely stay again.
A sunlit private balcony overlooks the ocean and distant islands. A reclining lounge chair is occupied by a person reading, with a green and white striped towel draped over the nearby chair. The clear blue sky and gentle waves create a serene backdrop.

Calming

JamesRating, 5 stars29 months ago
Calmando is a fabulous place to relax while listening to the waves crash on the ocean below while staring at the stars on the pitch-black nights. While Bequia is quiet in general, Calmando is located on the other side of the mountain from the main town of Port Elizabeth making it even more quiet and private. We heard nothing but the singing of the gecko's and the waves at night. The host on the island, Edwin, was great. He answered all of our questions and was there to meet us at the dock despite our constantly evolving travel plans (airline delays, missed ferries etc.). My wife and I have stayed in AirBnb's all over the world and this villa had one of the best-stocked kitchens we have ever experienced. Nothing was missing. The internet was fast and reliable contrary to the previous negative review. We would 100% stay at Calmando again.

Belinda was a great host! She was very communicative throughout our stay. The space was wonderful and exactly as pictured. We were able to go out to eat at different places all within walking distance as well as go to the beach. Only thing worth mentioning is that the bathrooms did not have doors which may affect privacy for larger groups.
The exterior of a yellow villa is surrounded by lush greenery and sandy ground. A white picket fence frames the property, with a deck area that features outdoor seating. Large arched windows allow natural light to enter the interior, enhancing the connection to the outdoor surroundings.

Casa Rosaline Beach Villa, on the beach, breezy

GrahamRating, 5 stars26 months ago
The property has a couple of steps down from it and you are onto the beach at the far end of Lower Bay. It is the perfect location for a quiet beach holiday, right by the sea, away from any modern developments. Lower Bay is probably the nicest bit beach on Bequia with beautiful light sands, turquoise seas and palms just beyond the porch. There are several fine local Caribbean restaurant / bars along the beach (De Reef, Keegans), and up in the hills just above the bay (Dawn's, Fernandoes). The property is a typical local house in a good area of Bequia, with some modern equipment in the kitchen, Wi-Fi and A/C's to the two bedrooms, which all worked out fine. The porch has good loungers and looks out to the beach beyond palms.
