Vacation rentals with lake access in Bayou Teche

This was the perfect home for our family to enjoy Thanksgiving together with our college student and his friends. The house had everything we needed and more. Down to the fine details of first aid kit (came in handy 😬) well stocked bathrooms with all the amenities and toiletries you could think of. Plenty of pillows, blankets, firewood with stuff to make s’mores. And a lovely snack/welcome basket. I highly recommend any property Thomas has available as this was our second time renting with him and will not be our last. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy a home away from home.

We loved staying on the bayou! It was fun to look out at the water at the birds. The cottage was in a great location to tour sites such as Avery Island, Jefferson Island, Lafayette, and surrounding towns. The cottage was cozy and a great place to kick back and relax.

My family came in town for Christmas and the property was perfect for our gathering…. It was located in a good area and the view was so peaceful

Toni’s place was warm and cozy, as we were stuck inside during a once in a lifetime snowstorm. My family would love to go back and fish and hang out on the deck as orig planned!

Mr. Winston's place was great! It came as a recommendation from a friend of ours and it was a great recommendation. Nice quiet location with a scenic view of the bayou. You are about 4 minutes outside of the main part of Pierre Part. His cottage is spacious with everything that you need. We willl definitely be returning.

We stayed here to attend a LSU football game. It's about a 40-minute casual walk and a 25-minute power walk. We took an Uber/Lyft for $5 to a local Sports Bar which was halfway and just walked 10 minutes which was perfect. The inside of the place was better than described. The kitchen was well stocked and there was even a blender. The downside is that the "subdivision" is home to many different apartment buildings by different owners and they are not as well kept as this place and the people looked a bit sketchy. I was nervous about my car being parked there but I experienced no issues at all. The actual building has been totally remodeled inside and out and it looks better than the Google Maps picture. Strictly based on location this was great because we avoided traffic as many streets are blocked off as game time approaches. We were safe and our cars were safe. It took us 70 minutes to get to the New Orleans airport on a Sunday and it was an easy drive with no traffic.

Traveled here with my family and would absolutely stay again! Upon arrival, we noticed an issue with the hvac. Brayden quickly had a tech out and the system was working properly by the time we got back that evening. Couldn’t ask for a better host and great service for an unforeseen circumstance in our situation!

James was very responsive. Check in/check out instructions were very clear. The apartment is recently renovated, furniture, including beds, were new, unit was very clean, and fit our needs.

James place was great! Close to LSU, safe, and private. We enjoyed the nearly new bedding and furniture. We definitely will stay again!

This was a lovely home, very clean and host provided all the essentials for our stay. It was a bit different to find the unit so be sure to pay attention to the host’s directions. I had to call her back a few times because we got a bit lost. This was one of the most lovely and inviting places I have stayed at so far. It is very close to LSU if you are in town visiting students. The area is lovely!

Our family enjoyed our stay. Very spacious, relaxing , private and comfortable. Steve was very responsive to any messages.

Laura was very pleasant and responded quickly to all of my questions. She went to check out the rental before we arrived to make sure everything was in order. Enjoyed communicating with her.

Great place to stay for us and our big dog. Did a lot of walking and exploring, looking for wildlife. did a lot of birding - it was awesome. there's a marsh behind the house and a bayou across the road in front. saw some gators and beavers paddling around. we also visited the state park just down the road. nice boardwalk and of course more birding and beavers. Did not get to see black bears. Maybe next time. Had everything we needed. got to watch a storm roll in over the bay. Really enjoyed our stay. Will happily return and highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our friends stay at this quaint, cozy, clean camp on False River. The sunrises and sunsets were fabulous and sitting around the fire pit was so relaxing! Would definitely return! Thanks for making us feel welcomed and the fine hospitality!

We live in Baton Rouge and we were having some renovation work done on our home. So we were familiar with the many lovely neighborhoods in town and near LSU campus. We decided to try staying in a gorgeous neighborhood we have always admired right off the LSU Lakes which is nearly on campus. The tree lined road is so charming and cozy with beautiful homes up and down the street. The porch invites you up into a beautifully renovated 3 bedroom house with a great dining room and kitchen and laundry room. There is a bonus sunroom for morning coffee or one of a few tables and chairs set up on the back deck, another in the garden and a fire pit with chairs welcoming an evening barbecue (grill provided). It’s a restful retreat and even had blackout curtains (which we shamelessly took advantage). Our hosts were wonderful and very responsive to every question we had which were few. A three ring binder and local guide book and house directions was in the living room. Highly recommend.

We loved the peacefulness and the tranquillity of the place. It was the perfect place to come home to after a hectic day. My sister being from up north was thrilled to see the local wild life. We will definitely be back!!

Kelly was a wonderful Host! Her quiet hideaway was beautifully landscaped! She thought about everything detail and the outdoor fireplace was perfect to have coffee on our chilly mornings ☀️ I would highly recommend staying here to enjoy all the beautiful views and nature! Thank you again, Kelly!

My sister lives near Livonia & has stayed at Claire’s place a couple times. She recommended it to my daughter & I. So when we drove from Florida for a short stay to celebrate Thanksgiving, we decided to stay here. Claire was willing to allow us early check-in & late check-out. Upon our early arrival, her cleaning lady was finishing up getting the place ready & came out to greet us. She was very welcoming & took the time to give us a tour of the place, as well as offering some suggestions & recommendations of the area, etc. Upon chatting with her, Claire stopped by briefly to drop something off & we were lucky enough to get the chance to meet her. She was just as great as my sister said she was! The house was perfect & had everything we could have needed! The deck & dock were a great touch! Over all, Claire’s place exceeded all of our expectations & we’ll definitely be staying there the next time we’re in town! Thanks Again Claire! 💜💜
