Vacation rentals with a kayak in Bay Islands Department

The Living Waters home is incredible. Walk in the front door and the ocean is right in front of you. Daysi met us at the airport, directed us to Eldon's so we could stock up (get everything you think you'll need, we didn't find other stores on the island with similar selections and its 1 hour from the house). We had Dulce, helped by her daughter, cook a number of meals for us. They were a delight and food was great. If you don't have a car you can get to a few places. Go to Cliffsides for dinner. Camp Bay Lodge is a few places down, everything we ate there was very good. Still I'd recommend getting a car so you can explore the entire island, for activities and local restaurants. A lot of people love the east end of the island because it's remote, but do prepare for some very rough dirt roads. Going even 5 miles on the east end of the island might take 30+ minutes. Everyone uses "whatapp" to communicate, so get it before you go. We loved Roatan, super friendly people.

The house is much nicer than what the photos show. It's super comfortable, cozy, the maritime style decor is perfect. The back gallery has a mosquito net that allows you to enjoy breakfasts and meals without being bothered by mosquitoes. The complex's pool is wonderful, with a waterfall and a small Jacuzzi upstairs. Across the road is the beach with sun loungers and other amenities. The hosts were always attentive to our comfort. It's very close to Sandy Bay, West Bay and West End. We were delighted with Roatan and the Magnolia house. We will definitely repeat because it is magical.

Luke is a great!!!. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. He not only sent a driver to pick us up from the airport, but he also kept an eye on my flight (I wasn’t sure I was going to make the connection to Roatan). The tv in the living room went out, so Luke went and bought a brand new one. Although Checkout was kind of early 10am, He offered to store our luggage for as long as we needed. The house is as described in the photos and very spacious! Luke is warm and friendly. Overall great host and I highly recommend staying at his place!

Having stayed 5 dif places between Roatan and Belize - this house was our favorite. The cleanest, and no bugs in the house at all! The kayak and paddle boards were great fun , reef is right out front. Able to kayak through mangroves , the deck over the water was our favorite place to hang out - coffee up there in the am, and amazing sunsets at night. Brian the groundskeeper/ maintenance guy was there must days , very kind and helpful, brought us bait for fishing , cocanut bread for eating, and just a real nice helpful guy - would absolutely stay here again . Hosts were super responsive , full of suggestions for outings etc- did I say how clean and bug free the house was??👍👍

Overall stay was great! Amazing deck, stellar view (especially sunset) & good location- not touristy but not isolated. Good communication from prop. mgnt. Beach is too shallow to swim from shore -bring water shoes to walk to deeper water. It's a local neighborhood so can occasionally be lots of dogs barking (2 hours 1 night-earplugs would have been nice). For hot water in shower, turn handle clockwise. After 3-5 minutes of running hot, it will turn very very cold for just a bit, then gets hot again. 2 great bars/restaurants and a dive shop within easy walking. Electric costs: We were there 7 nights. Used AC in 1 bedroom 4 nights all night long, plus 2nd bedroom for a few hours on 2 nights. Our total electric bill was $32. Electric goes out often (lanterns are in house), but also means there is no water. Keep the water cooler bottle filled to use for backup. Had a local cell phone for us to use, plus sunscreen, bug spray, lots of spices. Books, games & local info there too.

Overall, Treetops was amazing! It was nestled in a great spot and has amazing views! It was exactly as the photos and description listed. We enjoyed our time there so much and Hattie was super responsive. We ended up getting caught in Tropical Storm Sara and Hattie was super accommodating and responsive as we braved that storm. I have never met better hosts and I'm grateful for the hospitality and kindness that these hosts showed us, and I'm thankful they allowed us to stay in their home. Treetops is a magical place - the view of the ocean and how it's nestled in the jungle is breathtaking. You never know what creature you might see (or hear) and you have a clear view of the stars at night if you want to take a look. The breezeways make it such a great layout as well! Anytime we needed anything, the hosts were very quick to respond and provide support.

Very good location, private beach, I really liked the stay, nice place to come with family and friends, 100% recommended, access is a little bad, small cars suffer when arriving at that stretch, but it's small

Our stay at Casa Caribe was great! The view is absolutely breathtaking. 180°+ view of the ocean. It is truly indescribable. the grounds are beautifully done and well-tended with tons of tropical plants and flowers. It was super easy to kayak out to the mangroves and to the reef for snorkeling which was a wonderful experience! The hospitality is top notch too. Chris was super communicative and gave wonderful suggestions for places to visit. He even made reservations for us to make it easier. Banuel is the caretaker and he is so wonderful. He is there for absolutely anything you need at all and he is truly happy to serve guests. He also has great knowledge of the island and tells great stories! They truly take all the stress out of the vacation by having everything you could want or need. And they are willing to get for you anything they may not have. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It was beautiful, restful, relaxing, and fun! If you are going to Roatan, this is the place to stay!

Perfect location for an out of the busyness of life retreat. Excellent access to our favorite dive shop at Marble Hill. Truly gracious, helpful, and caring hosts. And Daisy is an awesome dog! Will be happy to return, but will get a 4x4 to be ready for rain and muddy roads. Hosts provided both car and boat rides to take care of of our needs.

We absolutely loved our stay at Lara’s place. Lara was quick to answer all questions or concerns. Lenora was extremely helpful with whatever we needed. She is such a sweetheart and by the end felt like a friend. Both ladies go above and beyond to help you enjoy your trip. The house is exactly how it is described and shown in the pics, the wrap around porch is fantastic! The location was so quiet, very private and away from the tourists, but still close enough to West End and West Bay. It is a residential area and we actually loved feeling like part of the community, seeing the locals, walking to Ramirez for groceries (which was very well stocked) the people are just so friendly! The beach is more natural with some grass in the water, but it’s so warm and the reef is very close. We found the best snorkelling was down by the dolphin pen at Anthony’s Key. There is some friendly dogs and cats in the area that just add to the charm of the place. One of the best holidays we have had! ❤️

We really enjoyed our stay here and cant wait to come back. The setting is quiet, peaceful and truly a paradise. It is more beautiful than pictures can capture. Sarita and Kelly were available to help whenever we needed and checked in daily. We loved everything about it and felt we got a taste of the island we havent experienced anywhere else.

Beautiful resort in a great location. Our cabin had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. Paul was a great host and gave us great advice and recommendations for the island. We look forward to going back again soon!

Everyone (Miriam, Jon and Victor, to name but a few) taking care of the property and guests are polite, caring and simply wonderful. The cabin has everything a couple or single person needs and is absolutely homey and cozy. The location and proximity to the ocean are excellent, watching the dolphins learn there routines in the morning is very pleasant and the location in Sandy Bay is perfect to explore the West End and West Bay areas, the East towards Mud Hole and its a few minutes walking distance from the Blue Bahia with there own wonderful staff and great on location PADI 5 Star dive centre, The Sandy Bay Divers. We had a wonderful time and would definitely book this same location again. If we go with more people, the House on the other lot belongs to Miss Lucile as well and is a wonderful size for two couple and/or kids. Thank you for a wonderful experience in Roatán.

My husband and I spent 8 days at Turtle Beach and fell in love. Paul was so friendly and helpful…felt like we’d known him for years. Everyone was so welcoming, warm, and super helpful! All the arrangements for transport from the airport were made for us…no stress at all. The place is beautiful and the location is sublime. We never wanted to leave and are already planning a second stay. 😎 Go ahead and book it. You’ll absolutely love it!

The fact that Moana Divers is associated with this lodging is a stroke of luck. They are one of the very best dive shops I have had opportunity to dive with, and will definitely be back to dive with them, and stay here as well. The cabin was perfect for our family, and the cleaning was top notch every day. Really enjoyed our time in Roatan!

Rosalina and Sonny are amazing hosts! They picked us up from the airport and brought us back after our stay. This is above and beyond what many hosts do. The cabin had a clean and cozy feel. Very clean considering the sand and being right on the water. The kayaks were available to use, no fee. We had a lovely stay in paradise. It’s a beautiful location and private.
