Family-friendly vacation rentals in Barre Town

Ryan’s location was awesome! It’s great for a Stowe trip. Awesome location and the property is beautiful. I have used AIBNB 15-20 times, this was a really awesome experience. The property was clean and the log fireplace was great to light during a snow day. I will be back again, highly recommend- its a true 5/5 stars.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Stowe home in December. The standouts were the unparalleled kitchen with its appliances and tools available, the beautiful yard with its snowy tree/mountain views, the number of games and books, and the clean bedrooms. The drive into Stowe is really short and so nice to be a little distance away and have your own space. The kids (and even adults) so enjoyed the fresh snow, made a snowman, etc in the beautiful yard. We love to cook together on vacations, so having the well stocked clean kitchen / dining area and fireplace was so so cozy. The number of games and books available was also amazing! We took advantage of that as well. They also provide plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and laundry detergent so these little touches really made the stay even more relaxing. No worry about running out or washing towels during our slightly longer stay. We will definitely be back next time we are in Stowe.

Dean was very proactive with communicating about our stay and giving helpful tips on getting to his place. It was in a great location. His place was clean and spacious, with everything we needed. We had a great stay! Thanks Dean!

A truly special place. Our second time staying and it lived up to our memories. Great for large groups, kids, dogs... everyone. Fireplace and hot tub were definite highlights but there are comfortable seats and nooks everywhere. Will definitely be coming back again.

Great spot - even better than expected. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook whatever your heart desires. The house is spacious and the layout perfect for groups needing some space. There are two full bathrooms one on each floor. And we absolutely loved the wood fireplace with extra wood just steps from the back door. The complex is awesome with a wonderful pool and hot tub and we were especially grateful for the free shuttle that picked us up right outside and took us to k1 lodge. Alexandros was a great host and even worked with us when we accidentally booked the wrong weekend. We appreciated his flexibility and understanding. Looking forward to the next trip!

my wife and I stayed here and everything about our trip was amazing !! we loved the location, very secluded with amazing views, the house itself was clean and looked exactly like the pictures. Susan is an amazing host, she’s very friendly and responds well ((: highly recommend staying here !!

Five star host! Very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Perfect location, extremely close to Main Street, Stowe, yet very private. The house is spectacular! Best views in Stowe. Fun family room with big bright windows overlooking all of the surrounding mountains, fireplace, bar etc. I want to move there!!!

We had a fantastic stay here! So insanely beautiful, peaceful, quiet. The apartment is very charming and spacious. I do think its kind of silly Airbnb won't let them list the interior room as a bedroom. It is a large room and nice dark sleeping space. I really appreciate they allow dogs. We had no issues and really enjoyed out stay! We will be back.

For the price of a single hotel room in the center of Stowe, Brendan and Katie offer two bedrooms plus a full kitchen. You can catch the shuttle to the mountain only a few steps away, and there’s a ton of places to eat drink and shop within walking distance. Everything is exactly as described, and I’m sure I’ll be back!

The house was exactly as advertised. We travelled to Rochester as a family for a wedding. The house is spacious enough for 6 + adults with ample space so that any of us could find a place to have quiet time if needed. The hosts are very responsive and accommodating. We recommend Dan and Peggy’s house to anyone travelling in this beautiful part of Vermont.

Susan’s lake cottage was such a peaceful place for us to stay with our young baby and dog while in the area visiting family. The views are outstanding! Susan was responsive and accommodating. We’d definitely stay here again in the future, and we look forward to coming back in the warmer weather and checking out the causeway a little more - it’s so convenient to the cottage!

It's rare for me to sleep well in a new place, but it was easy to relax and sleep in Will's home. It felt like home. We appreciated that emergency and contact information were clearly posted in the kitchen. The Wifi worked well. Will was a friendly and caring host. I was able to get my holiday baking done in the kitchen. The oven and stove top worked very well. We had fun playing games with our grandchildren on the dining room table. We could relax and talk in the living room where there were also some toys for the kids. The shower worked really well and there was always hot water. The single beds are firm and close to the ground. The bed in the master bedroom is more cushioned. As you can see from the photos, there is a covered outdoor staircase leading to the second floor. In the winter just take your time and hold on to the railing. Will kept the driveway cleared. The location is fantastic; it is such an easy walk to anywhere you want to go to in downtown Montpelier.

This place is great! The pictures do not do a justice. This apartment is very open, lots of space! And the views of the mountains are incredible! Chad was very responsive and a great host! Would stay again!

Large and well-furnished space just minutes from Killington ski area! Erin was a great communicator and the property was beautiful. Great home base to explore the area in winter or summer.

We enjoyed this condo! It fit our group of 5 adults and a baby with no problem. The kitchen has a big table we all sat at for dinners and games. It was convenient to Killington, Woodstock and Rutland. Jonathan was great at communicating quickly, and sharing recommendations (Sugar & Spice was great!). Check-in and out was easy and Jonathan was accommodating with our early arrival/late check out requests. It felt clean and well taken care of. Would recommend!

This condo was perfect for a ski getaway. The location was perfect, shuttle was so helpful, and Scott was very responsive. 10/10 would reserve this condo again!

Kristin’s house is perfect for winter visit to Stowe. Spacious. Great bedrooms—-plenty of space to spread out and be comfortable and to stage for skiing every day! Cook in the kitchen — Be chill but super close to town great place to be for a week skiing in Stowe— We are very appreciative !! Can’t wait to come back Oh, and the hot tub is a nice touch after a long day of skiing Thanks Kristin!

Our family just stayed in Dana’s condo and we had a wonderful experience! The fireplace was a wonderful way to keep warm in the evenings and the balcony had stunning views of the area. The condo is located in a short distance from so many wonderful places to visit and eat. Dana was an excellent host and very responsive. It was a perfect getaway! We would highly recommended her place.

"It was a true pleasure staying at Matt’s place! The townhouse was spotless, perfectly located, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Matt was incredibly responsive and provided solutions with some schedule issues that we had and made our fist time at Stowe very enjoyable and our kids had and amazing ski time.
