The house in a very convenient spot, very close to the central city square. All of the city accessible on foot. The house was clean, everything tidy, with kitchen utensils, and everything necessary for a coffee or cooking for anyone who wants to. The owner was very kind, gave information about the area, cared if everything was okay, and I knew he would be available if anything comes up. Everything was very nice, excellent stay and good value for money. The interior of the house with interesting architecture of local stone and a well inside the bedroom. Everything was very beautiful. Because it was August there was a little noise from passers-by at night without being intrusive.

Marilena is hands down the best Airbnb host we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and cared for. The apartment was spotless and beautiful, but what truly stood out was her thoughtfulness. She had prepared snacks, local treats, and a full breakfast spread—fruit, pastries, juice, coffee—more than any host has ever done for us. Every detail felt personal and warm. Marilena went above and beyond in every way, always available with recommendations and tips, making sure we had everything we needed. She even checked in to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. Her kindness, hospitality, and attention to detail turned our stay in Matera into something truly unforgettable. We’ve traveled a lot, but no host has ever made us feel this at home. If you’re coming to Matera, don’t think twice—Marilena is the host you want. Thank you, Marilena, for making our trip so special. We had the most wonderful time at Giulia and Francesco’s. They were very communicative and helpful in planning our arrival. When we arrived we chose to pay for a home cooked meal by Giulia and it was BY FAR the best meal we had in our entire trip. It was just incredible. Her home made limoncello was also amazing! Thank you for a truly authentic stay, would highly recommend!

Giulianos cave house was a great base from which to explore Puglia. We had a great few nights here, cooked up a couple meals and enjoyed some very restful nights in the loft bed! The air conditioning and inherent coolness and quiet of the cave made it very easy to sleep. If you’re thinking of exploring this region, you’ll most likely need to rent a car. This house in particular is a bit difficult to park next to, but the answer is to park just a couple blocks away for free in the public square area of Corato. After discovering that, this house was perfect.

Amazing location, easy to get to. would recommend putting the address in google maps, not apple maps, as apple maps is less accurate in Matera's streets in general

Andreina's apartment is very well located close to the ancient city which is an incredible discovery! She was able to accommodate our arrival time, everything is clean and welcoming at her home!

I highly recommend this place, nicer than in the photo, super clean and easy to get to! The host, Raffaele, is very kind and is also always available to respond in a very short time! I'll definitely be back!

Everything was perfect! Great place to stay to visit Polignano A Mare and Bari.

Raffaella is the kindest and most helpful host I've ever met. She and her husband gave us great tips on hikes to do in the area. Her b&b is practically on the sea, very well furnished and with all the amenities you need on vacation. Good breakfast products. All the rooms were clean and impeccable, I hope to return to Raffaella's soon!

The apartment was fabulous - clean & spacious. Giuseppe was the best host - kind & responsive. The location was ideal - so close to everything. The terrace was even better than I’d expected! Sitting on the terrace eating our breakfast while looking out over the city was dreamy and a perfect start to our day!! Grazie mille, Giuseppe!! I 100% recommend you and your lovely home!!!

I just spent an unforgettable weekend in Matera, staying in a wonderful B&B immersed in the beautiful Murgia, and I can't wait to go back! The property, an ancient tannery expertly renovated, is a perfect balance between history and modern comfort. Every corner tells a story, with details that make you feel part of the tradition of this enchanting corner of Basilicata. The atmosphere you can breathe is unique, quiet and immersed in nature, a real retreat to regenerate. The room was cozy, elegant and equipped with every comfort, but what impressed me the most was the attention to detail and the harmony with the surrounding environment. Breakfast prepared with fresh ingredients and typical of the area, authentic flavors that make you appreciate the beauty of the area even more. The hospitality was impeccable, Martino was super helpful, always ready to offer advice on what to see and do nearby. I'll definitely be back in the summer.

Perfect spot to visit old Bari- convenient and close to the seafront, restaurants etc. Cristina was very helpful and made reservations for us, gave us info for the airport bus etc

What a beautiful place! We loved every minute, Patrizia made us feel right at home and we had the most peaceful, relaxing, and authentic Italian holiday. The breakfasts are the best we’ve ever had - an abundance of food, fresh and homemade. The rooms are large, luxurious and have everything you need. The pool area is stunning, nestled in and overlooking an olive grove. And the location is great, between Ceglie and Ostuni, with easy access to Alberobella, Polignano etc. What more could you want… Thank you Patrizia for a wonderful time!!!

We could not fault our stay at Antico Ulivo. The accommodation, pool and grounds were perfection. Giorgio was the perfect host, he couldn’t do enough for us during our stay and was so knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. We will be recommending Antico Ulivo to all of our family and friends and hope to return ourselves one day. Thank you Giorgio and team for the perfect end to our 4 week trip around Europe we fell in love with your B&B and Puglia in general.

Wonderful accommodation… we expected a room and bathroom and instead it was really nice and cozy… nothing was missing to make the most of our stay. The host also treated us like family, she was fabulous! Highly recommended for having a cozy and quiet place to relax after touring the enchanting surroundings.

Very clean, large apartment. Great location and quiet because outside the Trulli District, which we preferred. Easy walk to the Trulli Districts and parking was readily available. Vito is a super host.

Everything was just perfect! The trullo is beautiful and was equipped with everything we needed, the surrounding was perfect to relax, enjoy nature and it is also a great starting-point to explore cities, beaches etc. in the area by car. Christian and his family were perfect hosts who made us feel welcome, gave us great tips for day-trips and cooked us delicious vegan breakfast. All in all - a great experience that we would absolutely recommend.
