Villa vacation rentals in Barga

We had perfect time on Brian‘s villa. The house is so huge that first you can get lost, but later we orientated very well and felt like home. 9 bedrooms with bathrooms was more than enough for our big company. The view is breathtaking. You had so many places out and in villa, as terraces, kitchen and rooms to enjoy the breakfast and the dinner. The city of Lucca is 15 minutes by car, restaurants and wineries are also nearby. Big cities as Florence is 1,5 hour by car. Anyone could find what to do. But to be honest you don’t even want to leave the villa. For big companies it is a beautiful place in Tuscany, highly recommend. And the communication was easy with Brian and his family.

if someone is looking for a quiet and beautiful place, this is the place for you! We stayed at Villa sole mio for a week. The view is far-reaching and beautiful. The villas are a little remote meaning that you have to be mobile, but you get peace throughout the day. The location is ideally located geographically and you can reach Lucca,Pisa,Siena and Florence. You can also reach the sea within 45 minutes. Ideal to visit cities in the morning and enjoy the fantastic pool with the view in the afternoon. Our host, Martina was very friendly and always helpful. The employees who work on the property are also very friendly and keep the complex in good shape. What should be mentioned is the access road to the villa. You can only reach the villas by a narrow one-lane pebble path of about 400 m long. A sports car or a lowered vehicle is not recommended. I can only recommend Villa sole mio. Would go there again immediately.

I have so much positive to say about this place! Despite what some reviews mention about the drive, it's absolutely worth it. There's a small restaurant just 2-3 minutes away, easy access to the city, and you're only about an hour from Pisa and some beaches. The house was perfect—everything well thought out and worth every penny. The pool was amazing, and the host was very responsive. If you're visiting in autumn or spring, bring warm clothes for the chilly evenings. We were sad to leave, and I can't wait to come back to this dreamy property!

This villa was something out of a dream. Stefania was so lovely and wonderful with recommendations and booking us a rez at a fantastic local gem of a restaurant. The views were incredible and the atmosphere was so relaxing. The villa itself was cozy and inviting. The outside seating area was well used by us for nightcaps, dinner and conversations about falling in love with Tuscany and all it's amazing nooks and crannies. We wanted a picturesque and home-like central base for our 10 day adventure in Italy and we're delighted with the accommodations that really was like something out of a movie. Lucca was only a short drive away and offered the best grocery store-Esselunga! Thank you Stefania for your warm generosity, kindness and suggestions. This was a birthday trip that we will never forget and cemented our longing to return soon!

We took our family to Barga for the first time. There were 9 of us, ranging from 6 months to 70 years old. The villa swallowed us easily, plenty of space and privacy for everyone. Eleonora and Daniela were very responsive during the booking period, and when we arrived everything was exactly as expected. It's a beautiful place, the views and setting are magnificent, and it really is no more than 10 minutes walk in to the old town of Barga. The welcome pack included local cheese, a traditional cake, wine, oil, bread and was much appreciated! Despite some appalling weather, we made lovely pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven, and enjoyed some (coolish) swimming in the large clean pool - this was early October. Excellent range of restaurants in old and new Barga. 45 mins to Lucca, 1 hour from Pisa - and the caves at Grotta del Vento are definitely worth a visit - especially if it's raining! Overall, we had a brilliant time. Highly recommended.

We were welcomed by the host herself in this wonderful charming and peaceful villa. Perfectly maintained and great pool for the kids. Beautiful garden with lots of fresh herbs to cook with.

It was a very very peaceful and beautiful home to stay in with a rich history and gorgeous surroundings ! Livia was a gracious host and Giuseppe was wonderful to work with ! It was a very steep hill to trek to the top ..but if you’re looking for a remote and quite Italian country side expeirience it was absolutely beautiful!

We stayed with Marco with our 3 children and it was super relaxing and especially because of the fantastic pool a particularly nice holiday. The house is very spacious, the garden is large. The area is very varied and beautiful, the location is great. The supermarket is within walking distance, the small village center very cozy and typical. You can drive 5 minutes to the beach. Marco is a very friendly and accommodating host.

Paolo was amazing! He was so helpful and responsive. The villa was even more impressive in person. Highly recommend staying here! Beautiful city. Do an olive oil tour / tasting if you can. Enjoy a sunset under the Tuscan sun!

This house fully lives up to the photos and it is an amazing place with a wonderful pool in a perfect location not too far from Florence. We stayed with 6 people and enjoyed every bit of it. We felt very welcome and everything went very smooth our whole stay! Would love to go back :)

Review for house- do you think ok? What an amazing and special home! Thank you to Leonardo and his mum for looking after us all so well during our stay (including Etta our dog) and for bringing us some wonderful local homemade dishes. Leonardo could not have been more helpful and gave us lots of local recommendations. Staying in such an historical building was an experience in itself and the views from the house were spectacular in all weathers- and we had a big mix of weather- sun, rain and storms. The outside spaces were perfect for having drinks and watching the sunset. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub and dined in the spectacular dining area outside. Leonardo helped arrange a pasta making class with Alessandra which was a great experience for all of our group. The area is very beautiful, with forest walks, and fantastic views of the mountains and vineyards and huge chestnut trees. We visited some beautiful towns nearby. Thank you for an unforgettable holiday!

This villa up in the mountains is easily one of the best that my family and I have stayed at. There are amazing views of the village of Buti in the valley below and Tuscan landscape further out and hiking trails surround the area. The house and grounds are impeccably decorated and maintained. Though the building looked 100+ years old, it felt very modern and comfortable for city dwellers like us. Melissa, the lady that helped us check-in/check-out, was very friendly and delivered the wife's left-behind wallet to us after we checked out.

Lovely villa and perfectly set up for several families vacationing together. The views were stunning and we loved that we were away from the city centre. The pool is a real stand out feature and having it on a separate level and gated was very helpful with little ones running around the property. Hosts were incredibly clear with instructions and their communication was always friendly and quick. Highly recommend!

We were an overall company of 11 guests and everyone agrees that a better host doesn't exist. The place is even better than the photos, and a place we'd love to go back - top recommendations from here.

Villa Vittoria is the ideal mix of tranquility and comfort, just minutes from Lucca. The interiors are spacious, well heated and welcoming, perfect for relaxing after a day out. The covered patio allows you to enjoy the view even on cooler days. It would be nice to be able to go back in the summer to enjoy the park and the beautiful swimming pool. A perfect place for a getaway in Tuscany!

Very nice house located in a quiet area. There were 12 of us including 5 children and 2 teenagers and everyone enjoyed the beautiful pool and garden. There was a playroom for the kids. Claudio was very available and kind when we had any questions. Thanks to him also for his advice

Everything was exactly as described and shown. Communication with Franco and his father went smoothly. The house may not be easy to find; we were picked up at a meeting point, which made many things easier. With large, bulky cars, the route was not easy to drive, but doable. The amenities were great, a small oven was available, it could have been a little bigger. In one bathroom, the shower and toilet are opposite each other and after the shower, half the bathroom is very wet. But it was no problem for us. The pool and grounds are wonderful! We had a wonderfully relaxing vacation at Franco's and find that the price-performance ratio was right. We can recommend Franco's house in good conscience and hopefully have the opportunity to come back again!

Overall, we were very satisfied with the Airbnb. Check-in and check-out were very straightforward and Eugenia was very helpful!

Perfect fit for our group of 8. Extremely spacious gorgeous villa just west of Lucca and close to several small wineries. We may have been the first to rent as it appeared to be recently renovated. The Gardner on site Luigi was extremely helpful in troubleshooting some minor issues we had after check in. Plenty of room, spacious outdoor area set on several beautiful acres. Would definitely stay again. Perfect location to relax or explore some of the surrounding cities and sites in Tuscany.

We were 9 people who lived in the house and enjoyed our stay! The house was very clean and has good air conditioning on the upper floor. The highlight is definitely the great pool where our kids had a lot of fun! The house has a great location to explore the beautiful Tuscany (Lucca, Pisa, Florence, 5Terre,...). The infrastructure in the village offers everything you need and the landlady was always available for questions and very helpful. Thank you!!!

This is a beautiful home in a gorgeous location! The hosts - Lorenzo and Bernadette - were so helpful. They greeted us and took us up the hill to the house. They left fresh fruit, snacks and the basics for cooking. Waking up to the view cannot be described. You have to see it for yourself! Don’t be turned off by other comments about the driveway. Lorenzo takes you up the first time and it’s easy from there! Keep it in 1st :)
