Never felt so relaxed. Great place to unwind and hike. We walked up to Prugno for lunch, two amazing spots with great food. the area also has amazing history and I love the mountain with the hole-in-the-cliff view. Very cozy place and comfortable for a couple. truly spectacular setting

The Blue Door House

MattRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Beautiful, cozy, cabin-like room in a rustic, and time-worn mountain village in the Tuscan backcountry! If you want an escape from city life or the madness of tourists at all the usual hot spots, this is a can’t miss place to stay! Expect breathtaking views all around, and the complete serenity of the wild. Monica is a very kind and helpful host, and if you want a place to retreat for a few nights, make sure to come here 👍 A few notes to be aware of: 1) you probably want to be a confident driver for getting here - the roads are tight and after dark you definitely want to have your wits about you for driving in this area! 2) prepare to have to drive if you want to “eat out.” Otherwise, treat it like a cabin / cottage stay and prepare to bring your own supplies / goods for cooking throughout your stay. 3) if you have mobility challenges this might not be an ideal location, since there’s a fair amount of climbing & walking required from parking to Monica’s place. Thanks Monica!

Villa Le Silerchie

UlrikeRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We were there with two families/4 days - in October, which is unfortunately more the usual rainy season in Tuscany. Nevertheless, we always had pleasantly mild temperatures, even sunny days, and a great vacation. The house is just wonderful, there is just nothing missing! After the sauna, we were also able to use the pool well, and for us "northern lights" the temperatures were summery and perfect for excursions (so not too hot ). The location is totally idyllic and ideal for excursions to Lucca, Pisa, Pietrasanta but also to smaller mountain villages in the vicinity (Metato, etc.).

Villa Fenice Country House w/jacuzzi, patio, wi-fi

TeresaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I nearly cried when I left Villa Fenice. Anya, Marianna and Simona worked together to make this an amazing experience. Fatty, the resident (outdoor) cat was a balm for the soul as we are grieving the loss of our cats. Despite more than usual rainfall, we enjoyed every minute in this area. The hot tub was being fickle, but the ladies worked quickly to rectify the issue. We had an assist with the linens (as we had a long stay.) We were welcomed with a bottle of rose and snacks. More amenities than you can imagine. Well stocked kitchen. Everything was perfection. It is by far, the BEST airbnb experience I've ever had. The only thing to be prepared for are that the bedrooms are small. Two of them worked well for two people, but the double bed rooms might be too small for two adults. The surrounding area was charming. The food recommendations were great! We can't recommend Villa Fenice enough. I could live here. And we can't thank Anya, Simona and Marianna enough.

Casa ai Castagni Apartment "Le Rose"

FrederikaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our stay in Volegno was amazing. The appartement is wonderful, big kitchen, comfortable living area with a fire place, and the view is spectacular! High up in the mountains with a pretty view on the close village of Pruno, where you can eat and buy the most essential things. The nature there is lovely, we went on different hiking trips and discovered the area a bit, very nice place to calm down and relax. Even when it rained a lot it was nice to sit inside, make a fire and watch the clouds pass over the top of the mountains. We can highly recommend a stay here!

Serenella

The house is very secluded and private in a small cute village on the top of the hill. The view of the valley is beautiful and the village even has some world war history Ilaria can tell you about. The garden is beautiful and very well kept bij Ilaria. Unfortunately the weather was not great in our case but we could still enjoy it a bit (end of september). All in all we had a wonderful stay, thank you very much!
