Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Badin Lake

Heaven Hill lives up to its name. It was a beautiful and peaceful place to spend a couple of days. It has everything you could need for a get away. The house is cute and clean. My mom loved the view of the water and a comfortable place to sit and read a book. My daughter loved the TV in her bedroom and the comfy bedding. And my son enjoyed having a man cave (downstairs) to himself and being able to sit on the dock. We played trivia in the living room, made waffles at the breakfast bar, and played cards at night on the downstairs porch. When I accidentally locked us out of the house, our hosts were quick to respond and help us get back in. Their responsiveness saved our one day in town to go antique shopping and to get some great burgers. The only concern we had for our stay is the steep incline of the driveway/stairs. We parked on the main road and had to lug everything down to the house. My mom is 78 and that was a bit much for her. Other than the driveway, it was a perfect 10.

We hosted our 40-person wedding at this house and it was absolutely perfect! Great size living room for dessert reception on Friday evening, perfect space in the backyard for the ceremony, cocktail hour, family photos, dinner under the event space and dancing in the driveway, and brunch on Sunday. The ladies got ready in the master bathroom downstairs and the men in the bathroom upstairs. Hosted the backyard wedding of my dreams and made additional memories by being able to stay for the extended weekend in the house with our families.

Easy drive to NC Zoo and not far from grocery stores and restaurants Our kids are apprehensive with dogs, but they loved Rocko!!!

If I could rate Gene and Connie's place higher than 5 stars, I would! My husband and I have stayed at several Airbnbs, and this was the BEST, by far. It was the perfect spot for peace and relaxation. The surroundings were magical!

One of the cutest, well decorated Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at! Very convenient location for our plans, while not being in the city itself. The lights are all a nice touch, the actual ceiling fixtures are dimmable and you can modify the color temperature for your preferences! Everything you need for a comfortable stay away from home and I would definitely be happy staying there again!

Been there quite a few times and never disappointed. Brian and his wife are very great hosts. Beautiful stay at the lake with plenty of wildlife and nature to take in. We will definitely be back!

This place looked like the photos, absolutely breathtaking. Our host Jim was very welcoming and kind! The house was clean and the place was extremely peaceful and quiet. The surrounding woods were perfect for hiking. I loved the pool table and hot tub most of all!
