My family and I had amazing time celebrating our birthdays at Jon’s cabin. Not only was the cabin prefect, Jon was very helpful with check in and all the help we needed during our stay. Time to time check ins during our stay was also very thoughtful and helpful. It was perfect place for our family and we felt right at home.

Driving up the road to the place was a little different especially at night. But we did get used to it. The nest was beautifully appointed with great decorations that made you feel like you were in a cabin. The place was outstanding, one of the better hosts that I’ve ever had interaction with. A few things that I would add to the property but all in all everything that you really need. The Wi-Fi was a little spotty as I was trying to do some work. Great location in Maggie Valley so close to so many things. If you definitely want to be up in the mountains with outstanding views, this is the place for you. The newly added outdoor fireplace was great to have.

We really enjoyed our stay—it felt like we were vat a friend’s house. Super cozy and welcoming. The bed, sheets, and pillows were honestly more comfortable than what I have at home! Only downside was the tight driveway—it was a little tricky to get in and out of, especially with a rental truck I wasn’t used to driving.

Beautiful cabin and great location. Our family enjoyed our stay and the cabin had everything we needed. We were delighted to find a lovely Christmas tree in the living room. Nice back porch with mountain views. Comfortable beds. We were able to easily travel to many activities and day trips - Asheville, Gatlinburg, Smoky Mountain National Park, Downtown Waynesville, and just a short drive down the mountain to visit Winchester Creek Farm. We hope to be back!

Marisa’s house is a beautiful cabin that was worth every penny. It is convenient to Brevard and the Pisgah Forest for the fishing and outdoor enthusiast. Marisa was very accommodating to my group and was prompt to responding to messages. The house was clean and lacked no amenities. The kitchen was well furnished with pots, pans, etc. and linens were plentiful. I would recommend Marisa’s place for anyone hoping to get away and stay in a beautiful part of North Carolina.

There really are no words to describe how much we enjoyed our stay. For our family of 6, and our 2 doggies, we were looking for a large space in a beautiful and peaceful setting to enjoy the holidays together. We are all so busy and run in different directions, and we thought this would be a great way to have a captive Christmas for everyone to enjoy time together! We were right! The owner has the house decorated perfectly for Christmas, and the basement level was perfect for our 3 grown boys to play video games and bond together! Grandma enjoyed the large tv with the giant window overlooking the mountain and lake - and mom & dad (us) enjoyed the master bedroom & bath with a balcony overlooking the mountain and lake. It was perfect, like Switzerland, but only 2 hours from home! We have treasured memories of our trip!

My wife and I wanted to have a little get away for our 6 year anniversary, and we’re so glad we chose Julie’s place. It was super pretty inside and out, it was in a very quiet and relaxing area. Not only that but the view of the mountains and landscape from the sunroom, as well as the patio was absolutely gorgeous. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the tub, and how relaxing it was to soak in it. I loved most how Julie is dog friendly and our furry child loved running around in the dog yard. We are most definitely going to be planning to return again soon. Wow, what a great place! One for your bucket list. Amazing view of the mountains, very peaceful and calm. I loved the hot tub and the fire pit. Great attention to detail throughout the home. The outside decks are a great way to enjoy the sun and relax. one of best parts of the home is the high ceilings and windows. It really opens the place up and brings in lots of natural light. The hosts were amazing to talk with and very responsive. I now have a great place to stay in the mountains!
