Family-friendly vacation rentals in Auburn

It's a special spot to be able to stay right on the lake. Enjoyed that there were chairs on upper porch and right on the water too. Two parking spots right down by the house. Loved walking our dog across the road on the trail that runs parallel to water and main road. Really comfy living room dining area.

This was exactly what we wanted and more. Diane has the perfect place to recharge in absolute peace. We went in the middle of winter and arrived with a fire going already. Perfect solitude but still close to places.

We had an amazing a relaxing stay. It was a wonderful weekend getaway and we greatly enjoyed the lakeside fire pit and hot tub. Zach was an awesome host, and we hope to be back to enjoy this beautiful space again. We are grateful to you for sharing your space, Zach!

David's house is a classic farmhouse with the comforts you need for a pleasant stay near the town of Ithaca as well and beautiful surrounding natural landscape. David is responsive and helpful, and the place is very comfortable for a family in different configurations. There is even a hot tub!

Would recommend for a peaceful, cozy getaway!!

The location was perfect to attend a wedding at Fountainbleu Inn (just a short walk to venue). Also, the location next to lake was wonderful. We had plenty of bedrooms with linens/towels and extras like trash bags, paper towels, toiletries, dish soap etc was very nice. The kitchen had what we needed to cook for 10+ people, except crock pot and griddle (which we brought from home). We enjoyed the hot tub and used the propane grill on the large deck. The owner stays close by and was in communication often.

Beautiful home and location. Laura was excellent to deal with and always responsive. First Airbnb I have ever stayed at and it was easy. Great location for shopping, dining and wineries.

The lodge is next level it had everything you could possibly need, attention to detail was on point. Matt and Kirsty were very helpful hosts and very friendly and the eggs and honey are something else. We would definitely recommend their lodge and one day hope to go back. Although it was minus 10 some days the lodge was never cold inside, very good heating they have.

We stayed at Christopher's while exploring the Fingerlakes region in the wintertime. It was warm and comfortable to come back to in the evening. I was easily able to make dinner with the kitchenware provided. Would definitely stay there if we are in the area again. The only thing I would mention is the WIFI connection seemed to be a little weak sometimes (we were able to stream a movie by keeping the phone in the kitchen and casting to the TV). Other than that, everything was great!

We needed a dog-friendly place for a weekend visiting our grandson and his parents! This was perfect. Cozy, functional, very comfortable, we actually spent most of our time in the apartment with them visiting us, in between baby naps! The big, bright kitchen made family meals comfortable and leisurely. We'll definitely plan to stay here again! Thank you, Katherine and Jia!

We had a wonderful stay! It was such a cool, unique experience and so much better than staying at a hotel. Our young kids absolutely loved it. Being able to go out on the farm and pick fresh raspberries , interact with the farm animals and pets, and walk around the beautiful property was more than we could have asked for. The place was cozy and felt like a modernized step back in time. Michele and Andy were so welcoming and friendly, we felt comfortable right away. We almost didn’t even need to go out and enjoy the surrounding area, the kids had more fun playing around the farm! Great location right off the wine trail and beautiful views right outside your door. Very convenient to many things. Would love to visit again!

We only spent a few nights but wish we could have stayed longer. The house met or exceeded every expectation we had. Catharine was friendly and responsive, even made sure we had arrived safely. I specifically chose this house because the views of the lake and this house did not disappoint. Spectacular! The house is extremely clean, well appointed, and Catharine even had holiday decorations throughout (we rented for a long weekend just before Christmas. So many tasting room options, local dining options, and things to do in the Seneca Lake area. Looking forward to a return visit to this or one of Catharine’s other rentals in this same area. You won’t regret renting this cottage!

I have stated multiple times at Sarah’s place. I travel to Ithaca often for work and it has become a home away from home. Very cozy apartment within walking distance of everything! What more could one ask for?!

A great outdoorsy and rustic place to stay. Clean with good vibes and relaxing views. Very friendly cats. Outdoor shower was clean with its own heater and had decent water pressure. At night small lights were blinking like fireflies so you could find your way with beautiful ambiance. I would certainly go again here.

I was really curious about this airbnb. My fiancée and I headed up to Ithaca for wedding stuff and we needed somewhere pet friendly, private, and not too far from town/our venue. It was very cozy, extremely spacious. There were board games but we loved using the hula hoop and the extra space for silly dancing. We have to come back to Ithaca for more wedding things in a few months…hopefully we can book again, bring friends, use the fire pit, and just lounge around.

Gratitude and Grace is an escape from the ordinary. Its a beautiful unique property in the country that was just about perfect for me and 7 bridesmaids for my low key Bachelorette. The grounds are lovely and well maintained, as it is normally a wedding venue. The inside of the mansion is eclectic and vintage. Ron is very nice and accommodating as well. Some things i may improve: Soap was watered down in all bathrooms Beds werent exactly comfortable, they seemed very old. Hot tub was just nice, It didnt get very hot though and the water was a bit cloudy The most comfortable bed is in the tiny rennovated garden shed. Although peaceful, we did have to request it be opened so we had the 8th bed as advertised. 2 girls had to bunk up together the 1st night, no big deal but would have been nice to know the 8th bed wasnt automatically available. The 7th bed is a fun loft with a ladder above a king sized bed. It was cute, but the bed was very uncomfortable so no one wanted it.

We loved this place!! There was so many amenities that we weren’t able to use because we weren’t in the house a ton as we were in a wedding, but boy did we miss out on them! We had a perfect stay and would absolutely stay again if we were ever in the area again. No complaints at all!

A great rustic getaway! It was great being between cayuga and seneca lakes - everything was a 20 min drive to see beautiful falls in every direction, great wineries/cideries (finger lakes cider house had amazing food to go with the cider), great restaurants (stonecat and elf in the oak) and Ithaca Farmer's Market (must see - so plan a Sat or Sun there). Sunsets were fabulous from the porch and over the fields and the hens were a joy to experience - so cute - and the gentle Q was so good with our cautious rescue pup. But the best part of the stay was Carey's hospitality - tending to every need and providing great suggestions of things to do/see tailored to our interests and giving us a true taste of the area - with local fresh eggs, fruit, wonderful baked bread, granola, cider, wine, cheese, baked goods and the best yogurt ever! We didn't even miss the tv (during football and world series even)!

One of our favorite AirBnb experiences! This place was perfect for our family to get together under one roof. Joan and Leo were very pleasant and easy to communicate with and were extremely flexible with our requests. The home was beautifully decorated and we were able to have great family dinners in the huge dining room! The amenities were many which made for a fun, relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Highly recommend this place and hope to come back to stay again!

With both our kids meeting up with us, the kitchen worked like a charm as they were very excited for a home cooked meal. Also, the description on the website matched very well, and it was clear how much the nightly rate would be beyond the two of us. We would certainly stay again.

Our family stayed here right after Christmas & not only did the accommodations fit us perfectly, it was nice to be somewhere that was decorated for the holiday. The house was of course old, but that is part of the charm. The bathrooms were pristine & the grounds were beautiful! We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Martha!

We had a fantastic stay at Deborah's property! The location was perfect for exploring the Finger Lakes, and the house was cozy and accommodating for our group of six, plus our dog. It was also infant-friendly, which made our stay even more comfortable. The hot tub and games were definite highlights, adding to the fun as we traveled from Canada to connect with family. Deborah's communication was excellent throughout our stay. I highly recommend this property!

I highly recommend Shawn’s home- it was beautiful and peaceful stay! The entire place was neat and tidy, everything was easy to find. Our group had a great time watching the birds outside of the windows and watches for other animals outside. We would definitely rent this home again. Shawn is a great host!
