Family-friendly vacation rentals in Auburn

It's a special spot to be able to stay right on the lake. Enjoyed that there were chairs on upper porch and right on the water too. Two parking spots right down by the house. Loved walking our dog across the road on the trail that runs parallel to water and main road. Really comfy living room dining area.

This is our second visit and we love it here! Highly recommend around the holidays.

What a beautiful, relaxing home. i needed a place to relax after a long day of volunteering and this was beyond my expectations.

Amazing access to the lake - just as pictured! Very helpful hosts who met us and helped us enter the tricky driveway. The house is fully equipped with everything one might ever need on a summer holiday. A very nice jacuzzi, and an amazing deck. The inside of the house if very clean. It's only a 10 minutes drive to Ithaca, with many restaurants. To mention some drawbacks, there is no AC so rooms on the second floor may get a bit hot (but there are fans in most bedrooms). The house is directly on a rather busy road, and most bedrooms have windows to the road side, so it is not quiet. There is a train track, but there were no trains during our stay. Overall, highly recommended!

We loved our stay at the Applegate House. David was a fantastic host. He reached out with clear instructions and great recommendations before we arrived and greeted us in-person to show us around the house. The house itself was wonderful – cozy, clean and well-stocked. We loved waking up and watching the deer outside, then listening to records while we made breakfast. We also loved that we were able to enjoy the beautiful countryside while being just minutes away from Ithaca, Taughannock Falls and Watkins Glen. It was a perfect home base to explore the Finger Lakes and a relaxing spot to return to after a busy day. We've already recommended the house to several friends since we've been home.

The location was perfect to attend a wedding at Fountainbleu Inn (just a short walk to venue). Also, the location next to lake was wonderful. We had plenty of bedrooms with linens/towels and extras like trash bags, paper towels, toiletries, dish soap etc was very nice. The kitchen had what we needed to cook for 10+ people, except crock pot and griddle (which we brought from home). We enjoyed the hot tub and used the propane grill on the large deck. The owner stays close by and was in communication often.

Beautiful home and location. Laura was excellent to deal with and always responsive. First Airbnb I have ever stayed at and it was easy. Great location for shopping, dining and wineries.

Loved staying here with my pups. Really nice apartment, very cozy, especially in a snowy weekend. Really appreciated having separate heat for the main space and an air conditioner for the bedroom, we slept very well!

The apt is well situated, clean and furnished just right. The kitchen was fully equipped and the bath was fine. We had a problem with the heating, but as soon as I wrote Jia, he came right over and took care of it. We will be happy to stay there again.

What a lovely property! The view was gorgeous, farm house was beautiful, and we were within walking distance to a brewery. Doesn't get much better than that! Will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay! It was such a cool, unique experience and so much better than staying at a hotel. Our young kids absolutely loved it. Being able to go out on the farm and pick fresh raspberries , interact with the farm animals and pets, and walk around the beautiful property was more than we could have asked for. The place was cozy and felt like a modernized step back in time. Michele and Andy were so welcoming and friendly, we felt comfortable right away. We almost didn’t even need to go out and enjoy the surrounding area, the kids had more fun playing around the farm! Great location right off the wine trail and beautiful views right outside your door. Very convenient to many things. Would love to visit again!

Sarah's place is awesome! It was exactly as described. She was responsive and super flexible! It is a truly dog friendly spot, we loved our short stay!

A great outdoorsy and rustic place to stay. Clean with good vibes and relaxing views. Very friendly cats. Outdoor shower was clean with its own heater and had decent water pressure. At night small lights were blinking like fireflies so you could find your way with beautiful ambiance. I would certainly go again here.

This is a wonderful place—great location, charming, and extremely comfortable—the perfect spot for us, and Alexa was an amazing and accommodating host!! Definitely a new favorite spot in Ithaca.

Gratitude and Grace is an escape from the ordinary. Its a beautiful unique property in the country that was just about perfect for me and 7 bridesmaids for my low key Bachelorette. The grounds are lovely and well maintained, as it is normally a wedding venue. The inside of the mansion is eclectic and vintage. Ron is very nice and accommodating as well. Some things i may improve: Soap was watered down in all bathrooms Beds werent exactly comfortable, they seemed very old. Hot tub was just nice, It didnt get very hot though and the water was a bit cloudy The most comfortable bed is in the tiny rennovated garden shed. Although peaceful, we did have to request it be opened so we had the 8th bed as advertised. 2 girls had to bunk up together the 1st night, no big deal but would have been nice to know the 8th bed wasnt automatically available. The 7th bed is a fun loft with a ladder above a king sized bed. It was cute, but the bed was very uncomfortable so no one wanted it.

We loved this place!! There was so many amenities that we weren’t able to use because we weren’t in the house a ton as we were in a wedding, but boy did we miss out on them! We had a perfect stay and would absolutely stay again if we were ever in the area again. No complaints at all!

Great home. We didn’t use the pool but it was sparkling clean and beautiful as was the yard and house. Mike’s a great host and the beds were super comfortable. Close to family and a good place to stay.

A great rustic getaway! It was great being between cayuga and seneca lakes - everything was a 20 min drive to see beautiful falls in every direction, great wineries/cideries (finger lakes cider house had amazing food to go with the cider), great restaurants (stonecat and elf in the oak) and Ithaca Farmer's Market (must see - so plan a Sat or Sun there). Sunsets were fabulous from the porch and over the fields and the hens were a joy to experience - so cute - and the gentle Q was so good with our cautious rescue pup. But the best part of the stay was Carey's hospitality - tending to every need and providing great suggestions of things to do/see tailored to our interests and giving us a true taste of the area - with local fresh eggs, fruit, wonderful baked bread, granola, cider, wine, cheese, baked goods and the best yogurt ever! We didn't even miss the tv (during football and world series even)!

One of our favorite AirBnb experiences! This place was perfect for our family to get together under one roof. Joan and Leo were very pleasant and easy to communicate with and were extremely flexible with our requests. The home was beautifully decorated and we were able to have great family dinners in the huge dining room! The amenities were many which made for a fun, relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Highly recommend this place and hope to come back to stay again!

We had a fantastic stay at Deborah's property! The location was perfect for exploring the Finger Lakes, and the house was cozy and accommodating for our group of six, plus our dog. It was also infant-friendly, which made our stay even more comfortable. The hot tub and games were definite highlights, adding to the fun as we traveled from Canada to connect with family. Deborah's communication was excellent throughout our stay. I highly recommend this property!

I highly recommend Shawn’s home- it was beautiful and peaceful stay! The entire place was neat and tidy, everything was easy to find. Our group had a great time watching the birds outside of the windows and watches for other animals outside. We would definitely rent this home again. Shawn is a great host!
