Refurbished Stone Barn in County Down

SandraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful weekend at Gracey's Barn! the house was beautiful, spotless and lots of space. the garden was perfect for our dog and toddler to be outside all day, our little boy loved watching our for the tractors and saying hi to the donkeys nextdoor. The location is lovely and peaceful and we had the sound of the baby lambs across the road. Geraldine was a fantastic host, checking in to see how we were getting on and replying to us really promptly. We really appreciate getting to see the animals and the tractor on the farm, highlight of the trip for our little boy! We had a great day our in Kilbroney Park, which has a great playground for little ones and a cafe with seats outside, perfect as we had the dog with us. We'd absolutely recommend a stay at Gracey's Barn and we look forward to another visit!

Brookhall Cottage Pear Tree

This place is a little haven. It was cosy, comfortable and very peaceful. Although it is in the countryside, proximity to Lisburn and Royal Hillsborough are a short drive away. We had our little dog Ted with us and it was so safe to let him run around outside as all securely fenced. Pauline was friendly and responsive. I would highly recommend staying here if you want peace and beautiful surroundings. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
The exterior of a charming stone cottage features a vibrant green door framed by traditional brickwork. Twin dormer windows with diamond-patterned glass provide character to the rooftop, while the rustic stone walls highlight the building's historic charm.

No.33 Coach House

HeatherRating, 5 stars1 month ago
King Charles & Queen Camilla were visiting Northern Ireland at the time of our visit. The King’s residence is in Hillsborough, the castle being right next to Lorna’s house so it was busy for the duration of our stay, however, a five minute walk we were in the beautiful forest with fabulous views of the lake. The parking was challenging (only because of the Royal visit) but we were able to find a space right outside! There were plenty of nice restaurants for meals and some nice local shops to browse. Lorna’s house was very well equipped, full of character and warm The welcome pack was a lovely touch.
A cozy living area is highlighted by a warm leather sofa and a traditional open fire. The room features whitewashed walls and black quarry tile flooring. A doorway leads to the garden, allowing natural light to enter, with greenery visible just outside.

We had a great stay at the Beechmount Cottage! The cottage was in a great location for our needs, met our expectations and was more than large enough for my family of 4. Thanks to Carolyn and Adam who were very helpful and responsive to our needs.

We had a lovely stay at Declan’s place. It was a beautiful house with so much space. It was spotlessly clean with a very homely and comfy feel. We will definitely be back if we get the opportunity. Thank you Declan for all the goodies you left us so very thoughtful.
