Ito San is an amazing host and a very kind person who went above and beyond to ensure our stay at Moon and Sky was comfortable and enjoyable. From meeting us at the train station upon arrival to providing a thorough tour of the house and offering helpful recommendations for local events, Ito San's hospitality was truly outstanding. The room and the house was very clean, spacious, and well-equipped during our long-term stay, and we appreciated the opportunity to interact with locals and other guests during the weekends. This is by far the best Airbnb experience I have ever had! I highly recommend Moon and Sky to anyone seeking a long or short-term stay in Wakayama, and I can't thank Ito San enough for making our time there so memorable.

Mr. Natsu San is a great host, greet us when we arrive and give us a detailed room tour, and also some local points of interest. The house is very clean with everything you will need. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone who visits Wakayama city.

A quiet inn full of sunlight, 10 minutes on foot from Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine and the hot springs! The perfect inn for the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage and cycling

This is a unique place filled with antique atmosphere. It is quite dark at night, each room with 2~3 warm light light bulb. I saw milky way during my stay. Eiko-san is very caring and heart-warming.

Stay at a Tea Farmer's Inn in Kumano Hongu

ChristianRating, 5 stars1 month ago
What a fantastic place, the owners are both fantastic and they cook the best meals we had in our Japan holidays, you can see and feel the passion for what they do, they own a tea farm and their tea is really delicious, they are very accommodating and they will help you with anything, definitely worth every single dollar. Thank you again

The host is very friendly. The accommodation is also very good, with a clean kitchen, toilet and bath room. You need to bring your own toiletries, and it is a bit far from the station.

We stayed at Maki’s place on our to Hiroshima from hiking the Kumano Kodo. We only stayed one night but we wished we had arranged more time to spend in Wakayama. Maki was a wonderful host, she provided great recommendations, excellent hospitality, and even personally walked us to the local trails. Knowing that we had a long day of travel ahead of us to Hiroshima, Maki made us a simple onigiri in the morning, they were delicious and just what we needed on our travels. Thank you Maki! We will definitely be back😊
