Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Anderson County

This home is a gem. The host was very responsive to my questions. Great for a large group with plenty to do with a game room and private pier for fishing. The neighborhood was quiet and in close proximity to Tyler for shopping and restaurants. East Texas is such a beautiful area. I hope my family and I can visit again.

We had a wonderful fall break on the lake. We have visited the lake for years and love the area. It was wonderful to have the option for a lake front property.

Probably the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at! Beautiful location. Right on a cove off the lake. The view was great! We were able to fish right behind the house. The home was cozy but spacious. Perfect for our family of 3. The record player was our favorite! The beds were SOOO comfortable, and the bedding felt so luxurious. I have absolutely no complaints on this Airbnb. Will absolutely be back!

My daughters and I stayed to visit the Polar Express. We loved getting to view the horses and pet them through the fence. We felt very safe in the home. Loved the stay.

We had such a wonderful stay! Absolutely beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The house had everything we needed and was so cozy. Charley was awesome to deal with - quick to reply and very nice. We will definitely book again!

In my 5yr olds words when fishing off the dock with me " Mom it is so peaceful and beautiful here". He has ADHD ... he has NEVER appreciated a peaceful setting until this trip! Very relaxing spot on the lake with lots of wildlife and well tended to trees to admire. SO much to do in the area with daily excursions for the whole family we didn't even see it all ....and GREAT restaurants not to mention organic grocery stores. We did: Tyler: #1 zoo #2 rose garden ( missed the dresses museum... next time #3 kids museum ( & we didn't make it to the ice rink!), #4 Camp Ford Historic Site and Park #5 Athens: East Texas Arboretum. We took one day "off" from adventure for thanksgiving and 1 day so settle in/do some fishing. Wish we could have stayed longer! The spot/location in a true Gem. We would all stay again in a heartbeat ... would love to see the place during swim season or spring, was truly magical/beautiful in the fall! Fireplace makes you feel like you're in a hallmark movie.

What a wonderful escape from city life. Wide open spaces, well maintained property, so peaceful & quiet. We had a little extended family getaway to ride The Polar Express in Palestine. We enjoyed a couple of nice long walks around the property including a trip to the pond. We made Smores on the fire pit outside. Our hostess had all the Smores stuff we needed ready to go. We enjoyed the beautiful Christmas tree lights welcoming us from the road. We enjoyed our family meals together. Today we dined outside on the covered patio and enjoyed the panoramic view of the country. The home appears to have been built in the 60’s or around that time, it’s just charming and well maintained. Plenty of room to cook in the kitchen, kitchen well stocked with dishes, utensils, bakeware etc for our group of 9. Beds were comfy, all slept well. There were plenty of towels, extra linens and pillows. We enjoyed the Christmas touches around the home, ‘tis the season. Thank you so much Paula for your efforts!

This is such a great space. We enjoyed our time and would absolutely stay here again.

What an amazing experience! Our trip was unforgettable and Keith was very welcoming throughout our stay. The dogs were amazing tour guides, and showed us around the property. A peaceful and quiet retreat with a ton of exploring to do in the area. Thank you for an amazing stay!

What a wonderful place to stay. I felt like I was in "Little House on the Prairie".....but with modern day amenities like electricity and air conditioning of course! The kids LOVED, LOVED, LOVED, playing with Cowgirl (the dog) and feeding Vanilla wafers to the VERY friendly horses and donkeys! This was one of the highlights of the trip for them :) Also Katie was very responsive and helpful!!!!!!!!!!

House was well equipped and beautifully furnished. Host was quick to respond. Husband and son traveled to the area for work and it was nice and comfortable for them for the two weeks they stayed at the property. The loft upstairs and main bedroom downstairs gave them each some privacy. Would highly recommend this property if you’re in the area.

All the experience was amazing, the cottage cabin is so gorgeous, clean and comfortable, it has everything and more you can expect. The pool is super clean and the temperature was perfect, as well the hot tub. The share area has many fun activities, and Stacy and all the hosts are super kind. I highly recommended coming to visit Dead Cat Ranch, you won’t be disappointed.
