Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Anderson County

What a great house and location! The lake is so serene. The house is close to Jacksonville proper, so it’s easy to pop into town for groceries, etc. Although it was only myself, my aunt, and my tiny pups, I can see how a big family could easily fit here, lots of space and extra bedding and just about every lake toy you could possibly think of!! Lots of great outdoor seating, too! Do be advised that you can hear some highway noise occasionally and the East Texas Rail Line is very close by, so you will hear the trains blast their horns at all hours. But, other than that, this is a truly peaceful and beautiful spot, we watched all manner of bird life: cranes, egrets, ducks, a big goose, hawks, buzzards, etc. We will definitely book again!!

The house and location were beautiful! Perfect for a weekend getaway with the family. The host was very very nice and responded quickly with any question we had. Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I stayed here at Charlene and Darrell’s place for our anniversary and bday getaways for 5 days and 4 nights. The home was everything we imagined it would be. So cozy, clean, the backyard view is awesome and the record player was amazing. Also made friends with Izzy the chocolate lab lol We Made some beautiful memories here and will def be coming back.

From the first clarification questions asked to the moment we were driving away, Frank, the host contact, was great and responsive quickly. The house is very spacious and welcoming for large families needing a quiet place to relax, enjoy the lake, and spend time together. The rules and guidelines are lengthy, and great to know exactly what to do as well as realize how much they care to keep the home welcoming for future guests as well. There always seem to be little hiccups in family trips, so it was great to have quick and easy communication with Frank, our host. I definitely will definitely look forward to checking in with Frank for future stays while visiting close to my brother's family in SE Texas. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property with all the amenities one could need and Mary was extremely helpful and responsive . The property was immaculate with magnificent views and direct access to the lake. The area was nicely secluded but still close enough to local communities which allow for plenty of dinner and shopping/antiquing opportunities. We will definitely stay again when we are back in the area.

We had a fantastic weekend getaway at this Airbnb! The price was great for everything it offered. The location was perfect—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature, making it the ideal spot to rest and recharge. The home was clean, well-kept, and very dog-friendly, which was a big plus for us. We loved how relaxing everything felt, from the serene surroundings to the cozy atmosphere inside. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a calm, refreshing escape!

The place was very beautiful and the house reminded me of my grandparents home when I was a little girl. It was very nostalgic for me. The only issue that I had was getting the electric fence turned off. I didn't know exactly where to look and it was late in the evening when I arrived. But once I called Paula, everything was perfect. Great place....Great host....Great experience.

The Larissa House was beautiful, comfortable and had everything we needed for our family members. The rooms were tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. I enjoyed having coffee on the front porch this morning while the birds chirped. We would definitely stay here again.

The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars for location is because it was further from Palestine than I wanted…but that’s on me for not looking closer at the listed distance. It was a blast to get the tour of the petting zoo and Courtney couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. And because of staying there, we discovered what a delightful town Athens is, which we wouldn’t have if we’d stayed closer to Palestine. The dogs hung out and made us feel safe, a real plus. Would totally stay there again!

Tanita and Keith’s cabin was cozy, quiet and just what we needed for our two day getaway. The bed was comfortable, the screened in porch was perfect for listening to the birds and drinking coffee in the mornings. There was beautiful hiking right outside your door that led to a peaceful pond. We enjoyed their two big friendly Great Pyrenees who kept us company on one of our morning hikes! We also loved watching the chickens walking about the grounds! Our hosts were always available if we needed them. We highly recommend their place if you need to recharge!

We loved staying at Katie Beth's place, and she was the absolute best host! She gave us so many recommendations for places to try and things to do- which was amazing because we went down there with no real plans, just a spur of the moment spring break vacation! My kids LOVED the animals (they have the sweetest dog and cats!) and the property was just so peaceful. We can't recommend the experience enough! Thank you for everything, Katie Beth!

While there a storm came through and I enjoyed the sound of the rain on the cabin. The cabin has a well equipped kitchen and great main room. I really enjoyed relaxing evenings during my stay. My travel was for business so time to wind down was important.
