Very nice little villa. Comfortable bed & pillows. Clean neat. Perfect to relax in this house. Great pool. Quiet and cozy. Good contact with the landlord. Close to Maeklong railway market. GRAB doesn't work here, BOLT works better.

Uncle Chef's Homestay (Air-Cond.)

The host is truly exceptional, kind and helpful. He will take you everywhere to visit all the important places around. They advise you and always make sure to suggest activities that you enjoy. He dedicates his time to your stay. (For a small fee in addition to the amount you'd like). The beds are not the most comfortable but do the job. The place, the location is idyllic, quiet with a stream! You will be immersed in the less touristy side of Thailand. I can only recommend this place.

Unique Amphawa Canal Experience ( breakfast for 2)

IreneRating, 5 stars14 months ago
Winai is a very welcoming host and a pleasant communicator. I was lucky to meet his family who are very sweet people. As to the place, it's not a houseboat, it's a room in a hotel in the countryside near a couple of beautiful ponds with a great chilling area. There's no public transport and no Grab in the area (no available drivers) and if you walk you may get unwanted street dogs' attention (people don't walk here) but hosts offer to take you around for a fee, otherwise you need to organize personal transport before coming here. Nearest restaurant and shop is ~3 km away, train station ~5 km away. You can book a rafting tour in the area which is pretty amazing, you go down the canal in a mangrove forest on a bamboo raft and then stop to eat local treat and watch locals fishing. When I was there they caught this huge river prawn which I saw for the first time. Also, there're iguanas in the area which are pretty huge and just live nearby. It was cool to see them in their natural habitat.
A brick building with multiple windows and a spacious outdoor area is depicted. Surrounding trees provide shade, and a gravel path leads to the entrance. The area appears open and inviting, with a blend of natural and built environments.
