Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Alpena County

Awesome house - it's a few blocks east to the lake and or a few blocks north to downtown and the river. We visited in the winter, but with the deck and backyard it would be great in the summer as well. I really liked that there are two large rooms for visiting on the main floor while the bedrooms and study are upstairs, so when someone want's quiet or a nap, they can go upstairs without interfering with the conversations. There is also a furnished basement/game room. I've traveled quite a bit, and for the price, Alpena airbnb rentals are extremely high quality. Stay at Sue's - it's a great find.

I wish I could put into words how amazing this stay was! There were so many activities to do here, it was insane! I wish we had more time to enjoy them. It was very peaceful, kayaking down the river was a beautiful experience (definitely recommend water shoes, rocky bottom). They are also very accommodating for pets or for babies, have extra things just in case you forget something. 100000/10 would recommend to anyone!

Beautiful, serene, and felt like home. My two dogs LOVED the pond out back and we all enjoyed roaming the expansive private yard. Saw a ton of deer, napped in the hammock, had a peaceful bonfire every night in the large bonfire pit. I loved the hot tub under the stars and the big jetted bathtub. Comfortable beds and the place had everything we needed to cook at home. An absolute gem and we plan to return!

Margie and Chris were excellent hosts. The communication was great throughout. Clearly, things were thought through to make the guest experience as good as possible; extra pillows, blankets, toilet paper, paper towel, etc. They left pamphlets for the area sights to see, which was very helpful. The weather was hot the first night and cold the last night of my stay and Margie ensured that I was comfortable both nights - and even offered to bring over an extra heater on the cold night. It was a private, quiet place to spend some time, but there is also a lot to do around the area within reasonable driving distance - Connie’s Cafe, which is only 7 minutes away, is a must visit. There is also Dinosaur Gardens right across the street which was pretty cool. The sinkholes and Presque Isle lighthouses are about a 45 minute drive away but are worth the trip if you like scenic drives, lighthouses, nature and plenty of Lake Huron views. All in all, this was a five star stay. Thanks, Margie!

Loved this house with a beautiful view. It worked perfectly for our wedding with hosting family and friends. An excellent host. Great decor and plenty of room.
