CHALET WITH SAUNA FOR FANTASTIC SKIING

5 minutes' walk from a huge ski area and a bus stop outside for a 5 minute ride to other ski areas. No need for car hire, just walk from the train station. Ski hire/school, restaurants and food shops all within 5 mins. Great views across the mountains. Mountain nature reserve behind the chalet. WiFi, English TVs (2 of them!). 33Mbps Wifi One of five places I have listed. Over 800 guests a year now stay at my five holiday homes run by me. The apartment is in a great location close to the ferry, and close to the central part of Varenna where restaurants and bars and grocery shops are. Also close to the Monastero gardens, and the path up to the castle. The apartment is large with 2 bedrooms, living area, outside deck area, kitchen, small porch, full bathroom. It is off the main street so is very quiet. At this time of year in November many places are closed so need to check what is open. The ferry across to Bellagio is well worth the trip with boats running almost every 30 minutes.

Just amazing, if I could give 10 stars I will. Everything was perfect, the view from the apartment was to take your breath away, the apartment was equipped with AàZ from the bathroom to the kitchen: dose of washing machine, dishwasher, olive oil, coffee etc absolutely everything was there. As for Fabio's kindness…. We arrived on a Sunday, so there was no bus to go up so he offered to pick up our suitcases at the bottom of the mountain so that our lift at the end of the day was easier, always responsive, he told us the buses several times and a little extra for his French who helps a lot! The price is worth the visit a thousand times, we recommend 10,000%. Thanks again for everything!

Mauro is a warm and friendly man and a great host. He took time to meet us and help with luggage which we appreciated very much. At the house he showed us about and made sure we were feeling at home before he left. The house and the views are incredible and we didn't want to leave. Mauro kindly helped us with our suitcases when we left as well. It felt like staying at the house of a friend and we enjoyed it very much.

We felt comfortable immediately. Marcel provided us with information before the trip and was always available to answer questions during the stay. He is really a good, friendly and straightforward host. The apartment is as described very nice and quiet and offers a great view of the mountains. Oberiberg is a friendly, rather familiar place with some typical Swiss inns. In winter, the area also offers sufficient leisure activities for non-skiers like us. We had a very nice vacation and didn't miss anything.

Daniela was super flexible, allowing us to check in early and stay an extra hour past check out, and very responsive to questions, both before and during our stay. They also put us in touch with a driver who picked us up at the Milan airport, with 2 car seats for our children. This made the transfer to Varenna, after a long day of travel quite smooth! The building has an elevator, which came in very handy with luggage and a stroller. There is a very thin partition in the apartment, and you can hear everything the neighbors say, but everyone was courteous and it didn’t affect our stay. The cafe directly downstairs was also very convenient (you can sit down or order anything to go) and the staff were so friendly! Overall, the air bnb and location were great and we loved our time in Varenna!

Wonderful and large covered patio, which we used constantly even when weather was not the best. Location was perfect; located above the main road down at the waterfront. Carlo was very helpful and promptly responsive when asked. Highly recommend.
