Cottage vacation rentals in Allegheny River

The description and photos are very accurate but do not do justice to this cottage. It was absolutely perfect, we fell in love with it as soon as we walked in. You can see all the hard work and effort John and Lori put into this place for their guest. It was decorated beautifully, my husband loves all the canoes that were sitting around. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away and just relax. Thank you again John and Lori.

I stayed at many airbnbs and this one easily takes a spot in the top 3. Kelly's place was everything you could wish for. We felt right at home as soon as we walked in. The cottage was clean and way better than its description. The kitchen was stocked with everything one would need and even included snacks and water. Kelly also provided us with firewood for the fire pit! The beds and linen were comfortable and clean and the bathroom was spotless. Kelly proactively reached out to us and even suggested nearby places we should visit. The place is within an hour drive of multiple attractions and if you don't feel like driving far, the lake has everything you need. This is one of those places where after just day the first thought is "I need to book here again"

Brian and Charlene truly went above and beyond as hosts! Their thoughtful recommendations for places to visit and dine made our stay extra special, and they were always quick to answer any questions we had. The cottage was absolutely charming—exactly as described and perfectly suited to our needs. We were greeted by the rambunctious and vocal resident geese, who added such a fun touch to the experience. The ambiance was pure tranquility, and the hot tub offered the most peaceful relaxation, free from any distractions. If you're dreaming of a secluded, rejuvenating getaway, this is the perfect spot for you! From the stunning scenic drive to the five-star hospitality, this trip will stay in your heart forever.

The home is so beautiful, I took pictures because I really want to build a home and it’s what I’m going to base it off of!!! Kathlene was so helpful. Anything we needed she was right on it.!! we will plan on coming again in the future! You will not be disappointed in this location or the home itself!!

In the fall, my family stayed at Hilee's other cottage and loved the decor and the special touches. The Vintage Vibe cottage is equally charming and comfortable. The welcome muffins and other goodies were a much-appreciated touch. Hilee was upfront about the size of the cottage so we can't complain but it was a little cramped for 5 people (having to share one bathroom). The ceilings are rather low which made it seem smaller but cozy. We loved the outdoor space- the hot tub, the large backyard and the lounge area with a gas coffee table heater. The location is one street from Atherton, a busy street, but there isn't really any traffic noise. The surrounding neighborhood is a little run down but seemed safe. The Vintage Vibe cottage is definitely a stand out!

My family and I stayed at Tony’s place for a long weekend and I have to say it was amazing!! First of all Tony made sure that we had proper directions to the property and how to access the house. Upon entering the house we were astounded by how lovely Tony’s lake house is and then the views of the lake were just panoramic!! We could not have found for a better place to stay! We had easy access to our own private little beach, it was literally right outside the sliding glass doors and we could sit on the patio and watch the sun both rise and set. The kitchen was fully equipped, the house was very spacious and we were excited to find a bookshelf full of childrens books which made our little one very happy. Yes there were quite a few steps to access the property but we found the journey up and down the steps very doable and the path was very well lit. It was exciting going down those steps through the wooded property and watching the lake views unfold. We would definitely return!!

Very nice home in an awesome location. plenty of wildlife to see. So much to do in one location. .22 Range is such a neat feature.

We were stunned at how well equipped the kitchen was. It was a pleasure to cook. There's a lovely bathtub and a dishwasher, washer and dryer. The dogs had a blast romping around the property and the nearby beach. The beds are comfortable and it has 2 nice TVs. Thank you!!!

The Knotty Pine in Edinboro, Pennsylvania was a gem in a small quiet town, that has beautiful lake Edinboro within a couple blocks walking distance. Michelle is an awesome host and very responsive to any questions especially all the wonderful attractions and restaurants in the area. Her place is extremely clean and spacious for a family or a sporting event with lots of kids and just right for a couple or even a single person who travels. I really enjoyed using the fire pit at night in the backyard and walking and biking along the lake. Im definitely going back to Michelle’s in the near future.

My husband, parents and I stayed here for a long weekend. It was perfect! The cabin is so cozy, with plenty of ‘fire’ options - wood fireplace, wood stove, outdoor fire table and outdoor fire ring. No matter the weather- you have an option! Bathroom is so spacious, and the bedrooms are placed on either side, so there’s a buffer allowing for some privacy. Front ‘mud room’ area was great since we had some rain. Could leave wet clothes, boots and shoes there so the cabin stayed clean and clutter free. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to explore the area, and we hope to be back soon! 😊

Beautiful lake setting even for a rainy March weekend. Did get to enjoy fire on the 1 dry evening. Seating for meals was limited but outside table would help in warmer months. Also lower level bedrooms could be warmer. Loved the decor of old school local items.

I absolutely loved Dorothy’s place. It is so quaint and well decorated. I arrived on a rainy day and it felt so cozy to escape the elements and retreat inside into the cottage. The space is warm with plenty of room to spread out. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Ray and Patty were accessible even though we had no issues or need to contact them. The little treats and breakfast items were a nice touch. We would stay there again.

My wife and I had an excellent stay! We really needed to get away from the daily work grind and coming here made it very easy for us to do so. We got to relax, play board games, watch movies and cook a meal together. The rails to trails was very close to us and that made it easy to go on a peaceful hike. Our host were very kind flexible and generous. Thank you so much for such an excellent stay!

The Sunrise Inn provided a cozy and comfortable stay where great memories were made. Due to the weather, we unfortunately did not get to make a bonfire or enjoy the beautiful front porch with views of the lake, but we did see a rainbow over the lake! The kitchen and bathroom were spotless, and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking / entertaining. We made breakfast at the cottage and enjoyed eating at the local restaurants (The Anchor, Frog Pond, and Happi Jax). Valerie was a very friendly and responsive host, and we would definitely recommend her place to future guests visiting the lake!

It’s one of the greatest cottages we been to! Beautiful location and fully equipped and such a smartly designed! Absolutely loved it and would come again!

Kristine's place was beautiful, quiet and peaceful. It was clearly well-kept, smelled lovely, and had everything we needed. Kristine was very friendly and responsive, and left us a delicious treat from the nearby bakery! I would give this like a 4.9 if I could. The only downsides to the place were a lack of cell signal (though we knew this would likely be the case before staying) and that there were quite a few ladybugs inside the house, hanging out around most of the windows. That said, they were just ladybugs and didn't really dampen the experience. Great host, great host, would recommend to anyone.

Jamie was a fantastic host!! The cottage is beautiful and very modern. One of the first things we noticed was the heated floors!! The place was warm and cozy and had everything we could need! It was so private and peaceful tucked into their beautiful property. We love it and will definitely be back!

This place was amazing! Super private, peaceful and relaxing. The sauna was amazing and got super hot and also the shower with it felt so good. Also we used the grill for some streaks and they turned out so good. The place had instructions for everything and even for cleaning which makes it so easy and helpful! We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon! 10/10 would recommend!!

Our group felt right at home at Denise's beautiful cottage. The house was very clean and everything was provided for a comfortable stay. The highlights for us were the back patio, fire pit and the living room which was perfect for movie nights. Additionally, the property is walking distance to both a public beach and long point provincial park. Thank you for hosting us, Denise! Hoping to come back in the summer.
