Vacation rentals with a hot tub in Allamakee County

We loved Kari's place! No frills rental that was super clean and prepared for guests, but still had thoughtful essentials and felt cozy. Great space for gathering inside and had the weather been warmer we'd have used the deck and seating outside for sure. Lots of recommendations for things to do that were a bit of a drive for us, but it was a perfect place to hunker down and enjoy a weekend together. Thank you!

This was such a great place to stay for a laidback get together to celebrate a birthday. We had everything that we needed in the kitchen to cook meals for each day we stayed, enough towels for 5 people for showers and to dry off after the hot tub. The bathrooms were stocked up with travel sized soap and shampoo/conditioner. A very beautiful & clean cabin experience! The trains were not a bother whatsoever even if they were frequent, we enjoyed them and didn’t find them to be a distraction or too loud. We ended up hiking at the Sugar Creek Bluff which we found with the brochures left at the cabin. The overlook was absolutely beautiful! There was plenty of room for a group of 5 and easy check in/check out process. We enjoyed the sunset and sunrise view that the stay provided and the view of the river. While the cabin was nearby to others, we felt very private and secluded. We were not bothered at all during our stay which was preferred. Also, the clue game was so much fun to complete. :)

Very beautiful location with a great view of the Mississippi River. We had fun playing pool and spent time in the hot tub and around the fire. We would definitely come back and recommend to others!

Beautiful, cozy house with a beautiful river view! The house was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. We had a wonderful weekend with family. There were 11 people in our group, the house provided ample space for all of us to be comfortable. The host was very communicative and responsive. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

This was our second stay at this location. The second time was just as great as the first time. House was clean, private, and with easy parking. Restaurants and a small grocery store are within easy walking distance. We really enjoyed our time on the screened-in porch watching the trains, river activity, and wildlife. The mulberry tree at the side of the porch was filled with berries and attracted squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks, and a variety of birds. Donna was very responsive to all communications. We’ll definitely stay here again!

We spent two nights here at the end of December. The cabin was clean, warm, peaceful. Great amenities, including the hot tube which is outdoors but in a screened in porch with direct access to the lower level (and great views!). A great getaway, we hope to be back!

The house was spacious and comfortable, which worked well for our group of seven women. We enjoyed the hot tub, cozy evenings by the woodburning stove, and the serene views overlooking the river—it made for a relaxing getaway. We ventured out to Viroqua and enjoyed the charming coffee shop in Lansing, IA. Although the cold temps kept us from hiking, it's a great area to explore. One note for future guests: the driveway entrance is steep, so we were grateful for the clear weather. Overall, it was a lovely friends' weekend away.

Comfy and clean

House was clean, had anything you need to cook or clean during your stay. Self check-in was easy, host quickly responded to any questions I had. Check-out instructions weren’t extensive. We used the hot tub every night! Highly recommend this host and will likely book her other properties in the future

We stayed with our three young children for a long weekend and it was everything we hoped for. Cozy, clean, and peaceful with everything that we needed!

We had such a great time here! The cabin was beautiful and the setting is so quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed many hours in the hot tub and had fun exploring the little town of De Soto. Porks bar was our personal favorite!! We are hoping to come back and make this an annual couples trip. Thanks for the best birthday getaway!

We had a lovely stay at Honey Bear Acres. The cabin was cozy, clean, and equipped with all the amenities you would need. It was even decorated for the Christmas holiday. The hot tub was a delightful treat. You couldn't pick a better location to hike and explore the surrounding area. We would definitely stay here again.
