Vacation rentals in Álftafjörður

A quiet retreat in the Westfjords not far from the town of Isafjorda. The home was clean and peaceful and gave us room to spread out. It has a beautiful view of the mountains flanking each side of the fjord and was very private even with other homes nearby. We appreciated having a hot tub to relax at the end of the day and access to a laundry room.

this is the place to stay if you want the real Iceland. So peaceful and so spectacular.

Loved our stay, very comfortable, clean and spacious place. Very peaceful, beautiful and quiet surroundings. We thought there would be wifi, there was not which was overall fine. Highly recommend, great base to explore and all went smoothly.

Hjortur’s house felt like a home, with all the amenities to make us comfortable - cozy fireplace, blackout shades, hot tub and so much more. It’s ideally situated, around the corner from the town pool and playground, on a quiet street, with easy walk to restaurants. We especially appreciated all the thoughtful instructions posted in the house that made the appliances easy to use. Check-in was easy and the housekeeper lives down the street in case we needed anything. It was the perfect place to relax at the end of our trip to Iceland and we loved it so much, we’d give it 10 stars if we could.

Best stay I have during my trip here in Iceland. Saw Aurora during my 2 nights stay here. A must visit place. They have a game room at the basement that you can spend good time with your family.

Our stay at Radim's place was magical. The kirkjufellfoss are at walking distance so you don't have to pay the parking. There is a coast hike to do. And if you are lucky, the cabin is ideally oriented to see the northern lights! Amazing stay, I really recommend!

This was the perfect place for our family of 4. Lots of space, a well-stocked kitchen, and the hot tub was the perfect touch at the end of the night! Bjorn responded immediately any time we had a question. His house is conveniently located for adventures on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, and walking distance to several restaurants and the grocery store. We loved it!

Baggo’s place is a perfect alternative to the hotels in Isafjordur. Conveniently located and walkable to everything with a view of the harbor from all windows. It’s set up well for couples or families or even solo travelers. Would definitely stay again!

This is our second time in this cabin. It’s a beautiful rather simple place, very close to Ísafjörður but secluded, in nature. You are surrounded by a forest, with a constant sound of the waterfall and a beautiful view towards the fjord. There are nice big windows, everything you need to cook, and a feeling of home, with all the ornaments. The bed and shower are a bit small, but you can manage. Johann is extremely hospitable and let us stay a few extra hours the day after our big Horsnstrandir hike to do our laundry in the nearby campground. Thank you, Jói!
